I am SO happy I live right down the road from this place. It's definitely going to be a new usual spot for me. The food is great, the service is even better, and the atmosphere is amazing as well. We sat outside by the fireplace. It was super cozy. You can also sit at the bar while being outside, they have a little section with open windows. I thought that was pretty cool. We got Taylor as our server and he was the best I've had. I'm not big on those servers that show up every 20 seconds asking how the food is. He knew when to come over, had a great personality, and suggested great dishes! I got the seafood pasta (added pic below) and a peach something, I don't remember the name but it was really good! I would highly recommend coming here. They also had good entertainment, this lady was inside playing the piano and singing. Eataliano is a pretty good Italian restaurant but I found myself a little frustrated at the execution of the dishes. Reading the reviews I see a lot of really good and really bad reviews and that actually makes sense based on my experience. The restaurant is obviously trying to do everything right. The ambiance and design is pretty good, the service I got was also excellent and I liked the menu and beer and wine list. The quality of the ingredients was high but the dishes themselves could have been better. It seems like the kind of place where you can have a 2 or a 5 star experience based on which dishes you order. My wife got the chicken parmesan panini. It was kind of bland and the chicken being grilled gave it an odd flavor. The ratio of cheese and sauce compared to chicken was rather low. It was kind of a more healthy take on chicken parm sandwich but it missed giving you the experience you expect when taking a bite. Also, she got fries on the side and the fries were cooked fine but the seasoning on top was overwhelming. It looked like it was dumped with Old bay or maybe just paprika and they gave it a dirty taste. Just a dash of Old bay and they would have been good but they were almost inedible. I order the margherita pizza. I liked that the crust wasn't super thin and had a decent heft. For the price it was a pretty decent bargain and better than most margheritas in area who give you that super thin crust and charge way too much for such a small pizza. The basil on top was way too much, some slices had double of others. After the first bite I just removed some of the basil and it was fine. The cheese and sauce were good but the crust lacked some flavor that the best pizza places somehow impart. My kid got the fettucini alfredo. It actually was spaghetti, but I imagine they make that concession for kids and she ate it up. I tried it and thought it was pretty good, maybe lacked a little salt but since a kids menu item that might also be a choice. Since I only ate here once, I wonder if these issues are consistent or maybe just happened to be with who was executing those dishes that night. I think this restaurant could really be helped by a consultant going over the final touches of their dishes and having an expediter review them and getting the seasoning right before serving. I really liked the concept but for me the taste of the food is the most important aspect of a restaurant and for pretty basic Italian dishes they need to be on point. It is the kind of place I would definitely go back and hope that maybe just didn't order the right dishes or an off night or dishes that can be easily improved. read more

Over priced....I had the Greek salad and breadsticks . The Greek salad dressing was way too salty. The chicken seemed like it wasn't terribly fresh. The breadsticks were very good. They come with a tasty marinara dipping sauce. I won't go back voluntarily lol. read more

Our take-out meal was incredibly disappointing. While the total amounted to $54, the two meals (eggplant parm and chicken parm) tasted as if they came out of a cafeteria. The sauce--a staple for Italian restaurants, one would think--was extremely unappetizing. The mozzarella sticks were the only edible thing we ordered. Additionally, when we entered the restaurant to pick up our food, two of the chefs had their masks placed on their chin!! This was unacceptable alone. This was our first visit and it definitely won't be the last. The drinks were great, we had delicious appetizers and our entrees were amazing. My wife had the mushroom ravioli and I had the chicken piccata. We were at the table planning our next visit in the middle of the meal. I must admit that I love Italian food and I can pretty hard on this genre. So when I had the chance to go to EATaliano Kitchen, I jumped at the opportunity. The restaurant is neat, fresh, and so typically of other good restaurants in the area, I was hopeful of a good to great meal and I was not disappointed. To start, I had the Calamari Fritti and it was very good. This appetizer was lightly breaded and cooked very well and the marinera sauce was spicy and made a great combination. After receiving this, I decided to try the Pappardelle Primavera with added shrimp. This vegetarian dish made with flat pasta noodles, oven roasted squash, zucchini, portabello mushrooms, eggplant, onions and peppers, cherry tomatoes, spinach, sautéed garlic, tossed in olive oil, fresh herbs and aged pecorino Romano was prepared quite well and I enjoyed the added protein of the shrimp to this meal. It was also prepared in a light, yet flavorful way and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the meal. Overall, this was a very good place to try a good Italian meal and I would love to come back. Very well done. read more

Wet pizza!! Yes there was so much cheese the pizza was wet. The service was great but the food needs some work. I felt bad for the server because he was really felt bad the pizzas went so wrong. This used to be our favorite go-to Italian restaurant. For the past several visits, however, the food has not been up to par. We wanted to make sure the restaurant staff and chef weren't just having an off day so we returned two additional times from December 2018 to April 2019 but the food and service had definitely declined. We later learned that the longtime chef, Marcello, had left the restaurant and that is what explained the lower quality of entrees. The bread and the salads are excellent but the pasta, seafood and chicken entrees were noticeably smaller in portion size and less savory. Fortunately, we found Marcello at his own restaurant on Roswell Road (called Marcello's) and we are happy to be able to find the same entrees (and more) that we used to enjoy at Eataliano. read more

LOVE!!!!!!! We ordered fettuccini alfredo to-go. The real test of a restaurant is how they prepare to-go food... its very easy to just sloppily throw it together. It seems since they won't be facing you when you are eating it they sometimes take less care. I have had bad to-go experiences in many restaurants that are good for dining in. But this was THE BEST FETTUCCINI ALFREDO IN ATLANTA!!! I am an admitted alfredo snob and I cannot believe that I found the BEST alfredo for $12.00! We had a party of 18 for a Saturday lunch following an Emory graduation. They took really good care of us! The appetizers were amazing (calamari, risotto meatballs, and bruschetta). My husband said his pizza was just ok. I had the chicken parm and it was pretty good, but not phenomenal. My MIL had the seafood linguini and said it was exceptional. The wait staff was great. My review is based on food that was delivered. I had the Steak calzone and caesar salad. Sadly my meal was not good. First I felt the dough wasn't cooked enough, it was very doughy and soft, it looked fine from the outside but the middle was all gooey, not from the cheese but the bread was just mushy inside. I've ordered calzones from other places many times, this one was just the worst I've ever had. The onions were thickly sliced and not as cooked as I would like, it had that slightly raw onion taste. I like onions more soft and almost caramelized. The steak quality isn't really good, they put big portion of the poor quality steak and I think if they just used better quality steak and not as much it would be better. I also think it needed more ricotta. I ate a third of it just because I was so hungry and there wasn't any food in my fridge, then threw the rest away which I hate to waste food but there wasn't any way I could fix it. This place was great. Natasha was our waitress. She was Super friendly and welcoming. We had the bruschetta and the calamari as appetizers. The also brought over some breadsticks. My son bite into one and said "they better be bringing more of these. Yum. It's delicious" . He's wasn't kidding. Very good flavor. Kids had spaghetti with meatballs and both really enjoyed it. The service has been great each time we have visited. Their Caesar salad is tasty. I'm a big fan of a tangy Caesar and theirs has a nicely balanced dressing. My wife can't eat gluten so their gluten free options have been a welcome accommodation and she enjoys them. My only complaint is that my lactose intolerance keeps me from enjoying some amazing looking dishes, but that's on me. If you're sick of being stuck in traffic on Briarcliff trying to get on 85, just drop in here and grab a bite. Let me start by saying that the food here is really good. Unfortunately the service is truly lacking for large parties. I attended a reserved group function there, and we had only one dedicated server for all 30 of us. There was lots of food order confusion and a complicated bill that took an hour to sort out. The experience was extremely frustrating. Very disappointed that the manager did not come out to address our problems or try to make the experience better. Because the food was delicious, I might give them another try on a weekday but I'm gonna need to wait a while to get over my frustration. read more

They lack any leadership at this restaurant. I feel sorry for the wait staff, they seemed to be trying to do their best given the handicap they had. We should have left before being sat down when we saw how frustrated one family was when the manager refused to come out to talk to them. A person took our name to be seated but they then forgot about us. It was a busboy who came over and asked why we were sitting there. They ran out of silverware, and then clean napkins. Never asked to refill tea or water but we did get a lesson on their wine from a bartender. The food comes out at completely uneven times. 3 times one person ate while the other watched. Sometimes the beautiful exterior outshines what's happening on the interior. Not here. The decor gives is an old italian cafe look. The food and service, though, are why I'll be back.
