The staff are so friendly and kind here. Came in this morning and picked up breakfast. Got the Vadouvan Curry Chickpeas with a side of fried potatoes. Both are absolutely delicious. The chickpeas are light and come with lots of veggies. The potatoes are deliciously fried. While waiting for my food, the staff offered water and coffee even though my order was to go. Came here at 9:15am on Sunday thinking that there wouldn't be much of a wait but there was approximately 5 tables ahead. You write your name on the board outside and you can state whether you prefer indoor (I), outdoor (O), or any (A). I didn't wait too long for seating and given that I chose either outdoor or indoor, we were seated outside fairly quickly. My friend and I got the ham and tomato benedict ($~15) as and well as waffles with berries and creme (~$10) to share. The benedict was interesting because I think they used a baguette rather than an English muffin. The egg was poached perfectly. The country potatoes were flavorful and delicious. The waffles came with berries, bananas, and whipped cream. The whipped cream was light and the batter for the waffle was just right. There was too much whipped cream for my liking but I was easily able to scoop some away. Service was fine. We had 3 different servers ask if we were doing okay. Got take out during COVID so not sure if the experience would be different during usual business. Tables for outdoor dining were limited and first come first serve so we just brought the food to a park afterwards. You can order at the window and they get the food ready quickly- about 10 mins. We got: -chicken and waffles: $15~ one small chicken cutlet, 2 small waffles, bomb mushroom gravy (saving grace of this dish), and syrup. Overall I liked the dish but it was a disappointing portion and didn't seem like anything special for the price. Felt like a McDonald's breakfast tbh -farmer's scramble: $13-14 simple, fresh veggies, scrambled eggs, goat cheese. Came with choice of potatoes or a salad. This was tasty and fresh, the goat cheese was my favorite. Again, portion was small and dish was kind of simple for the price. -steak sandwich: $11.50 My friend said the meat was high quality and sandwich was yummy. It had eggs, a green sauce and tender steak. This item was a la carte. They could probably charge $13-14 and throw in a side dish. If you're looking for a quick place to get take out breakfast, this is an option but there are also plenty of other delicious options nearby that are a better value. read more

I've been going to Eats for years now and they never, ever disappoint. I'm such a fan of their Bloody Marys, their potatoes, and I've never had a meal here I didn't love, so I'm gonna go ahead and say that whatever you order you will not be mad about it! Absolutely loved this place! Eats definitely lives up to all the hype they receive on yelp. Came in on weekday around 11am or so (not to sure what the exact time was). There was no wait as we were seated right away. If you have never been here, the dining area is not very big so if you have a bigger party I recommend arriving before they fill up. With many options to chose from, deciding on what to pick was a struggle. Everything sounded and looked(yelp pictures) AMAZING!!! Finally we decided on the B.A.T. and the Pork Hash. I have to say, the food was EXCELLENT! Everything mixed well together in the B.A.T. and the scrambled eggs were cooked just right(not dry). The pork was so tender and full of flavor and the potatoes in both dishes were an excellent compliment. To top off that off, the service was excellent as well! We never had to flag our server down as we were checked in on periodically. I highly recommend you try this place if you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. I wish i took pictures cause the food looked as good as it tasted! I ordered the waffle bacon, my sister got the tuna sandwich, and my friend got the huevos rancheros, and we got 2 mimosas, a latte, and the green drink. The green drink was really good, had a nice little spice in it, and was really refreshing! Mimosas were tasty as well, just very tart. The food was sooo good. I got a side of pico de gallo for my waffle bacon (highly recommend). Prob the best savory waffle I've ever had tbh! My friends huevos rancheros was also super tasty! And the tuna sandwich had some greens, i think sprouts or something, that made the sandwich refreshing. Overall great brunch spot! Great service, friendly staff, solid food. Got the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was very much like katsu chicken. I guess it's a preference thing, but I didn't think it worked well with the gravy it came with nor with the Belgian-style waffles. Too much clashing rather than a nice marriage of flavors. I normally don't leave reviews but I was honestly stunned by my experience at Eats. My friend and I each ordered an entree salad with a chicken add on. The salad was minuscule - truly the size of a side salad - and boring. And the $7 chicken add-on was one small chicken thigh that wasn't even mixed into the salad. We spent $80 including tip (each of us getting one drink) and left still ravenous. I can't believe we spent almost $100 for two side salads and some sparkling water. Service was nothing special and, frankly, rushed. I will not be returning or recommending this place! read more

Eats is busy on the weekends! Check the wait-list time and fill in the fields required and then make sure to sign-in when you get there. I opted for their BAT scramble. (bacon, avacado[on top] and tomato) I had rye toast and potatoes on the side. Everything was good. There was a bit too much rosemary in the potatoes for my taste. Another hip and trendy brunch spot in the city! The wait wasn't bad on the Sunday we went because the nearby farmers market helped pass the time. Prompt staff and quick service. They were busy but we got our food shortly after ordering. I had the spicy tomato skillet with two sunny side up eggs. It was tasty and had a mild spice. The eggs were perfect. I also ordered the detox drink with beet, carrot, apple, and ginger. All good stuff! Parking was fairly okay to find since it's in the residential area so not too crazy. We popped in for a quick breakfast. It was OK. Hubby ya as a breakfast burrito and I took a bite. It was tasty but beans and burritos are not my kind of breakfast food. It came with with chunks of potatoes. I ordered a standard breakfast with 2 eggs, extra crispy potato chunks which had delicious roasted garlic cloves in it, and thin slices of multigrain bread. My cappuccino was rather bitter and I had to add a packet if sugar which I don't usually. Eats was a prominent feature of my friends' Instagram stories, filled with colorful plates and tasty-looking entrees. But what no one warns you about on social media is the horribly long line you have to get in to even sit down, buffered only by the Yelp waitlist that probably saves about 20 minutes of idle menu revising I came with my SO and his family for a hearty brunch before hitting the Presidio. They can be picky eaters -- some are pescetarian, some eat small plates, and others stick to the same menu items no matter where they go. Eats was able to deliver on all those things. There was a salad option for our sometimes-vegetarian, a kid's menu not restricted to children (as in there's no "YOU MUST BE UNDER 12 TO ORDER THIS" line on the sheet) for the older crew, and a hearty eggs/potatoes/pancakes/breakfast meat option for younger siblings who prefer the tried-and-true. Because I prefer to try something new every place I go, I ordered the huevos rancheros. Eats's rendition of the dish featured perfectly runny eggs, crisp tortillas and some really tasty black beans. Typically I opt for the meat option at a breakfast joint, but this kept me full all day. My SO, who caves to his sweet tooth all the time, got a platter of banana chocolate chip pancakes. Their portions are fairly large on the pancakes and he found himself struggling to finish. The pricing was reasonable for a family of 6. I mean, it better be -- we were already getting over the shock of a chilly May in San Francisco and needed sweaters, so sticker shock would have made it even worse. Put your name down early on Yelp! It will save you time that could be better used for scarfing down eggs and pancakes. read more

COME HERE FOR BRUNCH! It's a cute place with a cute atmosphere. I wasn't feeling particularly hungry this day, but my friends wanted to try this place, so I decided to tag along. I'm glad I did. My order was the half waffle with the fruit. The waffle was fluffy and the strawberries were juicy and sweet. They do give you a good amount of fruit, even for just half of a waffle. Eats is definitely one of the better places to eat for breakfast/brunch in the city but that also means it comes with the requisite wait. On weekends there's always a crowd milling around outside waiting for a table so unless you come early or late expect to get a little hangry. We had a random weekday morning off and decided to take advantage. The place is not huge so we did have to put our names down but we got lucky with tables leaving and managed to get inside in less than 10 minutes. The servers here were so genuinely nice! They were very professional. The host updating us that our table would be ready soon and both of the servers making sure to thank us upon leaving. I really appreciated that. It's the kind of thing that I don't expect the average restaurant to pay attention to but when it happens it's really nice! Breakfast options were varied and I don't think you can stray too wrong with anything on the menu. There's definitely something for everyone with the menu ranging from a variety of omelettes, chicken and waffles, pancakes, huevos rancheros, toasts, and an acai bowl. Waffles were more dense than I like but still tasty and served with a generous helping of homemade whipped cream. Our ham and leek omelette was nice and leeky but missing the gruyere component or it was so subtle that I couldn't taste it. I love that they put whole garlic cloves with the potatoes. Only downside is for the price they don't have the largest portions but at least everything tasted solid. They serve equator coffee which was excellent. I'm a fan. read more

Love this place! I love it even more because it has a Yelp wait list which lets me join the wait list on the ride over, then gives me time to browse around the nearby until i'm closer up in line. I ordered the huevos rancheros and loved it! Everything was tasty, balanced and very fulfilling. It's additional for meat over the top but I thought that the dish was quite filling all by itself. I like eating it without meat because I feel like meat overpowers the whole dish but that's really your prerogative. :) I also took a couple bites from my boyfriend's tuna melt and loved it! Usually when you order a tuna melt the tuna is doused in mayonnaise and is honestly quite unhealthy but their tuna melt in this case was served with a hearty proportion of fish which greens mixed into it, which makes you feel like you were eating a much healthier meal. We got that with a side of tomato soup which was really delicious! I highly recommend this place for brunch if you are in the area. The prices are basic SF prices, but at least you are getting the quality of food you pay for. read more

This place was PACKED!!!! Good thing that they take yelp waitlist. We put our names down for a Saturday morning for 2, and it said it was about a 35 minute wait. We didn't get seated until maybe an hour after the time we put down, which we didn't mind too much since we just drove over close to our original suggested time to head over. It is a very cramped, noisy restaurant with little space inside and out. When I say cramped and noisy, the seats/tables are close to each other, so close that we could hear the WHOLE conversation that the two girls next to us we're having (they were talking at a normal level). I ordered the Mexican scramble, my boyfriend ordered the pork hash. We also ordered coffee. We normally share some of our food with each other so we can try more of the items. It's pretty funny because after our meals and as we were leaving, I asked him what he thought about his meal. He said he liked my breakfast more than his, but I thought his was a lot tastier! We should have just switched... In the end, we both thought that the food was average. Thank goodness for yelp waitlist, because we would not have been happy with a 1+ hour wait! read more

My beef sandwich cravings continue... Saturday we got up late; which is good and bad in the sense that yes we got to sleep in but bad in the way that finding breakfast was about to be a chore. Luckily me and my girl were looking at places as we rode in on the ferry. Can I give a shout out to yelp programmers for a sec though? They really are the true hero's. Isn't so awesome that we can see wait times at places now? Mainly for breakfast because let's be real, not being able to do reservations for breakfast/brunch really sucks sometimes. I think this new feature is really awesome though. In the same way we have a weather app on our phones, we can use the very same concept for wait times and because of that we took advantage of this Saturday. We knew that the wait time for a table of two was around an hour. Luckily we were about an hour away so we were able to put ourselves on the waitlist and plan it out perfectly. By the time we got off the ferry and took a Lyft to Eats, we only had to wait 5 or 10 mins for a table. Long live the yelps!! While trying to figure out what I wanted on the menu, I definitely looked around and noticed that the only parking there was really street parking so just beware of that if you do end up driving. I will also note that the area seems very safe. Just riding in the Lyft to Eats was a treat because you don't get to always see the nicer parts of San Francisco. Not long after, our table was ready and we were already ready to order. I ordered the Tri Tip Sandwich since I was in more of a Lunch mood. Along with that I ordered a Loaded Strawberry Lemonade. Super tasty! I personally wish it could of had just a little bit more Soju but with the taste I can't complain that much. Very refreshing! (They also have a really good deal where you can make your on Mimosa too. My girlfriend was able to make 3 out of her small order that she got.) As for the Tri Tip Sandwich itself, I was a little worried at first. The sandwich was just a tad smaller than I thought it was going to be but boy was I happy once I took that first bite. The tenderness of the Tri-Tip harmonized so well with the flavors of the horseradish and the spicy aoili. It's like you taste the beefyness right away but not long after you get the zing and sting from the other spreads. But what's this? Was there a hint of sweetness...? Yo. How could I forget about the caramelized onions?!? I almost feel like they brought the whole sandwich together. As you can see, the sandwich itself has a ton of flavor without even having to dip it into the Au Jus which is amazing. The Au Jus was pretty spectacular itself too. I go to a lot of places and honestly the Au Jus is sometimes just too subtle for me. When I get a French Dip type of sandwich I want that beef flavor to slap me in the face man. Not literally...But you know what I mean! I know traditionally that the Au Jus broth is supposed to be on the lighter side and that's why the put horseradish on sandwiches give the it that "pop" in taste but maybe I want the pop in my Au Jus too! Eat's does an amazing job with the Tri-Tip sandwich where you get carnival of flavors when you take that first bite but then once you dip the sandwich into the Au Jus it brings you back home and reminds you that the soul of sandwich is in the beef. Ugh...I'm so happy to be eating such amazing sandwiches recently! The fries? OH YEA! The fries were good but they were just aight. They weren't bad in any way. They just reminded me of slightly healthier Mc Donalds french fries. Eats is awesome. I forgot to mention that the service was amazing on top of all the great food we ate. That and the prices are very reasonable for the city. I definitely would be interested to try something more breakfasty next time but it's also good to know that Eats makes such bomb sandwiches here!! read more

Joined the Yelp waitlist that said our table would be ready in ~45-55 min. we got there on the later side and had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seated. The floor plan is ideally meant for tables of 2- and any larger tables was difficult to organize. Besides the extra long wait, the food was fabulous and decently priced. The Large Make Your Own Mimosa (MYOM) was $26 and was a bottle of champagne and a little carafe of orange juice. It provided 4-5 mimosas so it was perfect for our small group! The staff was extremely busy, so we struggled getting our check and water, but that is easily understood. They were super accommodating to people with dogs and children. Walk by on any morning or afternoon and you'll probably see people waiting outside, desperately trying to pass time until one of the servers calls their name when a table is ready. To my surprise, I recently discovered that there was another one of these popular restaurants in the unsuspecting Inner Richmond. Relax, the wait never gets as long as it does for Plow. But you'll be greeted with a short wait even if you come around noon on a weekday. You can kill time on the conveniently placed bench right outside -- our wait couldn't have been more than ten minutes. We had the two eggs special (over easy) with a salad, the spinach portabella benedicts with potatoes, a half order of the berries and creme waffles, and a single banana chocolate pancake. What I like the most about Eats is its homey, laidback ambiance. Find yourself unable to decide what to order, as I did? No worries, just get a berries and creme waffle and a banana chocolate pancake. It'll add up to $11.50, which is pretty standard for a brunch dish in the city, but I was surprised by the large portion size for that price! If I'm being honest, I don't usually care for sweet breakfast foods, but I was pleasantly sated after I had devoured both dishes. While the service isn't overly friendly because of how busy it usually is, the servers do their best. One of the servers non-creepily lingered behind our table (after our dishes had been cleared) while we were putting our coats back on so she could say the customary parting words -- "thanks, hope to see you again soon" -- which I thought was a really nice touch, staying true to the local vibe of Eats. I've been to Eats twice since it reopened. The first time was great and the second time was even better. The place looks inviting, clean and warm. The staff were friendly and on top of it and the food was timely and delicious. I've had the breakfast sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, and the maitake eggs. I've been wanting to try Eats for awhile but never got around to waiting in that long line- and here is where Yelp waitlist comes in!! My two girl friends and I timed it perfectly, so we only had to wait about 5 minutes before we were seated inside. We got a table that was directly by the open door, so it was a bit chilly at times. Super extensive menu options- we ordered the pork hash, chicken and waffles, and salmon and avocado benedict. My salmon and avocado benedict was a little too saucy for my liking.
