Went on a whim happen to be in the area in the morning and thought I would try breakfast. Location was fine. We actually found parking pretty easily on Clement, which was surprising and there were only two other tables at the time seated right away. Nice clean looking area to dinethe service was right on par This was rated as two dollar bill signs for price point but I found that it was a little bit higher than that. I would've said three dollar bill signs more accurately reflect the prices but everything is up in San Francisco. It wasn't outrageous nor was it cheap food came out pretty quickly and we ate everything so it must've been good! I would recommend it to people but just know that it's not really a bargain type place, but I would say fair market value for these days. My girlfriend got the Chile tostada plate and I got a pancake, which was very fluffy and delicious. One was enoughfor me. I am currently writing this from within the establishment. My friend and I have been seated in the restaurant for close to an hour (one saving grace is my now cold cup of coffee and her almost completely gone iced tea) we have had our order in since 1:05. Here is the timeline of events: come to the restaurant, walk up to the host stand and ask about the wait, treated like a complete vagrant stranger no hi or hello, 10-15 minute wait okay whatever that's fine it's a nice day, we get sat at approximately 12:55p, order taken around 5 minutes later, we get our drinks (mentioned above), we're sitting and chatting and that's fine, people who were sat at the same time, after us, and larger parties get their food and finish up. We start wondering what's going on with our food. Clock strikes 1:48, by our observation the kitchen looks to be cleaning up for the day. At this point they're still seating people close to closing the restaurant at 2pm. Still no food to be had. My friend who was with me walks to the host stand to ask where our food is, hostess asks how many in our party, forgetting she was the one who sat us. Actions are louder than words. Person who took our order, maybe they were the manager, comes over to apologize for "forgetting about us." Friend asks, "did they even make the food" he says they did not. Found my new go to brunch spot when visiting my parents! This is in the Richmond district with patio seating. They have the perfect variety of menu items without feeling overwhelming. We got the tosta-quiles, pancakes, fried chicken sandwich, and the Eats burger with bacon to share. All of the dishes complemented each other and it was the perfect way to try a bit of everything. I normally wouldn't share brunch food, but everything looked so good that we had to! My favorite might have been the potatoes- they were perfectly seasoned and cooked with a crispy outside and gooey inside. The pancakes are so fluffy and the texture is between Japanese soufflé pancakes and regular pancakes. The only thing I wouldn't quite recommend is their coffee and I wish they had fresh squeezed juices. But other than the beverages, you really can't complain about the food. The service is friendly, the atmosphere is cute, and our wait for a table outdoors was almost nonexistent. The fluffy pancakes tasted like madeleines. The almond rice flour pancake (side order) is slightly denser but still good. The pulled pork confit (side order) is crispy and yummy. The over easy egg is also good. We sat outside and they are very dog friendly with water bowls available for the pups. This is Eats 2.0 at the corner of Clement St & 2nd Ave. my understanding is they'd been closed, don't know the full story, and had recently reopened with a new menu and staff. We were warmly greeted once we walked into the small but sunny corner location. There's some seating along the outside perimeter of the eatery. We got our waters, menus and coffee briskly which is great when coffee is needed to make your morning okay!! We decided to share: MAITAKE SOFT SCRAMBLE (gf), a 3-egg soft scramble w/roasted maitake mushrooms, Bloomsdale spinach & goat cheese, fried potatoes & artisan toast. There an option for a salad in lieu of potatoes. But boy were we happy with our choice! First bite of the potato set the standard for the rest of the meal. The potato was properly crispy, fluffy hot interior and well seasoned, making my mouth very happy! Next the soft scramble w/bites of maitake mushrooms, spinach, and a tangy tinge here and there of the goat cheese made it absolutely delightful! A nice way to round out this plate was Bonne Maman apricot jam & butter for the toast. This was a clean well balanced breakfast plate that was light, tasty, & hot! Choose the salad as side if you want to be extra good but, darn, those potatoes!!! SIDE ALMOND RICE FLOUR PANCAKE (gf) w/fresh berries, whipped butter & pure maple syrup. This was a really fluffy pancake that melded well w/the butter & syrup condiments. Definitely would order again! We didn't intend on having a gluten-free breakfast but the ingredients and pairings sounded great and, guess what, it delivered! The waitstaff was attentive, thoughtful throughout our breakfast and all of them had a nice easy smile while checking in on us. What more can you ask for at the first meal of the day! Very busy brunch spot in the inner Richmond with good food and decent service. We waited half an hour for a table and the staff was nice to let us sit and chat even when we were done eating. Today I got the half-sized French toast (one thick slice instead of two), nicely caramelized with balsamic strawberries and creme fresh, as well as seasonal fresh fruit, a fried egg and coffee. The meal was so pretty I had to take pictures. The seasonal fruit included berries (summer) as well as thinly sliced pears and pink lady apples (Fall). I thought I had tried pink lady apples before, but these were different- pink inside the apple slices, with a yellow peel. It was a pop of color that helped energize my morning, and everything was delicious! We normally sit outside, but since today is Monday, the inside was not crowded, and we ate inside. I went here with a friend who was visiting recently. It was on a Wednesday and we wanted to get breakfast here around 10:10am and there was no wait! Now, I've never been here before, but I loved how they have such a large variety of breakfast items to choose from on the menu! Some of the breakfast items were not like the typical American breakfasts and I thought that was cool. Anyways, I got the Divorced Eggs and my friend got the Breakfast Suite. I enjoyed my Divorced Eggs because it was cool how the eggs were layered between soft tortillas and more eggs! The Divorced Eggs was basically like a Mexican style breakfast because of the tortillas and the salsas they put on top of it. The Divorced Eggs meal reminded me of an enchilada dish. My friend's item, the Breakfast Suite was more like the typical American breakfast with a waffle, sausages, roasted potatoes, and two eggs, which she thought was good too. I'd recommend this place! This place was booming with business on Sunday and it was jam packed with people inside and outside. Since there was a total of 5 people in our party, we were seated inside. I added an egg to it for an extra $3. It was delicious and tasted like a typical pork sandwich, except it tasted sweeter. If you're contemplating on whether or not to get the egg, honestly it does not make a difference. It didn't elevate the flavor or anything for me. The sandwich came with a side of potatoes that was sauteed in onions and this blew my mind! It was a nice surprise to find my sauteed onions and my potatoes to be seasoned to my liking. Came here for brunch on a Saturday and managed to snag a small table inside. I got the Maitake Soft Scramble and it exceeded my expectations. I'm usually very wary of scrambled eggs because it's almost always overcooked. This was actually still soft and creamy. The soft scramble with mushrooms and spinach is my go to. I skip the goat cheese and get a side of avocado instead. The soft scramble is perfect. Scrambled soft to perfection but the potatoes!!! They are theee most perfect potatoes. Perfect crisp on the outside but they still stay soft on the inside. Perfect seasoning of rosemary and sautéed onions. So addicting. The people serving here are super friendly and prompt. Easy to get sat and the coffee is quick to be refilled. I used to come to the old Eats multiple times a week. I do miss some of the old items, but the culinary instincts have generally risen and the price increase reflects prices going up everywhere. I've always been a fan of the chilaquilles they used to serve, so o was excited to see a new version called the Tosta Quilles pop up on the new menu. I have to say I really appreciate that the kitchen was SUPER HELPFUL accommodating my request to have a side of bacon sliced up and added on top! I mean it would probably take someone at the table quite a bit of a mess and maybe 4-5 minutes to slice that same bacon to be put on top. Having a kitchen so willing to use their sharp knives and cutting boards to do the same thing in 15 seconds is SUPER APPRECIATED! You wait in line to order (I only had to wait 15 minutes or so on a busy Sunday), and then seat yourself once you have a number, but the food honestly came out extremely quickly after I found a table. * Breakfast Suite - my favorite dish, and probably a new go to since I don't know if I'll be able to bring myself to order anything else next time. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and creamy; the bacon cooked perfectly, not too hard not too chewy; the potatoes were nice and crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, served with amazing roasted garlic; the waffle so light and fluffy with a light crispy outside and a dusting of powdered sugar. Every single component was honestly faultless * Steak and Eggs sandwich - Nicely cooked strips of steak with a chimichurri sauce, ooey gooey cheese, arugula, and a fried egg!
