Fantastic place to eat! The remodel is amazing and we are so excited that they are back open! The food here is consistently delicious and the owner is wonderful! All of the staff are great and so friendly. Today, my husband and I both got catfish and as always, it was delicious. Definitely recommend! ...oh, and don't forget the banana pudding!!

We stopped here on a road trip and rightly depended on the great Yelp reviews. We had wonderful food prepared with obvious pride - inexpensive but so satisfying. We had fried catfish and fried chicken, crispy and flavorful with zero greasiness. Collards were tender while retaining a bite and just the right balance of seasonings. Mac'n'cheese ranked with the best homemade we've had and not too salty. My husband is somewhat of a cole slaw connoisseur and was amazed at how good it tasted. You may be eating with plastic on styrofoam (this place is also a caterer, that's how good this stuff is), but silver cutlery and china couldn't make it any more enjoyable. And the place is clean and well-kept, another sign of the pride they take. We were warmly greeted with friendly service and thanked as we left. Bristol is fortunate to have this, and we wish we did at home, too.

Eatz was everything I hoped for & a lot I have missed since moving to the mountains from the deeper South. I couldn't resist the vegetable plate cause honestly I couldn't narrow it down to a few sides so I had to add extra ... plus a banana pudding to top it off. The service was perfect- available but not in your face. Only thing missing was the Mac & cheese BUT I love that they were making it fresh and it wouldn't be ready at the time I ordered. (We were first in at opening) We live about 45 minutes away but I hope to be back soon with my family.

The food was definitely the best in Bristol by far. Great fried chicken and really good sides. I love places that focus not just on their meat but also on their side dishes and this was a really good one!! Owner was super friendly. Just walk into this place!

Not good for kids. No kids menu -service staff not kid friendly. Came here on a road trip - family needed food and a break. Waiter was not happy with kids at his table - snatching items out of their hands without explanation. When I protested he rolled his eyes at me and was defiant. We did not order food - instead got up and left. Sorry can't judge food here but didn't want to eat there after the first 5 mins Recommend take the fam to the Angry Italian instead - down the block, night and day experience

Delicious ribs, catfish, fried chicken and corn bread, plus amazing banana pudding. Plus sweet tea, coleslaw, and collard greens.

State line bar and grill is just a few doors down. This grill, it appears, to be in a converted warehouse space. It is likely the whole block was a warehouse which was sectioned into separate commercial properties. It has 20' ceilings with tin ceiling tiles and nice industrial wood flooring. They have live music and karaoke nights. They have a nice selection of food. Seafood, burgers, quesadillas, wings, salads, wraps ... I tried their mushroom Swiss burger which was huge, juicy and delicious. I needed to cut it in half to figure a way to attack it and a lot of napkins. A fun fact: it is the State line grill because it is in Bristol TN but you cross the street and you are in Bristol VA! If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping in to try it out.

Sidewalks are partly covered so weather is not an issue, but crowds would make the trip more difficult. There are also several street buskers which can draw crowds, so just be aware and not in a hurry. You enter on the corner into the main seating area which is sort of separated by a hostess stand and the back of a booth. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we wanted. Seating is a mix of booths and tables and we selected a booth next to the window. Our server came right away and took our drink orders. There is also a board next to the hostess stand with listed specials. Looking over the menu, these were just regular menu items at regular prices. Our server returned and took our food order. The food took about 20 minutes to arrive, which was a little longer than expected. The bbq pork sandwich was dry and did not have a lot of flavor. The bun was fine but the dry meat made it harder to chew and took a lot of water to finish. In addition, the homemade chips were very crispy and salty. This plate left me parched even after drinking three glasses of water. The burger, however, was good. The meat was fairly juicy and toppings were fresh. The same homemade chips accompanied the burger and were also crispy and salty. The bathroom was in poor condition and appeared not to have been cleaned in some time. This was brought to our server's attention, who did not seem too concerned. Maybe this is a good place if you are seeking out music and alcohol, but there are many other options if all you want is lunch.

Hey friends! I went out with some new coworkers to this cool spot downtown…read more This spot is the rose that grew from concrete. Bristol is a rural town but certain areas are becoming more chic, such as this rooftop bar. I ordered a brown sugar old fashioned to start with. It was AMAZING. I would definitely recreate it at home, the flavors balance perfectly. For my entree, I had the chicken sandwich. The batter was perfectly crispy and seasoned well. I like that they use chicken thighs, which are juicy and makes for a delicious sandwich. Fries were okay, I wish they weren't steak fries. +Our server was friendly! She recommended great menu items. +Limited parking +Outdoor seating with a beautiful overlook of the city. Indoor seating as well. +Prices are a little above average. +Restaurant was clean and well stocked. I hope enjoy!

It's a really great way to try the food! Food (5/5): Elevated bar food! The kitchen from the downstairs restaurant, Vivian's Table, makes the food and it is really delicious. We tried the popcorn shrimp, which are breaded and crispy. Really great. We of course, had to try the Mountain of fries - these are matchstick fries and the best part was the three different sauces that come with it. The chipotle ketchup was my favorite. We also tried the wings, which were good..I am not a huge wing fan, though. The jalapeno poppers (wrapped in bacon with a cheese filing) were great, as were the steak nachos. And of course, the hummus with the fry bread was great, too. My hubby liked the hazy IPA that was on draft. Even better at $3.50 a pint during Happy Hour. I really liked the cocktails - some of my favorite was a new espresso based tequila (for the summer menu) and the creamsicle. Service (5/5): Everyone up here is super nice - the manager Landry, bartender Raine and all the servers were really fantastic. Ambiance (5/5): Location - This is the top of the Bristol Hotel, and one of the only rooftop bars in Bristol.
