A small old school pizzeria in valley stream I went there on the advice of my wife and was not impressed at first, however after talking to Eddie while waiting for him to make my pie I learned a lot about him and his business that he's had for over 40 years in the same store. There are no pizzas to choose from whatever you ask for you'll get and believe me it's going to be better than most of the pizza stores in that area and a lot of other areas.If you decide to stay and eat you'll not only enjoy the pizza but get an education on how it's made what toppings are the best and most popular and specially all about Eddie and his life in the business. This place is as close to a NYC pizza parlor you can get out of the five boroughs. I've never eaten anything other than regular old pizza, knots or pinwheels here, and I've never been disappointed. Eddie is the man. Him and his family and staff are personable and part of the what makes the whole experience of eating here enjoyable. Prices are reasonable, pies are made fresh all day long. I used to joke with Eddie that my only complaint was that with his last name being DiMaggio he was a Mets fan. He's a big sports fan and will chat with you about sports while you wait for your slices. I'm not in the area all that much anymore, but I used to get lunch here several times a month. It was worth driving 10 minutes out of my way. It's nice that mom and pop shops like this still exist, and that business owners like Eddie are still around. read more

We were in the neighborhood and decided to stop by this pizza place based on all the positive Yelp reviews. The place was completely empty and the guy there I believe was the owner. We ordered 3 slices and he suggested we wait for a fresh pie coming out, which was awesome because who doesn't love fresh pizza. The place is def a little run down and I'm note sure if I would actually do a sit down there but it's def worth to grab and a slice and go. The slices were smaller than the average slice but worth it due to the sauce and overall taste. We paid $10 for 3 slices and 2 cans of soda, not bad! read more

Another outstanding piece of pizza, was in the area called up yelp to check reviews of a local pizza place, the reviews for this establishment were great so I stopped in and I am glad that I did. The proprietor of this location was engaging and very friendly. We talked pizza, we talked about a few places in Manhattan and Brooklyn and in the end I bought the lunch special and he even gave me a small slice on the house. His Pizza dough is just the right combination of chew and crunch especially when it is warmed up the second time, it is especially so and I even commented to him that it ought to be a "thing". Just the basics for this guy a couple of cheese slices and a Coke, I was very content. The sauce has great flavor, it's not sweet and has just the right amount of spice without being over-the-top. The cheese is of great quality and has good flavor. Other reviewers have nailed it, his place his neighborhood friendly and I am .sure that over the 30 years he has been in business he has maintained good relationships and clients because he makes a great product. Came across this place by accident looking for a pizzeria in Valley Stream, great Yelp rating and just happened to be only a few blocks away. Shared plain, sicilian and meatball/pepper slices. Plain was perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. Sicilian was soft and doughy but still moist. Meatball and pepper was my fave, they take the meatballs straight out of the sauce they're made in, chop 'em up and add to the pizza with a little extra cheese. All were good, which is rare for the first time I try a new pizza place. Also got a pinwheel but it was pretty standard cheese and spinach, saving that for home to dip in some sauce at a later time. read more

Been going to this place since middle school back in the 90s and although I moved out of NY years ago, Eddies is a MUST every time I visit home. The secret is in the sauce. I don't even like tomato sauce, but I could drink that stuff by the bucketful. I've never in my life tasted tomato sauce so delicious. I hope Eddie gives out that secret recipe before he retires.
