Food was great! Big portions and it fills you up. Service was quick too! Only issue was how insanely loud it was in there. Maybe it's because it was a Friday evening? You have to shout at the people at your table to talk to them.

I came here for the first time, and I have to say when I got here, it was packed, but it began to die down after 7. They are part of Katy Trail Ice House. I must say the food is Tex-Mex, and it was pretty good--not bad at all, just what I expected from a Tex-Mex place. It is small width-wise but long, so there are plenty of seats. They do have a hostess, and it seems that on weekend nights it gets packed. I really love the vibe; it feels like a nice neighborhood bar with locals, and it's easy to chat with people. The bartender, 'Reed," is a great guy, full of energy--love it. I had the Brazos plate, which came with beef, chicken, and cheese enchiladas, along with a beef taco. Everything was delicious. I ate all that and forgot to take a picture. Overall, I had a wonderful first experience and will be coming back. They have happy hour Monday through Thursday, from 3 to 6.

What do you do when the wife wants fajitas on a Friday night? You find fajitas! The first restaurant we went to had over an hour wait, so we made ourselves down the road a little bit and found a different place. It was a place we had not been to in years, so it was a welcomed return to what was once a familiar haunt. It is a bit overwhelming when you walk in Bandito's...it is REALLY loud. Other than at times it was almost deafening, there is a great energy in the place. Also unique about this place is that the shape of the restaurant is not a big square like most places. It is a long shotgun style place. They were busy, but we were seated immediately. Our server, Billy, was with us momentarily. He did a good job during our whole time there. We ordered an appetizer of Queso with meat, and it was amazing! I ordered the Nueces, which is a crispy taco, a chicken fajita sour cream enchilada, and a cheese enchilada. It was a lot of food, but everything was delicious! My wife ordered the chicken fajitas and she really enjoyed them as well. She could not begin. The entire order. Overall, our experience here was very good. We would definitely come back here and eat again. Review #2088

You're typical Tex-Mex restaurant. The location is rad, and their space is really cool. I came in after the lunch crowd and it was not too busy. The waiter was pleasant enough. I ordered their beef fajita burrito. It was just Ok...way too much cold cheese inside. The beans were fine but the rice was cold and gummy. The salsa with chips was bland. The food came out really really quick, which begs the question of how fresh is everything? One and done!

Good casual mexican restaurant! So many options and everything is great! I got the chicken fajita tacos and they were 10/10... very big portions though. Overall, great food and service.

Food was great! Drinks were strong. Servers and staff was friendly as well. Would definitely recommend for dinner or lunch.

From Chicago and I wasn't planning to review Bandito's since it was mostly unremarkable, but there was one thing worth writing about... We had chips and salsa to get warmed up and the chips were ok, nothing special. My son had the enchiladas and ate every last drop. My wife got the flautas and didn't love them. So, overall good, but nothing noteworthy. Then I tried the brisket tacos--wow! The meat is really, really good in Texas : ) I don't normally think Mexican food and good meat go together, but the brisket tacos were outstanding. Definitely worth a try. The place was packed all night.

This place is a little smaller so usually there is a wait. With it being small, it's super loud inside unless you sit at the back 3 tables past the kitchen. Their water must be tap because it taste like dirt. The chips and salsa were good but I've had better queso. I ordered the brisket tacos on flour tortilla and they were good. I'd order them again. They were less greasy on flour than corn.

Large portions for the guacamole and delicious!

Great service and locations. Feels like cheers where everyone knows you name :) great portions sizes easy to share. Good margaritas and fun bar!

Sat at the bar and had quick service. The front by the bar got packed quickly so was a bit tight. Skinny marg was okay - not sure it was fresh lime juice. Food was tasty but nothing too special, expect the classic Tex mex and you'll be fine. Large portions.

I can tell the salsa is always homemade and it's really good. Fajitas are also really good. It can get really loud inside.

A few important notes though: this place is SUPER loud, especially upstairs, so if you are trying to take your older parents somewhere for a nice dinner where you can actually catch up and have a conversation, this might not be the spot. Also, avoid the upstairs dining room if anyone has mobility issues. The stairs are a little sketchy in that dark space because you basically have to TRUST there is another stair step in front of you even though you can't see it. And a heads up, do not wander into the wrong bathroom upstairs like my husband did because the "men's" and "ladies" signs upstairs are also nearly impossible to read in the dark! But honestly, those are really my only complaints... The service and food were both very good. We had a couple of ordering fumbles. We got the regular queso, and then immediately watched another table get the tableside flaming queso and we were seriously bummed. Like, really bummed. That is definitely what I will be ordering next time. The chips and smoky salsa were excellent!! - and I always appreciate when everyone gets their own little portion of salsa so everyone can double dip without feeling like a heathen. I ordered the wagyu fajitas (the half portion), and it was still easily enough food for two people. I will say the meat was more like a filet mignon texture and less like the flavorful fajita meat I was expecting. My friend's pork fajitas were actually much better and had more flavor. When the manager stopped by to check on us, I had to announce my own birthday because apparently my friends were not going to help me out with that (some friends, huh?). They brought out a complimentary sopapilla cheesecake with a candle, which was a very nice touch. All in all, I loved the place and totally understand the hype. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. There is valet parking, but we found easy parking across the street. I cannot wait to come back and try that flaming queso!

God bless the people who came up with Las Palmas…read more First of all, please never change the queso- it is heaven sent and we always take it to-go (I'm NEVER leaving the rest behind) and it tastes even better the next day. This queso is probably the best I've ever had. BTW it is a LIL spicy but I can let that slide. Another great appetizer option would be the Nachos Al Carbon with wagyu. Super good too & honestly you can even order it for just one person as a main dish-- the serving size is big enough. BUT THE REAL STAR OF THE SHOW AT LAS PALMAS ARE THE WAGYU FAJITAS!!! Incredible. Comes with flour or corn tortillas, beans, rice, and obviously the works: sour cream, guacamole, lettuce. You know the vibes. Speaking of vibes, they're always there at Las Palmas. It is always busy but I genuinely don't care and never mind waiting an hour and a half for our table. It's worth it. This place is a confirmed staple in Dallas. Probably come here once a month if not more often. Thank you for great food and good service too- that's hard to come by nowadays. TRY THIS PLACE OUT! This is your sign!

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. It was glorious and bountiful--there was ample dressing, cheese, and other ingredients I'm forgetting that made it unique. Unfortunately, during our second visit, the Caesar salad was significantly different. I think they used the same dressing, but there was very little of it. There was nearly no cheese and the other ingredients were similarly sparse. It was still good, but it in no way was the greatest I'd ever tried. I hope that this was a 1-off experience, as it truly was the best. I will report back next time. Service was great both times- they were very careful about my Cilantro request (none) and even though they gladly prepared dishes without it, they also made a list of things that already had none by default. Salmon ceviche, Pork al pastor, Carne asada, and the machete were also very good. The machete is a specialty- it had the house made masa and fillings can vary.
