My partner and I decided to go here for the first time in February and have been ordering sushi take-out every so often. I was skeptical about this place at first thinking it was just going to be some over-hyped and white-bougie sushi restaurant -- given the restaurant location -- but we're pretty loyal now! CONS: The "hot stone steak" was sort of gimmicky and the smoke felt like a nuisance to our neighboring guests. The quality of the steak was also a l r i g h t -- if you're going to get it, the mashed cauliflower is unforgettable and probably saving grace to the steak. (Shoutout to the waiter who did us a solid and recommend the cauliflower over the taters) PROS: You can trust that the sushi here is good. The quality of fish is A+ and everything has always been delicious. Here are some top memorable top contenders: - Spicy Tuna Roll: most restaurants use mayo to mask the leftover tuna parts in a roll to the point where it's all mushy and unpleasant to eat, but theirs are one of the best spicy tuna rolls i've had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. - Yellowtail Scallion Roll: I like my hamachi thicccc in my rolls - Any nigiri sushi or sashmi, really. They've even got uni and ebi (doesn't smell or taste fishy). It's all so fresh and good. This place does the grilled Aburi scallop well. - 2 Maki Lunch Combo for $10 is the best. It comes with either their salad or really good miso soup. Their miso soup has mushrooms which is a nice touch. - Summer Truffle Roll has real truffle. It would be better without the yuzu dressing (it overpowers the truffle) but nonetheless sooooo good. We enjoyed our experience here last night on the patio. The server was wonderful and super attentive. Better service than what we've experienced in the past. I loved the miso soup and added Sriracha for a little spice. We got the big daddy roll which was decent but I loved the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. So tasty and loved the textures! We also got shrimp Shumai but I prefer the gyoza more. Also liked the Cucumber salad. Would come back just for the crispy rice dish! read more

Great Sushi every single time. One of the items that you have to try is Fatty Salmon Nigiri. Truly a perfection with silky metallic taste, almost melts in your mouth. Next is their specialty rolls, there are hot ones, cold and tempura ones and none ever disappoints. Unlike many other places, they give extra care to fish versus rice ratio and generic rolls are in perfect 98 degree temperature. Rolls are so good here that it never gave me the opportunity to try hot-stone plates. The place is fairly small with large patio and reservation is really important. Staff are amazingly nice and very knowledgeable of all items on the menu and you can always ask for chef picks. They have 2 size boats which could serve party of 2 to 4. Bottom line, I haven't tried any other place since I discovered Edo Higan. read more

Chicken Katsu and Sushi! It was a pretty delicious meal. I was a bit annoyed with the waiter as they apparently forgot I ordered sushi and I saw it sitting on the counter ready for 15+ minutes while I wait for my chicken katsu. I had to remind them about it. Regardless, the food was good. I am intending to return again to try out other items. First time eating sushi. I tried all the different types of fish and I was very impressed with the flavors and freshness, and there was nothing at this restaurant I did not love. This was so good. I will be coming back again. I recommend Edo Higan to anyone that wants to try sushi for the first time, or to anyone that is a sushi lover. Fast service, Friendly people. Very interesting way to dish out beef or chicken on a hot stone plate. This will make a fun dinner experience to say the least. The chicken strips on the hot stone cooks in front of you and the presentation is so beautiful. Pick the spicy garlic sauce it has a nutty flavor. Also ordered the salmon roll as an appetizer which was crunchy and flavorful. The calamari appetizer is tender with crispy coating. Excellent and helpful staff during our dinner. read more

We had ordered take out from here probably 10 times during COVID lockdown and it was always great. We would usually get rolls plus shrimp tempura for our 3 year old. The rolls are good amount of fish and fresh. Last Saturday we ate outside on the patio and had a great meal. Just had lunch here with my sister and I have to say, I was highly surprised at how fresh the fish all was. It's not Matsuhisa, Sushi Den or Uchi, but for being in the burbs and p I can always tell if a place has good stuff when the Uni is the right color and the taste is buttery. It was delicious! From the premium yellowtail to the toro... even the shrimp heads that came out with the amaebi was yummy. I will have to come back for omakase, just to compare to all the other top sushi joints. Also, the hot stone japanese bbq~ I didn't know they had this until I ordered all our sushi, but I will be back to try that also. Service was great and the decor was beautiful with the high ceilings. Best sushi in Colorado! I only just recently moved from LA where the quality of sushi tends to be better because of its close proximity to the ocean. I would say definitely a pretty good sushi spot. Only thing we grabbed today was the shrimp and vegetable tempura and a rainbow Roll. The fish was fresh and beautifully presented. Loved the hot green tea, which was Matcha Iri Genmai. All the food we ordered was first rate: spicy crispy tuna, big eye tuna with avocado, tuna and salmon nigiri, prawn tempura roll. The ambience was a little odd, especially the industrial looking tin walls up high, but I think this location was another restaurant in its previous life. We were impressed with the micro greens served as edible decorations and loved the most unusual Japanese bayberry. Service was pleasant. Kudos to Edo Higan. read more

This is by far and away, the best sushi place we've been to in a very long time! The service was absolutely phenomenal. The sushi...AMAZING! The ingredients allowed for the taste of the fish to be accentuated, not covered up. So excited to find a new sushi restaurant close to home! Love the ambience, very warm and cozy, good lighting. There were so many great rolls on the menu so we asked our server for recommendations and went with the top 3 for the 3 of us. Started with Dynomite (gotta always have this!), and tried the Spicy Bincho roll, Nee Style Salmon roll, and Reed roll, along with some nigiri.
