It would have been helpful to point out the drink menu or give a recommendation versus demanding to know what we wanted. The interior is noisy and covered in carpet. Over half of our orders came out wrong- wrong protein on the wrong plate with wrong side. And to top it all off, did the kitchen lose their seasoning rack? Nothing was seasoned. The steaks were a poor cut, overcooked, the poor vegetables looked like they were boiled and thrown in a serving bowl, and the baked potatoes were either straight up plain or obviously sitting under a heat lamp because the cheese was dried. I envisioned the kitchen cooking in silo, throwing their portions on a plate with no consideration of the whole meal. It's giving cafeteria food. When we go out, we measure quality by evaluating whether we could cook it as well at home. This failed by a significant margin. I'd love to support local restaurants but at this price point and lack of quality, we'll try elsewhere, anywhere but here.

And it didn't taste either very gin-like, though Maceo had ordered top shelf, nor very tonic-y. One of the worst g&ts we've ever had. And expensive. I ordered the Ten Burger, which included mushrooms and onions. I asked for the burger to be cooked medium rare. Maceo ordered the Philly Steak. It took a very long time for our meals to come out. The place was nearly empty, only two other tables of patrons, but we waited and waited and waited. When the food finally appeared, it was room temperature/cold, as if it had sat waiting for a long while before being taken to the table. The Philly Steak was cold. And not only cold, but in sitting it had lost its juices, so the entire sandwich was dry. The steak itself was cooked nicely, and was tender. The sandwich probably would have been tasty had it been served while still piping hot. Though I had ordered my burger medium rare, it came out very well done. Exceedingly well done. Thoroughly gray nothingness. And the fries were cold. With tip we ended up spending $105 on this meal. We feel very silly. And we also feel sad, because we were hoping that Steakhouse 10 would be an excellent place that would become our new regular spot when visiting Englewood.

The food at Edo Higan was disappointing, though I admit I'm very particular about sushi. The sashimi slices were cut so thick that they were hard to chew and enjoy. The flavors of the dishes we ordered were bland overall--nothing stood out or impressed us. The only positive thing I was say was the spicy tuna crispy rice had good ratio of tuna to rice was equal. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. When I brought up the overly thick salmon nigiri, the server dismissed it, saying, "That's how it's supposed to be," which I assume applies to the restaurant's style, not sushi in general. The ambiance was nice, clean, and dark--definitely a cute spot for a date night. However, the restaurant wasn't very busy, and honestly, I can see why. To top it off, I realized I left a receipt I needed behind after we left. When I called just 10 minutes later (at 8:40 PM), I was told they wouldn't look for it because the kitchen and cleaning were already closed, even though their listed closing time is 9 PM. Overall, the ambiance was the only redeeming factor, but the food and service were underwhelming. I wouldn't rush back. read more

My husband and I just came home from lunch at a brand new (one week open) sushi restaurant in Park Meadows. It is called Edo Higan Sushi & Stone and is located in the Vistas between Yard House and Brio. OH MY GOODNESS! What a wonderful place! The owner, Eddie, is also the head sushi chef. My husband is a sushi fanatic and he couldn't stop swooning about every dish. I had the Miso Black Cod appetizer and it was the best I have ever had! (My husband even admitted that it was better than he makes and his is pretty darn good)! The quality of everything is outstanding. The service is wonderful. Everyone was so accommodating and gracious. Eddie couldn't have been more charming and anxious to please. I would love to see this place succeed so if you are in the area, please try it out! P.S. They also have a Black Rock Grill where they bring out a blazing hot rock for you to cook your food on. I didn't try this but it seems quite unique. You won't be disappointed!! read more

Ate there once as dine-in a few weeks ago, and have twice done pickup during the Covid-19 crisis. Each time the sushi was amazing. I'd always thought Sushi Den up on Pearl Street was the Denver-area benchmark, but I think this might rival or even be better. Plus it's much closer to home. The takeout was packaged well, with each roll and it's associated sauce marked for reference. New Style Salmon, Vegas, Big Daddy, and Reed Rolls are all excellent premium rolls, but even their standard Cali, Philly, and Salmon Nigiri is excellent as well. Suggest you order online via Yelp/Doordash, and pay online (and leave a generous tip, even for takeout!). Then just go and pickup from their front desk area. Very happy to support local businesses like this during these tough times for restaurants. I sure hope they thrive after this is all over. read more

This is a new GEM of a restaurant in the Park Meadows Mall Restaurant area between Brio and the Yard House. The sushi chefs are incredibly talented and creative. They are responsive to your dietary needs (gluten free, etc) and strive to make your dining experience fantastic. Every piece of fish we ate was fresh, tender and delicious. Sauces (when used) and presentation are all created in house by Eddy. He is hard working and diligent and will craft your dinner like an artist! Try the experience of the smoked fish, presented under glass and smoked at the sushi station. Went here for lunch with my family and it was a horrible experience. We had a reservation for lunch and it was completely empty, not a single person at this establishment, should have been a warning sign. The sushi seemed old and was nothing special at all. Even the cups smelled dirty, so we avoided the water. Several hours later myself and my siblings all began throwing up and feel absolutely horrible. As someone who eats sushi regularly, I understand the difference in flavor profiles between fish -- this tasted more like it may have been on its way out. Now I know what mangoes are and I knew what I was getting, so I can't really blame the restaurant for the fact that I guess I've learned I'm not a big fan of sushi rolls with fruit on them. It was well made for what it was, just not my particular favorite. The miso soup was lovely. The restaurant was nice and clean and as I have said, the service was impeccable, friendly, really everything you would want. Which is all the more reason I was disappointed that the food did not ring a bell with me. The kitchen or possibly the lady who got my order made a mistake by giving me the miso soup instead of salad (miso soup or salad comes with the Sashimi Dinner ($32.00 as of mid-August of 2025). I clearly and loudly said I wanted the salad but in her mind, the salad became the miso soup (LOL). Although I don't think it was intentional, mistake is a mistake. A bit disappointed....Well, you wanna know how the miso soup tasted? It was decent! Food - What I got tonight are/were...1) Sashimi Dinner, Edamame ($6.00) and, 3) Side White Rice ($3) and I think in this kind of economy, these prices are fairly in range. Let me rate each one. Sashimi Dinner - It was okay-ish. It didn't impress me. I really don't have anything more to say about this sashimi plate. Edamame - Good and yet they didn't sprinkle any salt (I don't think). Maybe they knew I hate salt (LOL!!) Well, in many cases, I dislike salty dishes so to be considerate of people who dislike salty stuff, this is what the restaurant does by not sprinkle any salt over steamed edamame (so in other words, "salt it yourself" type situation?) I guess this isn't a bad thing after all. White Rice - Meh. It tasted like hand lotion a little bit. I have an experience with this and that is why I am very sensitive to it (unfortunately, it was my own mother who used hand lotion before she prepared food/meals for me and my brother so some food she cooked/prepared for us tasted just like hand lotion.) I can have a benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't be so insensitive by handling food with lotioned-up hands. Or maybe it's the kind of rice they buy. Whatever the case may be, this rice was no no for me. Yes, there are a few things I can talk about this restaurant in a positive way but all in all, it was a disappointing experience. Will I go back? Maybe not.

Honestly, I could've made a meal out of those alone. The combination of fish, mango, avocado, sauces, and crispy wonton chips just worked. We also ordered gyoza, beef pad thai, a Hawaiian Dragon Roll, sashimi ceviche, and tonkotsu ramen. Everyone at the table had a different favorite, which is usually a pretty good sign. The service was also genuinely friendly, which always makes a difference. Definitely a place I'd come back to when I'm craving a little bit of everything.
