I'll start with the positive: cute ambiance and very friendly customer service. Love the packaging and vibe of the restaurant. Cons: got two breakfast burritos, the one with brisket and the one called the Javier. For about $15/each I was shocked when I unwrapped them and they were so tiny. I get it, food costs are up, everything is more expensive, etc, but for $15 their rent must be high or they're getting gouged on ingredients. The eggs in the burrito were a little bland, the sauces were fine, the exterior of the tortilla on the brisket one was oily and soggy even though I ate it right after they made it. It was described on the menu and having spice to it, not a single bite was spicy or had any heat. I like spicy food but not extremely spicy, just a nice bit of heat to kick up the flavor. There was zero heat, it was actually really sweet, I think it was something the bacon was heavily coated in. The brisket itself was ok, not a lot of depth of flavor or anything to be remembered. Maybe I picked the wrong items and I should have tried something else, but for over $30 after tax I was incredibly underwhelmed. Nothing we ate was memorable enough that it would make me think of them when I'm debating where to go for a quick breakfast. Overall: the name was cute, the branding was cute, fun environment, nice employees, but the food was overpriced and deeply underwhelming and forgettable. I passed a habaneros on the way, I should have just stopped and got their breakfast burrito for around half the price and a much larger size. read more

Take this with a grain of salt as I'm not a local and have only been here once, but based on my experience today, I wouldn't come back. There must've been some issues going on today in the kitchen. We decided to come here based on the good reviews and location off of the strip. The inside was full of people waiting and no one had food. We waited over 20 minutes for our coffees (a cold brew and an iced latte) and over 30 minutes for our food. It was very busy, but the wait time was ridiculous. When we finally received our food, my eggs were cold. I was hoping that after waiting for so long that the food would arrive hot. My friend ordered a burrito with no salsa and the cashier confirmed no salsa, but he ended up receiving a burrito with no egg. It was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The other two people with us did enjoy their burritos (the mamas and the Nashville hot chicken). It seems like a lot of locals come here and like it, but we had a bad experience. If you're visiting Las Vegas, I wouldn't spend the time driving over here to wait for 30 minutes for mediocre food. read more

I went to Effin Egg for breakfast this morning and... wow. Life-changing is not an exaggeration. The breakfast burrito wasn't just food -- it was an awakening. I left feeling like a better version of myself, somehow lighter and more pleasant to be around (just ask anyone who's crossed my path since). But then... the cinnamon roll. My goodness. That wasn't just a sweet treat -- it was a spiritual moment. One bite and I swear I saw the face of God... and that face looked exactly like Alanis Morissette. Warm, gooey, soft, and swirled to perfection -- a Princess Leia bun of pure bliss. Beyond the incredible food, this place just feels good to support: locally owned, woman-owned, veteran-owned, and they take care of first responders and teachers. The staff is amazing -- friendly, welcoming, and clearly love what they're doing. Effin Egg is exactly the kind of place every neighborhood needs -- a true tentpole of the community. This was such an amazing breakfast and experience. I walked in and was greeted by Heidi. She is so kind and inviting and manages the effin restaurant with ease. I started off with the Breakfast Burger. It was egg-celent! The interior is really fun with exciting Easter eggs if you can spot them. There is seating for about 21 people. Next I tried the OG Breakfast Sandwich. I was recommended to try the Sticky Cinnamon Buns and Housemade Italian Cream Soda. These were insanely good. I will get these every time I come back! I ordered food to take home and tried tots with different sauces. The sauces are great which is always important to me. I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake waffle, Nashville Hot Chicken Breakfast Burrito, Javier's Burrito, Hangover Burrito and the Spicy BBQ Brisket Burrito. Everything was good. My kids loved the waffles. The Hangover Burrito was more spicy than everything else I tried. If I have to recommend a breakfast spot, it's going to be this one. read more

It was giving McDonalds with a high price tag vibes... Another overhyped place on social media! I was super excited to try this new spot out because everyone's posts on socials made it seem like it was going to be the best new breakfast spot in town. Unfortunately the food was mid at best. I got the Jax's Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich ($10.29) and the Maple Bacon Donut Balls ($6.99). The sandwich tasted good but it was equivalent to a McDonalds quality sandwich, and the donut balls were extremely fried and very hard. My friend got the Rainbow Pancakes ($9.59) and they were essentially very low grade, flat, plain pancakes with a very small drizzle of icing and sprinkles. Overall, the food was a 4/10 and overpriced for what you get in terms of quality and small portion size. Additionally, the vibe was so bad. The restaurant is very small and the workers were nice but didn't make people feel overly welcome as I feel a new place should. Also, it took 20+ minutes to get our food and the place was by no means packed full of people. To conclude, if you really like to try the social media spots then you might as well go but I personally would never return. If you want a high quality local breakfast spot with huge portions, great quality, and good vibes go to the Bagel Nook at DT Summerlin! Cheers! read more
