    bacado omelette
    Rachel W.

Stopped by around 11:30 for brunch on Saturday, there was no wait. I ordered the Bacado omelette ($15.5) and the Cinnamon roll french toast ($13). The food was not as good as I remember it being when I used to come here. The best thing I ate was the harbor potatoes, which came with the omelette. The omelette itself was a bit too cheesy, and the texture of the egg was not great. But overall, still fine. Definitely heavy on the bacon flavor, so if you are a big bacon fan, I would recommend. The cinnamon roll french toast looked awful and unappetizing. It also didn't taste amazing, it didn't come with any syrup and was a bit dry. It was quite disappointing. Would not recommend ordering this. The waiter also was super friendly but very impatient and rushed us several times, left us the check when we were barely halfway through our meal. Giving it a 3 because it is a cute and vibrant place, and I've had better experiences in the past. Hoping this time was just an off day. I probably would only come here for the nostalgia factor moving forward.

Egg Harbor is located in downtown Hinsdale in the old movie theater building. They offer a great variety of breakfast and lunch options. My tip is to park in the parking garage.

Great service. Very friendly and attentive. Clean and easy to find. Parking on street was easy. Lots of seating. With wifi Many menu options but not overwhelming. Eggs, bene, scrambles. Griddle options from great pancakes to waffles and French toast. Had the cozy scramble with bacon, Brie, and onions. And a side of pumpkin pancakes. Tasteee Have to come back. The pancakes were great and the scramble really good. The menu is fantastic but the service was even better. For a family owned biz with multiple locations I'm sold!!!

I've been in this downtown Hinsdale location twice, and on both times, the service was disappointing. It was either we were missing an order (toast, potatoes, butter) or we were given the wrong dish. The place was spacious and clean. The staff members were friendly and welcoming. I've tried: STRAWBERRY CRUNCH FRENCH TOAST- delicious EVERYDAY I'm BRUSSELIN'- I liked this dish a lot. The cauliflower rice went well with the shaved brussel sprouts and the fried eggs on tol. SHAKSHUKA- it was ok BERRY OATMEAL- fresh berries and old fashioned oatmeal. Satisfying. PANCAKES- they were dry and overcooked. Overall, everything that I've had here was good. I liked that they have more options for drinks besides regular coffee. Their oat milk latte was delicious. Hopefully the service gets better though.

Classic American cafe with lots of options! They are always busy so make reservations ahead of time if you can. Random detail but the coffee cups are cute and it's bottomless drip coffee!

Went in for a quick breakfast with my parents. Our waiter was so kind and helpful when explaining the menu. I ordered the cinnamon roll french toast, chicken sausage patties and a brown sugar vanilla harborccino. Starting with the drink, I wasn't impressed at all and could have done without it. The french toast had good flavor but had too much icing on top, no need for syrup at all. The chicken sausage was probably my favorite part of the meal and was cooked perfectly. Overall, not bad for the price and I would return to try some different items! They have an extensive menu.

I don't give out many fives but I think - based on my last experience - that this place deserved it. I've been to other Egg Harbor locations before but not in some time. I used to order the Cassie's Crepes until they changed the way they cooked the crepes. This time I tried the Lobster scramble and it was excellent - creamy goodness! I would also recommend the strawberry orange juice. Hubbie ordered the ultimate skillet and enjoyed it as well. The 5 stars is also attributed to the wonderful customer service we experienced. Angel was such a sweet guy. He was friendly and professional... Never crossing that line of "too much". I also liked that we were greeted early upon arrival by the host and acknowledged when we left with a goodbye from someone who I assumed was the manager. Keep it up, Egg Harbor. We will be back! Other: - first impression upon entry- spacious - located downtown so good luck with parking

    Santorini scrambler (seasonal menu)
    Karen L.

Really great service and solid breakfast food for this block. Nice atmosphere too. I enjoyed their strawberry orange juice, which was a nice balance between the fruits while not being too sweet. I also ordered their seasonal special, the Santorini scrambler (you can check out their menu online for the latest specials). It was definitely a filling plate for me while not being heavy to eat through at all. The scrambler was an interesting approach to the scrambler with the feta cheese. The english muffin was baked perfectly and paired nicely with the jam.

We ordered everything off the speciality menus. Amazing quality of food. And drinks! My bloody marry was spicy !!! So so so so good. Just how I like it with tons of garnish They had an Indian/middle eastern style dish that was to die for. Tomato, cilantro, goat cheese and chorrizo. You scoop it up with a biscuit and it was just so flavorful. That dish really took first place. The red velvet pancakes didn't need syrup and the cream cheese wasn't over powering on sweetness.

English muffin w/jam, side of applewood bacon ($4), and DELICIOUS habanero hash ($11, w/poached eggs)

The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. Service was great but I was puzzled that they changed utensils after each course but failed to scrape away the breadcrumbs on the tablecloth. Standouts were the main dishes: the halibut worked super well with the grapes in the sauce (what an unexpected surprise!) and trout amandine was very good as well (wished the skin was crispier though). For two girls, we ordered 2 apps, 1 salad, 2 entrees and shared a dessert and it was just right. We didn't feel like the meal was overly heavy or over salted, which is such a nice departure from our experiences of late. One piece of feedback is to perhaps warm the seasonal apple tart. This spot is marketed as a "neighborhood steakhouse" ended up feeling more like "modern american faire" to me. The menu offers a variety of meat cuts, seafood, salads, handheld items, elevated apps and more. The inside feels like a sophisticated bistro with a cozy atmosphere. For drinks, we started with the Bee's Knees & Smoked Apple Butter Old Fashioned. The Bee's Knees was perfectly balanced and flavors played well off each other. The Smoked Apple Butter Old Fashioned utilizes one of his "jam session" products which was fun. The flavor was a bit more spiced than I was expecting and could have used a bit more of a spirit punch. For appetizers, we started with the Toasted Ravioli and Crab Cakes. The portions were smaller but the flavors were fresh. Hearing Chef Paul Virant is from St. Louis, connected some of the fun options like Toasted Ravioli. The insides had the perfect meat to cheese ratio and the red sauce was nice. The Crab Cakes tastes fresh and I loved the sauce on top with it. After apps, we decided to share the Vistro Burger. This burger is rated the best burger in the Western Suburbs and I now understand why. Burger, Caramelized Onions, Bacon, Pimento Cheese, and a soft bun is put together and burst with flavor. The burger was a bit messy but just made me want to enjoy it more. Our server was nice to split the entree into two portions for us. For dessert, we ordered the St Louis Gooey Butter Cake which was phenomenal! We also got the Mexican Chocolate drink to share which was the perfect nightcap. We were also celebrating a special event so complimentary champagne & a blondie dessert were given to us. Overall, there are some great pieces to Vistro Prime. The burger has a reputation for a reason and is well worth a trip to try. Some appetizer & drink portions were a bit small for the price point but flavors were good.
