The egg bread is so unique, if you haven't tried it I highly recommend. Pro tip: get a flight and share with friends because they are so filling! Don't sleep on the sweet corn and cheese. The egg bread isn't the only star here, however. The egg salad sandwiches are all to die for. You can't go wrong with the regular, but they have a variation to suit every craving. I'm a fan. Food - I got the corn and cheese bread. The bread is very soft, I wonder if its steamed? It kind of has that fluffy texture. It was a little dry at first, although once I got to the egg part in the middle, it was much better. Either the bread needs a sauce or a spread, but because the bread is so thick and fluffy, it comes off kind of dry. Egg Squared is a cozy Korean breakfast and brunch spot which I'd consider a little out of the way, but easy to walk towards. I saw their opening on social media but was never nearby in the area until now! It's a clean and cozy space, not a ton of seating but enough for small crowds. Wifi available, washroom (restroom for searchability) available, and not loud. Egg bread is a specialty here, the corn cheese is the most popular, so they prepare a lot of them. Unfortunately, the others sell out by midday, so come early if interested in the egg bread. We all snagged a different egg sandwich because most egg breads were out. Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich - while similar to the popular Japanese tamago sandos, nothing in the states quite hit the same. These had a nice, slightly toasted foundation while still being fluffy. Lettuce and cheese sit above each side, serving as a nice barricade for the toast, preventing them from getting soggy. Teriyaki chicken was basic, but nice to have some protein. Lastly, the egg salad was the star of the show, however it's consolidated in the center, so side bites tend to lack that strong. Blueberry Matcha Latte - a pretty solid matcha! A little sweet, not sure if they adjust sugar, but the matcha was smooth and creamy so I believe they whisk at a good, warm temperature and not too hot. Blueberry jam at the bottom is sweet and flavorful, with bits of blueberry skin present. However, after mixing, the blueberry wasn't as evident outside of the skin itself. I stopped by Egg Squared a bit before close and they were gracious enough to serve me a full meal. Service was extremely friendly and fast. I got a blueberry matcha and a sriracha chicken egg sandwich. The matcha was so good. Great balance of sweetness and matcha flavor, with a fresh blueberry syrup. There were even dried blueberry chunks and it was so good, wish I got a bigger size! The sriracha chicken egg sandwich was DELICIOUS! It tastes like a homemade sriracha sauce, garlicky sweet on top of tender chicken, peppery arugula, soft milk bread, and a melt-in-your mouth egg salad mix. The flavor combo was top tier. The minute I tried it, I knew I'd become a regular. This is the perfect type of meal to bring on a picnic or enjoy outside. The overall vibe of Egg Squared is very nice to look at and also comfortable. Sitting by the window, there were cushions and while the weather wasn't the best today I can imagine it gets a lot of sunshine on brighter days, lighting up the whole cafe, which adds a whole vibe. There were a lot of seats and tables available and everywhere is decorated so nicely! I love all their tiny details. Their food was very good and flavorful! The egg bread was interesting I didn't expect a whole egg to be in the inside, it was very soft and not dense at all. I'm not the biggest fan of egg but I really enjoyed all their dishes. I especially liked the matcha, blueberry matchas I've tried usually don't really taste like blueberry but I could taste it a lot in this drink! My friend and I wanted to try this place since the reviews looked so good. I think we ordered the wrong things honestly. I don't want to write this place off just yet. The sriracha chicken sandwich was one dimensional, the chicken was cold and lacked flavor (soooo sad), I just felt like it was not worth it (price and calories). The matcha strawberry foam did not look like the menu photos- there was barely any strawberry foam... the drink itself wasn't bad though, just was a little disappointed. My friend said if he comes back he wouldn't get the peanut cream latte again (I didn't try it so not sure why). Found this place looking for coffee places and breakfast that's not just the usual pastries and such. So glad we went! The lattes were sooo good, flavorful, sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. But the real reason that I was intrigued was the egg bread. I love me some corn cheese...and corn cheese for breakfast? Yes please! The asst. manager (didn't get his name) was super nice and helpful. We ended up getting 3 egg bread (bulgogi, corn cheese and bacon cheese) all fantastic choices. The cafe was clean and welcoming without being pretentious. Seeing the manager interact with everyone that came in the place, really showed how much he likes his job and the company he works for and you don't see that often. Came here with a friend between events. If I knew how good this place was when I went by on the bus I would've came here instead of standing in line up the hill in the morning forever for a latte. My friend had been here before and loved their egg breads. We had seen a couple of friends at a Lunar New Year celebration near by that went that morning and raved about the caffeine free sweet potato latte. My friend had an egg bread and the sweet potato latte which I had a sip of the latte was delicious tastes just like a sweet potato not artificial or too sweet. My friend said he had seen the Barista Tim preparing the sweet potato puree. I had a hojicha latte and the egg sandwich. The egg sandwich was delicious has a little bit of strawberry jam spread on one side sounds unusual but really added to the overall flavor of the sandwich. Hojicha latte was good always a comforting beverage to me. The space is bright and welcoming definitely plays on the egg theme in color. Some tables and a little seating area with a couple of chairs a more lounge feel which is where we sat. We chatted with Tim a bit about coffee and the neighborhood definitely enjoyed our conversation with him, and would come back when I'm in the neighborhood. read more

Recently, Seattle's been going through a huge matcha boom with a bunch of new interesting cafes popping up. This one is unique with their Korean street food inspired egg breads which I haven't seen anywhere else in Seattle. The matcha here was really nice. It didn't have much bitterness or earthiness and was more on the grassy and floral side. I got the blueberry matcha latte and the light sweetness of the homemade blueberry syrup complemented the matcha really well. I also really enjoyed the lemon salmon sandwich. It was packed full of cured salmon and was really flavorful. The price was very reasonable at about $12, so I think this would be nice to have a protein filled snack instead of a pastry or something you'd get at a different cafe. I really wanted to like the egg breads but I don't think they're for me. It was like an unseasoned boiled egg wrapped in a lightly sweetened sponge cake. On its own it was a bit bland so I liked the ones with stronger toppings like the bulgogi and triple cheese, but I still think the sandwiches were better. read more

I came here with family on a Monday around 12:30pm, and man that is a rough time to come here! Parking around Central District always sucks, but we found one almost next to here. This small cafe is cozy yet casual with very limited dine-in seating, a mirror display on the left-hand side and a nice kitchen area; it's so minimalistic that it's aesthetically pleasing. They're most known for their Korean-inspired egg sandwiches, something I've seen in several other Korean restaurants but not specializing in them like this place. My sis wanted to try their three-set egg bread but when we got there, only one was remaining. Server let us know it's best to get egg breads before 11am when they usually sell out. So for all of us, we got and shared the following: - I did not have the teriyaki chicken sandwich, but those who had it said it was really good and a little sweet. - I got their egg sandwich instead, and it looks small but is filling; they add a whole egg inside the egg salad making up the bulk of the sandwich. Toast was warm and went well with the textures of both the egg and cheese; it didn't come apart too much while I was eating. - The sweet potato latte tastes exactly like a sweet potato, only without the caffeine because it's not coffee based. This was a unique one that was a hit among all of us! - My peanut cream latte was full-on caffeine and coffee, and I loved the peanut butter-like taste of this drink. In general, any one of their sandwiches and a drink can keep you pretty full here, and prices for each are reasonable. Awesome little place! The egg bread is fantastic - it features a fresh egg baked into the center of a buttery crumb of a loaf. I had the corn and mozz bread, and it was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and the sweetness of the corn contrasted perfectly against the slight savoriness of the mozzarella. I had this for breakfast and the egg was perfectly cooked - delicious paired with coffee. They make the almond cream top in house and you can taste the difference. The almond flavor from the real ground almonds blew me away - it really captures the essence of almond (like the pit) and had a smooth, rich texture full of this natural flavor that set itself apart far and beyond other cream top places. Even though this place is known for the egg bread, the coffee is an underrated gem. I love that they're hand-making their own mixes for certain drinks, and I really hope more people support that level of craft and dedication to quality. I love this place down. This review is in regard to my second visit. The first time with Tim and Helta (sorry to botch the spelling) 10/10 experience for customer service, wait time and my latte. However this time although the customer service was okay. I am disappointed on what I paid for vs what I got. My latte was 80% ice and 20% latte. The blue berry matcha is too good to only receive that much. I didn't realize b/c I didn't start drinking it until I returned to my office. As a customer I do not like to feel cheated out of my money for product. I spent $9 and some change on this latte and it was 16oz. Please limit the ice to ensure customers are receiving what they paid for. This was extremely disappointing and dissatisfactory for me. read more

Egg squared was an interesting try. Was not what I was expecting so it threw me off a bit but still a great option for breakfast. We tried 3 different egg breads, Spring Onion and Cream Cheese, Jalapeño Bacon and Cream Cheese, and Onion Cream Cheese. Hands down Spring Onion was our favorite. It was interesting for them all as the bread is sweet, definitely breakfast vibes and then you get the Egg in the middle with the toppings to give you that savoryness. I said it was like a Korean McGriddle lol. We walked in and was promptly acknowledged by not only who was at the register but from who was in back prepping also. The place is more aimed towards ordering and take out rather than sitting and eating. Small but nice, all white so it is bright in there. Parking was a bit tricky especially since not from the area but we figured it out. Would go back to give a sando a try next time.
