I wanted to try Egg Tuck forever and was a little underwhelmed. As another Yelper mentioned, I am obsessed with the kdrama Hospital Playlist and watching various actors eat the sandwich made me realize I had to try Korean street toast. I have tried another place in Buena Park and thought the place was good, but was way over sauced, so I was hoping for better results with Egg Tuck. I know this place can get crazy busy, so I ordered online before I went. I tried to call but no one picked up. So, I ordered through Grubhub for pick up. When I went, my order was ready. Thankfully, the store was not crowded. But, when it is crowded and you ordered online, I think you can just go directly to the front, they have a shelf with all the to go orders. If you do not pre-order, they have 2 kiosks inside the store for you to order. As for the food, this is the primary reason why I am giving 3 stars. I thought it was very bland. I ordered the ham, bacon and avocado sandwiches. And, while the egg was creamy and fluffy, there was almost not sauce, so the sandwich ended up being bland. Out of the 3, I think my favorite was the bacon one (but, that's because I love bacon in my sandwich). I also ordered the egg tots and regular tots on the side. The egg tots definitely did not travel well. The egg was over cooked, so I could not make mix it in with the tots. I would say if you were going a long distance or eating the sandwich later, I would skip the egg tots. All in all, not sure I would come back here, but definitely glad I tried. For those of you that are planning on coming here, parking is awful here. There is a lot, but I believe that they do not validate (it is pretty expensive for the lot). Street parking is also a little hard to find. If you are able, I would definitely come with someone else to pick up food. All I can say is YUM. Eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and able to hold all the goodness of the sandwich. I would recommend saving the fallen eggs till the end to eat with the left over bit of brioche you will have at the end of your sammy. I heard so many good things from youtubers and other reviewers, but thought the sandwich was just decent. Okay, hear me out. The eggs are for sure delicious! But because they pile all the eggs and toppings at the very top, the bottom half is just bread. I admit, the sandwich is very Instagram worthy. But it should taste the way it looks- filled to the brim with all the egg goodness you could ever want. In reality, you're eating all the eggs first and have nothing left but dry bread for the second half. I also would not recommend the avocado sandwich. There's just not enough avocado. We got lucky with street parking. Mainly metered parking. There's no public restrooms here. Reading from reviews, this is a new location. Happy for the vegan option they have here: Just Breakfast Burrito (JUSTegg, crispy tator tots, and vegan sriracha aioli) added avocado for $2. The best with tapatio. My family got the original burrito and sandwiches, and the Royal burrito. Their seasoned fries were really good. The just Breakfast burrito hit the spot and I was surprised how big it was. Man oh man. If you love eggs, this is the place to be! I ordered the avocado egg sandwich and it was bomb! I the bread was soft and nicely buttered. The texture of the egg melts in your mouth and the amount of avocado is Devine! The only thing I would probably do is add a little salt but hey a little sodium can't hurt no one. The egg tater tots were the start of the show! They were nice and crisp and all the flavors just blended so well! I wouldn't mind the chipotle sauce on the sandwich too! Went to Egg Tuck on a Saturday around 11am. Luckily there were a couple street metered parkings right in front of the store and there wasn't a line to order. We got the original sweet egg and a supreme sandwich offered through OTM. The kitchen was busy tho- there were plenty of people waiting outside of the store for their food, plus online orders. We were told the wait would be about 25-30 min for our food, but it came out in 15, and we were able to score one of the few tables outside. These egg sandiwches were egg-cellent!!! Been wanting to try this place out since the last time we were in LA. They have similar concept like Egg Drop in Korea but don't have that much options like Egg Drop. We got the Bacon & Cheese sandwich and Avo Egg sandwich with ham added. The egg was fluffy and well cook, not too much sauced added. This review is mostly about location and my worst fear coming to reality when ordering a sandwich online. Firstly, you can't ever knock the sandwiches because they're ALL fire, starting from just the "plain" egg and cheese on up. I ordered a sandwich for pickup, like always because this location is probably in the worst location. It's perched on the corner of Wilshire and Irolo, which is at a bus stop and basically a NO STOPPING street and if you know that area, there's only parking beyond the bus stop, on one side of the street because there's a church directly across the street. I'm sure it's a food delivery person's nightmare, but it is also my nightmare because there's no quick way to hop out of car, to grab your pick up order, so I have reduced this location to being for folks who walk and work in that neighborhood. Sometimes , if I'm craving it and don't wanna drive to another location, I'll risk it all and I'll check to see if there are any buses coming and I'll jump out of my car at the bus stop and I'll run and pick up my order. Not something I'm proud of, but sometimes, my cravings take over logic. Back to the food. Every sandwich I ever had was phenomenal, BUT this last one had me dumbfounded. I hopped back in my car and then pulled over down the street to get at it and then realized they gave me the butt of the loaf of bread, on one side of my sandwich. Now normally, I wouldn't care, if I were making my own sandwich at home, but to give me "BUTT BREAD" and charge me full price is a level of restaurant IDGAF that I had no idea existed in a shop that specializes in sandwiches. After looking at the menu for a bit, I picked my order on the screen and waited for my food outside. The place is small and is ideally for take out orders. However, there are a couple of tables outside if you would like to eat it there. The Avo Egg Sandwich is eggcellent! The brioche bun is filled to the brim with soft scrambled eggs and fresh avocado. I had a breakfast date here with two girlfriends on Friday morning. Parking was nonexistent even at 9:30am but I got lucky with street parking nearby. Not very convenient since I had to run back and forth to feed the meter. We sat at one of the tables that were placed outside. Ordering food was easy - There's two kiosks up at the counter and the system was was self-explanatory so I had no issues. I got the Sweet Egg with cheddar and added on iced coffee with whole milk. It was actually pretty difficult to eat the sandwich like a sandwich... I can already see it spilling all over my hands which is a no-no during COVID so I ate everything using a fork. The scrambled eggs were deliciously fluffy and creamy with lots of flavor. Brioche bread is very filling so I wasn't able to finish all the carbs. Being another variation of the iconic egg sandwiches, Egg Tuck seemed worth it to try out. I haven't had the chance to try EggSlut, but I thought since I was visiting the area I'd dig right in.
