Great place! I had the original and the only regret was not getting two!! Delicious, fluffy, buttery, and a small kick of spice on a beautifully seasoned toasted bread. One star knocked off only because you can't eat it hot and fresh there as they don't allow you to eat it there. I was in the area so I decided to try this place out. Crazy bow a days that a machine is basically taking your order. While I was looking at the menu, there were three other people waiting for their orders. I went ahead and placed my order. While the egg itself was nicely cooked, it was super messy. I took one bit and a lot of the egg came out. The lady had given me my order (took about 10 minutes or so) and I had asked her if I could redeem my kale salad. No problem! She brought it out quickly. I was a bit disappointed that there was not more egg in there due to the brioche bun not being cut through. The kale salad was a bit bland. I would have been upset if I had paid for it. The cost it is $5. Overall, the prices are expensive for what you are actually getting. I was still hungry after I ate. My meal including tip was almost $8. Really cool concept. At first I was a bit worried from the few reviews mentioning a long wait for the sandwiches to be made, but luckily I actually didn't have to wait long for my sandwich, maybe about 10 minutes max. It's made from scratch, which I can appreciate. My friend had the avo egg, but wasn't a fan of how runny the scrambled eggs were. Might be cool if they had an option to determine how well cooked the eggs should be. I really liked my royal west sandwich though and thought the galbi meat patty was really flavorful and worked well with everything in the sandwich. The sandwich is pretty good. The soft/ almost runny Eggs and brioche were nice together. My only criticisms would be that one, I don't think you get a large enough portion of eggs for the price. I'm not a fan of the texture of the eggs though. This was my first time trying this place so I wanted the true EGG TUCK experience. First trip here and I would put the food & beverage at a solid 4-5 for food, 5 for OJ but 3 for coffee :(. The service was a let down and no more than a 2 so average out to 3- yeah did the math because I really wanted to like the place more. The sandwiches- Royal, bacon egg and the one with sriracha gochujang were all super yummy! The eggs were cooked to perfection. The OJ is also very nice. The coffee was disappointing and the service was sullen and inefficient. First they forgot to make all the beverages and then we had to go back in twice to get creamer for coffee even when we had asked them to add milk when the order was placed. Get some better coffee and train up the staff a bit and this place will be the perfect breakfast/brunch experience. read more

I finally tried this place (although the Wilshire location is the one I drive by more often). My thoughts: * the eggs are good. Not as good as Egg Slut's, but still creamy and light and flavorful * Korean beef in a breakfast burrito was a nice fusion add on * drip coffee was fantastic But * kiosk service only. Walk up service only. But it still asks you to tip. * Nowhere to sit down and eat. I watched three patrons grab their meals from the counter and then eat them in their cars in the parking lot. Even Rubios and Starbucks manage café tables on sidewalks. This was an odd lack of... ambiance? * no good place to wait for your order while they prep it. There's barely enough room for the counter kiosks. Folks were loitering outside and it was unclear who was waiting to order and who was waiting for their meal * extremely slow prep of the food itself. It was only moderately busy, but I arrived at 1013 and got my food at 1046. One burrito. Three people ahead of me from the kiosk. Another 5 waiting outside. I counter 5 people behind the counter. The food was good. But the rest of the experience was a negative. It was all the downsides of a strip mall and a food truck combined, for good food, but not so good that it overcame everything else. read more

(See photos ; The chives tho. ) Taste: Bacon & Cheese Sandwich, the scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and a little runny (See Gordon Ramsay's scrambled egg video), egg sauce adds a creaminess, bacon toes the line between crunchy and chewy, and adding avocado (aka bacon's best friend) ($$ yes it costs a bit extra, but worth) adds a wonderful creamy texture. Cheddar cheese is bomb af and the brioche bread adds a bit of sweetness. Split one sandwich and felt full, def enough for two people if not crazy hungry, though it is a little pricy (~$12 w/ avo) Iced Coffee, comes in regular or hazelnut flavors, does the trick, venti for $1.99, what's not to love? I surely don't get the hype of this place. It's just ok. We ordered the Avo Egg and Royal West. The avo egg is really just bland. The eggs are cooked perfectly in terms of texture. They weren't kidding when they said these eggs are the fluffiest eggs ever. They were. They were creamy and fluffy, but they were bland. The eggs could have used some salt and pepper. The Avo Egg Sandwich as a whole was bland. There was a sauce on it, but it wasn't enough to elevate the flavor of the sandwich. Though, the bun did add a nice sweetness to the sandwich. Avocado obviously has a light flavor. Therefore, the avo egg sandwich as a whole was just alright. The royal west sandwich was slightly better. Again the brioche bun adds a nice sweet flavor, and crispy texture. Again the over medium egg could have used some salt and pepper. Majority of the flavor was coming from the pickle. Now I love pickles, but only if it is properly balanced. The pickle flavor was overpowering the whole sandwich. All you taste in the sandwich was the pickle. You can taste a hint of the grilled onions and the cheese. The patty had a slightly stronger flavor, but was not enough to overmask the flavor of the pickles. The patty itself was a nice sweet patty. I did not like the texture of the patty. The texture tasted of a processed hamburger patty. Although, the royal west is better than the avo egg, it is also just alright. The quality of the food is pretty good. Again, I am questioning the quality of the royal west patty. Like stated, it had the texture of a processed frozen hamburger patty. I do appreciate the brioche bun. The avocado was nice and green with no brownage. The sauce I believe is made in-house, so that's a plus. The presentation is really nice. Though, I've seen other pictures of egg tuck's sandwiches. In the other pictures I've seen, the egg is more full towards the top of the sandwich. Though in my picture, it doesn't seem like they stacked the eggs on top for me. Nonetheless, the two sandwiches still looked appealing and instagram worthy. The chives really sell the look of the sandwiches. The price in my opinion is not worth it. Again the sandwiches are alright. They do charge a lot for either sandwich. The avo egg is something you can make at home for much cheaper than they're charging. The royal west is definitely not worth the $12. The sandwiches are not large or small. Though, I do wish they were bigger due to the price I'm paying. I personally would not pay for these sandwiches again. The staff was alright. They welcomed us upon entering. I'm not sure if it was because I was standing waiting for my food, but it felt like it took forever. Timing the order, they did take a pretty long time preparing the food. The ambiance inside is pretty modern. It is very cramped. They have nice decor and an open kitchen. I just wish they had room inside to eat or even have enough space to wait inside. The place seemed fairly clean. Some spots inside the store seemed a little dirty. The parking is pretty good because they have a parking lot. Ok sandwiches here at egg tuck. read more
