We had a really unfortunate encounter with the customer service person at the register named Siomara. My partner and I were excited to try this place for the first time. We typically like to share items and half everything. We ordered two food items to go and when we tried to ask for an extra container (empty) she was being difficult about it stating "but you ordered this to go." Then she reluctantly gave us the to go container. After that we felt uncomfortable and left since we were one of the only few people in there. Eggslut or Eggbred? lol both are a similar concept, but I gotta go with this one. They stuffed the sandwich with lots of egg and the egg is very fluffy. They also have a chicken sandwich and it comes with dipping gravy. We drank the gravy like soup. We found out this place from a friend's insta story. I'm so glad they have food like this near home, instead of driving to LA for Eggslut. I really like the decor. They have outside seating with canopies. Service was good, but nothing major. However I did ask to add avocado and it's always an up-charge which I am totally fine with paying however $2 for a tablespoon of avocado. I opened my burrito and took it out to show how much I got. I really wanted to like Egg Bred, but unfortunately, it was super disappointing. I DoorDashed the avocado toast, a soft poached egg, and arugula. Instead what I got was a mess. The toast was completely soggy, there was visible liquid pooled at the bottom and the egg was raw, translucent, and slimy. My first bite was straight into that raw egg and soggy bread, and I had to spit it out because it felt super unsafe from a food safety standpoint. Was getting an oil change down the street and popped in to EggBred for a quick breakfast with my daughter. I LOVED my breakfast sandwich ~ scramble me softly. My only complaint is I asked for green and red salsa cause our cashier said sure when I asked if we can have one of each, and we only got a green one. My sweet woman ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It was huge and came with jalapeño, smoked ketchup. The ketchup alone was worth the visit, really unique and delicious! I've stopped by EggBred several times now for breakfast and lunch and the food has been delicious and quality has improved since they opened several months ago. Items that I've ordered recently: Chorizo Breakfast Burrito - 4/5 - good amount of chorizo, grilled on the outside, and not dry and overall filling item to start your day Chorizo Chili Cheese Hash - 4/5 - fried potatoes topped with chorizo chili, the avocado cilantro crema is refreshing against the richness, and the soft poached egg was perfectly cooked, but it can be a little too salty sometimes Truffle Crunch Burger - 5/5 - Rich and flavorful, milk buns are soft and well-toasted, and the burger pairs well with the truffle spread and bitter arugula which makes for a great lunch option. Chorizo, Egg, & Cheese - 4.5/5 - A great sandwich with a flavorful and not dry chorizo patty, perfectly cooked egg, and cheese. One of my favorites here! Breakfast Poutine - 5/5 - Buttermilk popcorn chicken with thefried potatoes covered with gravy and pepper chimichurri make for a rich shareable dish that is one of the best items here and the soft poached egg was perfectly cooked, a must try! Service is quick and fast here and the ambience is overall friendly and inviting. I do love the green sauce they give you with the burritos and I like that they have where you can get tapatio, chilua, or Tabasco on the side. The burritos are an okay size, they're not exactly large, more like a medium size. I wish they offered milk here, as all they have is blood orange juice and orange juice. Came by EggBred right after their grand opening. Was a delicious lunch spot. I will say it's a little pricey, but it was a very hearty meal so I consider it worth it. The sausage was fairly dense. I didn't care for the roasted red peppers. We got an extra side of smoked paprika spread but it could have benefitted from a touch of sweetness. The Mixed Berry Cheesecake Waffle was great and almost had a Funnel Cake consistency. I got an extra side of cheesecake drizzle. It's almost like a mixture of icing and sour cream. Cool. I m SO glad they have one here in HB so I won't have to drive to La Habra to get one. This location is kind of hidden, it's right next to PizzaGuy in the Smart&Final parking lot. It's easy to miss if you are driving west bound on Adams Ave, but even when you are driving Eastbound, you might still miss it if you drive too fast. They don't really have a lot of seating area in the lobby, probably only have like about 6 tables. I order their bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I just love how soft their buns is. What took us there is a breakfast sandwich that looked amazing on their social media, particularly because it l had arugula on it -- but what we ordered had none and it did not look like a single item on their menu had any "greens" either.
