Bottom Line Up Front: Eggbred is breakfast food for Gen Z -- and that's not a dig by any means. Let me eggplain... The Background: Eggbred is a fast-food establishment with fast-casual aspirations. You pay at the counter but the meals are handcrafted, so there's a wait similar to a sit-down restaurant. Plus, the prices are higher than a Mickey D's -- $9.79 to $13.99 for sandwiches and $9.99 to $17.99 for burritos, for example. The Food: I ordered the Ribeye California Burrito and it was delicious. The beef was tender and moist, the avocado was fresh, and the cilantro crema was tasty. The lemonade was very meh, unfortunately. The Setting: Located in a smallish strip mall on Harbor Boulevard, it has limited free parking in the front. Not a problem on a weekday mid morning, but I imagine it would be quite difficult to find parking at peak times. Inside, it had a cool, modern aesthetic, but it was small, not ideal for mid to large-size groups. Customer Service: My cashier was friendly and quite knowledgeable, providing an eggcellent recommendation (the Ribeye California Burrito). However, the cook staff took awhile making the food (it took about 20 minutes for my order to come out). The Pros and Cons: So, is the food worth the hype and premium prices? Yes and no. It's essentially a fast-food restaurant charging sit-down prices with longish wait times. Your satisfaction level will depend largely on your expectations: if you're thinking it's fast food, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the care they put into the food and freshness of the ingredients. You'll be disappointed if you're expecting a more premium experience to match the premium prices. The Conclusion: I would need to return to try the other dishes on the menu to give a definitive answer, but based on my first experience I didn't feel like I got enough value for the price I paid and the wait I endured. While I would be open to trying their other dishes, I would not return unless I was in the area by chance.

I've always been able to find parking here, but on Saturday it was not happening. I parked on the street, but noticed when I exited the store to go get coffee next door, there was a parking lot in the back! If you're going north on Harbor, turn right on Las Riendas Dr, then turn right on Ladera Terrace and you can access the back parking lot of the shopping plaza. There's more space and spots to park in the back. Ordered via their website because I was craving an egg sandwich in the afternoon. I went with the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and it was good, but the sauce that they use is overpowering. My order was at the counter and the cashier was nice and handed it to me. There's indoor and outdoor seating and I went next door to get coffee at Bodhi Leaf and ate my sandwich outside of the shop, where the wooden bench/sofa is at. I loved the egg consistency and it was cooked just right with a little runny yolk, but not too runny. The bun or bread used was nice, fluffy and milky and the sausage tasted like your standard breakfast sandwich. The only thing was the sauce was too overpowering and took away from the flavor of the egg and sausage. That's the only thing I would change, other than that solid sandwich.

Egg Bread does exactly what it sounds like ~ egg-based burritos and sandwiches that are yummy, filling, and just what you'd expect. The food is satisfying in the best way, and the space itself is fun and clean... the kind of spot that feels good to eat in, not just grab and go. A note for anyone gluten-free: there is a GF option, but it's essentially just a salad swap instead of the bread. It's a nice gesture, but this is definitely not a celiac-friendly kitchen, so if you have a serious sensitivity, proceed with caution (or skip it altogether). Prices are a little on the steeper side for what you're getting, but the experience makes it worth the try. Just don't go out of your way to get here, but if you're in the area, absolutely stop in.

Love the interior of this place. It has a nice vibrant and complement colors all around. Parking is quiet easy, the plaza isn't busy for a Saturday morning. The fries is so good and crispy! The burrito with pastrami got a good combination worth other ingredients like soft scrambled egg and fries potatoes but they are a bit mushy. The service is fast too and had a good conversation with one of the staff who took my order. I think his name is Pj. I'd come back to try their other stuff!

Not sure why I haven't reviewed this place before -- have been here several times over the last few years. Ordered the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich and smoked bacon burrito -- both were very tasty. They are located in a strip mall with several other eateries -- parking. An be a challenge during peak hours. There is lots of both indoor and outdoor seating.

First time trying Eggbred and honestly would try this spot again for their breakfast items! Since it was already in the afternoon and still hadn't had lunch yet, I opted to try their sandwich options. I picked the Truffle Crunch Burger, and while it was pretty good, I didn't really taste the truffle spread and the smoked jalapeño ketchup was very mild. If those flavors were amped up a bit more, this would be super tasty! Their PCH sandwich was pretty flavorful and all the textures worked well together! Next time, I'll probably stick with my breakfast burrito cravings as those have generally been my go-to. Service was friendly but had a bit of wait since there were other late lunch diners too. The space was cute with the fun egg-themed murals and silly puns!

Craving for breakfast? Look no further! Parking is limited during peak hours and it's open daily at 7am - 2pm (except Friday and Saturday till 4pm). Inside has limited dining seating but has tables outside due to multiple eateries within the area. Sodas are can. But have a water station. Got the pastrami burrito since cashier say it's hefty. It's made to order so expect to wait. After waiting, the burrito is toasted and grilled to perfection. It's breakfast so you can't go wrong with it. But if you in a rush or coming for your lunch break, expect to wait Overall, recommend on giving this a world. Expect to wait if there's a line

Service was super friendly. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, it was a bit over fried (or maybe they need to change the oil), but the flavors were great and the chicken was tender. The Cajun gravy was delicious but the sandwich was just just as delicious stand alone. Plenty of seating, parking can get rough during the busier times. This is definitely not your fast food type situations, so order ahead of you're on the go.

Food -4* Service - 5* Ambiance -5* I joined the Yelp Elite moment to try this place. Very cool. Food I ordered the Pastrami Burrito. 4.5* It had: tortilla, beer battered potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, soft scrambled eggs, smoked paprika spread, and grilled pastrami. It was very tasty, of a good size and the pastrami was a nice kick. It added a little crispiness and salinity. It helped the other ingredients shine, in my opinion. I also ordered the BACON EGG & CHEESE. 3.5* It had: Applewood smoked bacon, fresh-cracked over medium egg, sharp cheddar, smoked jalapeño ketchup, toasted milk bun. The egg was perfectly cooked, but the jalapeño ketchup was very sweet. While ketchup is normally sweet, this was overly sweet. It overpowered all the other flavors. I would not get again. They gave me a house made lemonade. It was good, refreshing, light and balanced. Service Fast, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ambiance Cool esthetic going on here. They were jamming the tunes of a mix of genres. Cool wall art about eggs. Egg shaped lights in the dining room. Lots of yolk color. Very cool and fun. I bet it would be fun to work here.

I decided to try their burrito and I got a lemonade. The people are helpful and kind. I was indecisive on what to get but a breakfast burrito was the way to go. I couldn't finish it because I got full but it had parts of hashbrowns inside their burrito and that was so good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. First time at this place and I'm happy to say I found a new spot to go to! I ordered the bacon, egg, cheese sandwich as well as the pastrami breakfast burrito and both of them were very tasty! They make things fresh, so do expect a little bit of time to get your meal. The sandwich was great albeit, I probably would have put a little less of the bbq sauce on it. Otherwise, it tasted great! The burrito was a surprise. Never tried pastrami for a breakfast burrito but it worked! The eggs were very fluffy. The potatoes tasted great. And the meat was great. All in all, a solid place to get your breakfast fix! The people are nice and the inside has a decent amount of seating.

I tried Eggbred on a Saturday morning. I was able to call in my order so it was ready for pickup when I arrived. I love convenience so this was a plus. I got the PCH sandwich which was very flavorful, you could really taste the pineapple which made the sandwich delicious in my opinion.

Even so, the staff kept things moving smoothly. The guy who took our order from Corporate I believe, he was awesome, great personality, made great recommendations and took the time to get to know each customer that walked by to order and made each of us feel special. Very personable and people oriented. Overall, Eggbred in La Habra, CA delivered a fun, flavorful breakfast experience with standout items and great service. While the wet scrambled egg sandwich wasn't my personal favorite, the fried chicken sandwich and blueberry cheesecake waffle more than made up for it. Combined with the lively décor and warm staff, it's a spot I'd happily return to when I'm craving a creative, satisfying breakfast.

This place was incredible starting with the ambiance inside was very comforting but unique yet safe with COVID regulations. The best part was the food the flavors were immaculate especially the recommendations from Kimmberly were spot on of what I was looking for! Besides her great recommendations she was very welcoming, kind and bubbly! I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone! Expect me coming back really soon!! read more

I've driven by here many times but am not usually in the area during breakfast hours to try them out. Just so happened that today I was. Couldn't decide from the options so ended up going with the sausage and the bacon sandwiches. My only complaint would be the 15-20 minute wait to get the food. Other than that, the sandwiches were great. Loved the runny yolk. My wife had to wait a couple of hours to get to hers but she loved it. My birthday is tomorrow so I might be back for more. read more

If you're not already on your way to go try this place out, get in your car and go now. If you look it up ahead of time you can call in an order. The steak and egg breakfast sandwich is without a doubt the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I am very excited to go back and try some other options. Everything on their menu sounded phenomenal. The establishment is clean, the staff was very friendly and willing to explain details, and they are following Covid guidelines. I'm usually a nice rater and typically give most places 5 stars unless you really mess up. Egg Bred, however, truly deserves 5 stars. Despite the current crisis we're in, they took on the challenge of delivering hot, delicious food at a more than surprising expectation. From the hot coffee, which was fresh and hot to the wait of my order (breakfast poutine) to the taste of the dish. I was thoroughly impressed. The poutine calls for poached eggs, however, I asked for scrambled--not a problem! The dish is loaded with large crispy potatoes, eggs, fried chicken pieces, gravy, shredded cheese and a few other ingredients but those listed stood out. On that day, patrons were able to enjoy their meal out on the patio. The location off Egg Bred is great because there are other great breakfast/lunch/dinner spots. I believe it's officially called Harbor Row(?). Nonetheless, try the place out. Be prepared to pay close to $20 for a complete meal. I believe my Poutine and coffee was $16. But it's totally worth it, you'll leave satisfied and full! read more

Moved from LA to OC recently and we thought we wouldn't have any good food options down here... we were wrong. We loved this place! Got a bacon egg and cheese and a sausage egg and cheese. I saw this place on Yelp and had to try it has a huge fan of breakfast sandwiches and milk buns. I came with my coworkers and we got The Country Fried Chicken sandwich, the Ribeye Steak & Egg sandwich and the Breakfast Poutine. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty generic/lacked seasoning and they messed up one of the orders as they forgot to put an egg on it (it comes with an egg). The bun was nice and the way it comes wrapped up looks nice. The gravy it comes with was also a little bland but the sandwich needed it. The Breakfast Poutine was pretty good but definitely not poutine (no cheese curds) and the egg on top was over cooked so the yolk wasn't runny. We also got their fresh squeezed blood orange juice and it was super fresh! The place itself is very aesthetically pleasing but the staff just seemed a bit confused but this is bound to happen with a new place. I'll definitely come back to try some other items on the menu though! UPDATE 11/5/20 Someone reached out to me about this review and kindly offered me a redemption sando as they ran out of brine for the chicken when I came. 5 stars now for great customer service :) read more

great food alittle pricey but it's definitely quality over quantity they accidentally forgot one of my items which i understood it happens but the gave me a complementary sandwich great service and ambience with outdoor seating i recommend the poutine ,country fried steak sandwich and berry cheesecake waffles read more

Food was great! Gf and I shared a chicken sando and poutine...D-LISH! Brewed coffee and mango smoothie were so good too! Service was just as good, left without one of the drinks and came back and they got it for me right away. Will frequent this place. read more

Extremely disappointed with this establishment, they experienced a huge back up causing people to get turned away. My food was cold and all they said was sorry for the inconvenience. I don't make things a big issue because I'm not going to wait another 20-30 minutes for the cold stuff to be remade. Took my food and reheated it, next time I hope it's smoother. Food is bomb so I'll always come back and you should too if you got to this point of the review. read more

I have been anticipating the opening of this place since following them on IG and have been constantly peering in whenever I make my Bodhi Coffee runs next door. It is very very obvious that they rushed their opening as the girl at front of house was not well versed and not well trained with how to deal with patrons and she was very confused with reading ticket orders when it came time to packaging them. She also lacked energy and enthusiasm, maybe it was too early for her but she also did not offer to help customers looking aimlessly at the menu. she could help make recommendations or help explain what their top sellers are, etc. I also witnessed something that I was not pleased with but did bring it up with the manager who assured me it will never happen again, let's just say take advantage of the show in the open kitchen concept. I know it's very difficult and stressful opening up a new business especially during a pandemic so I want to be very understanding. Give them a while to work out the kinks, I wish them success and hope to return. read more

We just found this place today and couldn't be happier that our last breakfast of this terrible year was so delicious. Very easy online menu and ordering service, packaged perfectly to survive a drive home neatly, and customer service was absolutely wonderful! The food was delicious. We got the Benny on the Rocks, Scramble me Softly, and the house biscuits and gravy. The hand smashed potatoes made my Irish ancestors cry tears of deliciousness. My husband doesn't even like breakfast and he was ready for a second sandwich before he finished the first. I have eaten my fair share of eggs Benedict, but this plate takes the cake. It was probably a 20 minute drive home, after our order had been chillin a little while because of my own poor time management skills, and it was still fire when finally ate. We can't wait to be able to sit down and eat in house because it'll likely be our new favorite breakfast spot. 10/10 will eat again. read more

Food tastes decent and portions are on the lighter side. 2 stars for sanitation reasons. THE CASHIER WAS ALSO HANDLING THE FOOD. Just Bc you're wearing protective gloves doesn't mean it's ok to go from the cash register to touching the food without washing your hands or replacing the gloves you're wearing. Even if it's as simple as picking up the food and placing them inside the bags, germs can be transmitted during that simple process Bc your hands were just on the cash register. Then you go back to the register (without washing your hands or changing gloves) and this process happens your entire shift. Either protocol and policy is not thorough, or training is lacking amongst the employees. Bottom line, it's disgusting. I understand that you may be trying to help your associates, but this doesn't help with sanitation post Covid era. I got the truffle burger ($14). And for this price I would prefer something larger as opposed to something that looks so pretty. Add fries and a drink and now we're encroaching closer to a $20 bill. Add a date, and now you've spent close to $40 for a 2 burger combo. If you're going to charge this much for a burger it should hit you in your face and taste buds, but it was lacking in that department. If I were working for minimum wage I would have to work half an entire business day just for a dinner date. If I were getting paid $40 an hour I would expect something more for that price range. read more

it was so good. IT WAS SO GOOD. We went one day, and came back THE NEXT DAY. We've gone twice a week since we found it. EVERYTHING IS DELICIOUS, but we especially like upgrading the fried chicken breakfast sandwich to a nashville hottie, and the ribeye steak and egg!!! one sandwich is more than enough food for a person! AND THE POTATOES!! We weren't expecting much and now we're obsessed. We have to talk ourselves out of going back every single day and spending absolutely all our money on eggbred. read more

First time visit, cute little place in a good location. Ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. I didn't realize the egg was over easy, which is not my favorite, my fault for not reading further. But the bun was burned and was so oily on top I had to wipe it off with a napkin. Might try them again for something else, other things on the menu sounded good, and they have to have something good to get all the good reviews. But I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. read more

Bruh this food is legit. Stopped by before work (though I definitely will say don't be in a rush bc it takes longer and it tastes much better than something quick) and after a stressful morning this food hit that spot. I only gave 2 stars because their food tastes good. But if you wanna quickly get in and out forget this place. Ordered a small chorizo egg sandwich and waited nearly 30 mins for it and when you ask how long it is going to be they tell you they can't help. So if you're in rush don't waste your time. read more

Finally got a chance to try this place out! We picked up a bacon, egg, cheese sandwich for our breakfast today. I liked how Eggbred cooked the egg to perfection-soft yolk center...yum! I thought the ratio of brioche bun vs the filling was off, a little too much bun. But it was still tasty! Definitely will be back to try a different sandwich! read more

I don't understand the hype here. Yes, it's adorable inside and they have cute packaging, but for a place that specializes in EGGS they can't seem to cook them correctly. On 3 diff occasions I ordered a poached egg and got a really over cooked egg that was like jelly instead of runny golden goodness. The gravy they use is awful and most everything is bland. I feel like crap after I eat here, like I need a 2 hour nap to recover. I'm officially done with trying to like this place. They get 2 stars vs 1 because their beer battered potatoes are pretty good. If you want bomb breakfast you should try Early Bird down the street. read more

Amazing food! Great customer service! Glad they're here in our new hometown. I had the fried chicken breakfast sandwich which so amazing! Also the fresh squeezed orange juice was refreshing and I really appreciate the real oranges. Our first time here. We ordered a Nashville Hottie and a truffle burger. Holy cow! Spice was just right on the hottie and it was hefty! The truffle burger was a bit smaller but it satisfied my fianceé and that's saying something! The fries were pretty good too. We'll be back soon. Yum! read more

Eggbred is in the newly redeveloped strip mall off of Harbor Blvd and Imperial Hwy in the city of La Habra, CA. We wanted to create one of the best breakfast restaurants that provides the surrounding community with delicious fresh food in a fast casual environment. Holding onto the philosophy of fresh cooked food, served fast and with a smile; we stand apart by making our ingredients from scratch. We use cage-free eggs, make our sauces in-house, grind our own sausage, chorizo, and brisket burger patties, and many more. Eggbred has been popping up on my social media feeds and since I'm all about trying new places, I was excited to try this new breakfast/lunch place! It's located in the new plaza in La Habra, THE ROW with other eateries and Club pilates! (Drive slow, because I missed the entrance). There was ample parking in the front and back. The first time I went, was day 2 of their soft opening, and the line was out the door. I didn't mind waiting even though it was hot outside, because there's so many cute photo ops and decor to look at! So unique and creative to create a space that is dedicated to eggs! I spy Mr. Burns! On my visit, I tried the cheeseburger, arugula salad, potatoes, biscuit (could be softer and warmer)/gravy (MUST TRY), and the red velvet waffles! Everything was delicious, especially with the bread they put on it! I thought it would be heavy and greasy, but not at all! The red velvet waffles were first aesthetically beautiful and was the perfect way to end the meal! What impressed me most was their beverage selections. Being an avid coffee drinker, I am VERY particular with my coffee. But the Rhost cold brew there is OH MY GOODNESS--probably the best I've ever had! They also have a variety of Pressed juices, beer, champagne for mimosas and more. If you love breakfast and especially eggs, I would recommend coming here. It isn't your typical egg sandwich (no sir), and you can tell the menu items were really curated and crafted with the intent to satisfy your tummy and bring a big smile to your face! We recently visited Eggbred and tried the Benny breakfast burrito, which includes Black Forest ham and hollandaise, and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich, along with the beer-battered potatoes. The sandwich wasn't our favorite, as it had a pimento-like spread from the roasted pepper chimichurri. However, the breakfast burrito was pretty solid, though we would have loved a bit more crunch or crispy factor in it. My wife came in today to bring the family some food. It took about 30 minutes for my order I got cold eggs in my burrito and cold queso? I am confused why if she had to wait 30 minutes at least have the food be fresh. I am tired of places promoting fast fresh food when this simply isn't the case. Great little place to eat something different. We were a party of four meeting up to discuss vacation details. We ate outside and had plenty of room and privacy. The food was good and the service was good. They had this great green salsa that they served with everyone's burritos. I would definitely go back. Absolutely incredible chicken. I had the chicken breakfast sandwich Nashville hot and it had to be the best tasting chicken sandwich I've had. I just had Dave's hot chicken yday and was a little disappointed in how dry it was, but this this place knows how to do chicken.
