At 11:30 on Saturday 6/20 - 30 minute wait for two people. Portuguese sausage, spinach, mushroom, and cheese omelet $19 with fried rice $5 extra Omelet was hot fried rice was cold. Both tasty. Pancakes were hot and good. $17. Food was fast. Volume is loud. Restaurant generally clean but looking rundown.
Good timing to get here at 11:30am because I didn't have to wait in line and my niece was on her way. Drank coffee until she arrived (the staff was amazing and entertaining). When my niece arrived we ordered. I had corned beef hash and scrambled eggs and my niece had the minced vegan patty with home fried potatoes. Eggs 'n Things still makes da best breakfasts.
On our Hawaii trip we stopped at one of the eggs n things locations and we were so happy we did! The portions were very generous and the food was made to perfection. Definitely try the adobo fried rice when you visit. The restaurant was very clean and our servers were welcoming and attentive to our needs!
I was back in Hawaii, and remembering the great meal I had here last time, I decided to come back. I got here a few minutes after seven on a Wednesday morning, and it was not busy at all..... as always, the place is bright and clean, and everybody was very friendly... This time, I decided to go for the Kal-bi short rib, with eggs and rice. The food came quick, and once again, it was amazing. The rib was tender, marinated very well, and absolutely delicious. The eggs were perfectly done, as was the generous portion of rice. It also came with a side order of kimchi. I almost asked him to leave it off, as I normally don't care for kimchi, because every time I've had it, it was very spicy. My server told me that this kimchi was not spicy, I decided to try it, and I am glad I did. It was absolutely delicious, tender, and it had just the tiniest hint of spice. Just enough that I barely noticed it. It didn't look like a big plate of food when he brought it, but it was a very generous portion. I did not leave hungry. As always, the coffee was also very good, and they kept my cup full. Prices are just a tiny bit on the higher end, but extremely reasonable for what you get. There is a small up charge if you pay with credit/debit, but they clearly make that known when you check out. Thank you again for a great meal,
Very busy location with good food and plenty of seating. I had the ribeye steak & eggs with a short stack of pancakes. Coconut syrup was a great local taste on top of my pancakes. Coffee was good, service very friendly and decent based on how busy they were. I wanted a refill on my coffee and had to go to counter to make request, not knowing my waiter was aware and was just waiting on a fresh pot. Great service but could have been better if communicated more verbally. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 due to the Aloha spirit and local vibes. Definitely will be back again!
The best breakfast I had in Waikīkī was at Eggs 'n Things. The food tasted amazing, and everything came out fresh and flavorful(ps. Make sure you try the salsa). The staff definitely made the experience even more enjoyable--they were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It's located on the second floor and has a really cute ambiance that makes it a great spot to sit down and enjoy breakfast while in Waikīkī. Definitely a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a great start to your day.
Idk why I've never yelped this place but this was maybe my 4th of 5th visit to Eggs 'n Things. I usually bring family or friends here who visit us from the mainland but today's visit was just my husband and I. We were looking for someplace to eat that would kill time while we waiting for Ala Moana to open and decided on Eggs 'n Things. Tons of free parking and they offer waitlist service via yelp app. Party of 2 and zero wait :) Provided with water and drink order taken immediately upon being seated. Their menu is extensive and they offer typical breakfast items (i.e., pancakes, waffles, omelette) plus local favorites (i.e., fried rice, loco moco). My husband and I decided to share and chose the breakfast meat n eggs which comes with 2 eggs and your choice of spam, Portuguese sausage, chicken apple sausage, pork links, bacon, ham, turkey bacon, corned beef hash, or vegan patty plus a starch which could be rice, breakfast hash, or short stack of buttermilk pancakes. We chose Portuguese sausage with rice and two over easy eggs. Eggs were cooked perfectly. 4 large slices of Portuguese sausage were delicious with a hint of heat/spiciness and that true smokey portuguese sausage flavor. Rice seemed dry like they didn't add enough water in the rice pot! We also decided on the 3 strawberry crepes. Ok, so here's where the WTF begins. 3 large crepes served rolled and topped with thin slices of strawberries then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Looks pleasant buttttt that's about it. The crepes were like pancakes or thinner pancakes but thick crepes. We also tasted cinnamon so we're thinking they must add that to their crepe batter!? These weren't the typical French origin crepes that are thin, delicate, with a hint of sweetness that were used to. These were bad! We'd probably return but we would most def stay away from ordering crepes ever again!
Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were definitely shareable if you like or if you're hungry will fill you up! The servers were all nice and friendly. We had about 3 different workers helping us. There is indoor seating available to enjoy your breakfast with family and friends. Clean place located by Ala Moana Center. This is one of our go to for breakfast when in Honolulu.
Used to be my favorite breakfast spot! What happened, Eggs n things? The service went downhill! I don't feel the aloha when I walk through the doors anymore. More like angry auntie greeting you and telling you to wait outside rudely. The wait is brutal even when you get yourself on waitlist. Total wait time for us was over an hour and 20 min for our food. I also had to ask for a refill for my coffee- nobody came around! Such a bummer because I really loved this location. They had top notch service here but I guess it's hard to find good people nowadays.
Eggs 'n Things is the place I go to when I want a quick and satisfying breakfast. We've tried various dishes over the years, and usually my go-to is the Eggs Benedict - I've tried this at almost every breakfast-serving place I visit, and this one is one of the best I've had - but lately I've been getting the Hawaiian Loco Moco and this is a good one if you need a meal that will leave you feeling full and content. It is so tasty with the hamburger patty and diced Portuguese sausage, and top it with 2 over easy eggs and you won't need to eat lunch because it's filling! My son likes to get the pancakes or waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream, but at this last visit, he got the French Toast Special (blueberries, cream cheese and whipped topping) and it was delicious! Service is always great and really quick. They are attentive and regularly come to check on you. I like how the tables are spaced out nicely and it's a very peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. Don't forget to mention if you're Kama'aina - you get a little discount!

Early morning in Hawaii and we wanted to go see the Manoa falls, but the roads were closed and it was raining. So we decided to go eat instead. It was a struggle to find an early morning spot. We decided to come here (after a quick stop at Leonards). I browsed through the Yelp food photos and saw the corned beef hash which is one of my favorite breakfast dish. When we got here, I was torn between a loco moco and the corned beef hash omelette. Ahhhh! So hard to choose! So I decided to ask our server which one would he choose..."loco moco or corned beef hash" both my favorite! He offered the best of both worlds!!! Corned beef hash loco moco which was not on menu. I thought our server was messing with me, but nope! He said it's a secret menu . I was sold! Verdict: Excellent/Outstanding/superstar service (mahalo nui loa, Jirus!!) Corned beef hash loco moco - sooo good it convinced my friend to start ordering loco moco everywhere we go lol. read more

I used yelp and joined their waiting time list. By the time we left the airport parking lot and got there it was time to check in (25 minutes) and then we waited maybe 10 more minutes to be seated. The restaurant is next to the Ala Moana Shopping Mall. The waiter was good. We waited around 15 minutes for the food. We ordered the Portuguese sausage and egg dish, the egg burrito with spam, and the Hawaiian french toast with pineapple. Everything was delicious! To drink I tried the iced sweetened cappuccino. It was ok. I totally recommend this restaurant for breakfast! read more

I love eating here when I'm feeling breakfast for dinner. It's literally my "go to" at night. It's nice that they stay open late, so it's easy for me to choose to eat here. Let's start with their food. I've been coming quite often lately, probably at least once a week. I've tried the crab benedict, the bacon, spinach, and cheese omelette, the morning wrap, a side of corn beef hash, and the pancakes. I expected the crab benedict to be really good, but I was slightly disappointed. It was a too salty for my taste. Though, the portion size was fair. The bacon, spinach, and cheese omelette was very thin. It seemed as though there was not enough egg to make it an omelette. It was as thin as a crepe. Although it was tasty, I would definitely suggest "beefing" up your omelette and making it fuller. Other than that, save your money and get something else. What I did like was the morning wrap. I get mine with cheddar and bacon and it does not disappoint! It was so good and also comes with a side of salsa. The size was perfect and I saved the other half for breakfast the next day. The corn beef hash was also good. Definitely a great add on to any dish I'd tour choosing. It wasn't salty and had a little crisp to it, which I enjoyed. The pancakes are sooo ono. I love the guava and coconut syrup that they have readily available at the tables. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water. Other than that, I'll be returning to get more pancakes and morning wraps! read more

Eggs 'n things is a good restaurant for breakfast. Their menu has a large selection of basic and creative breakfasts some with a local flair. They are conveniently located right next to Ala Moana shopping center. I stopped here for a breakfast meeting with a friend. Service was fast and efficient. I had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict which comes with three buttermilk pancakes on the side. We also tried one of the crepes. The food was brought out within 5 to 10 minutes and it was very tasty. The eggs Benedict was $14.50 and the crêpe was $15. I will definitely come back and consider some of the other menu options. read more

Brunch in Ala Moana, Honolulu... My friend wasn't able to dine with me yesterday, so she wanted to make it up to me today... Haha! Sweet, huh? I even got to choose the place! I haven't been to Eggs 'N Things in a long time. They're usually crowded because I think they advertise in a Japanese tourist magazine... really! There was some luggage in the retail area as if the tourists were on their way to the airport or hotel! Eggs 'N Things is great for late night eats because they close at midnight on the weekends and 10pm on weekdays. They're conveniently located in the Plaza next to Ala Moana Shopping Center and share the free parking lot with Mitsuwa Marketplace. Our efficient server was Ryan. He really hustled at every table in his half of the restaurant - and filled my water cup without my asking. The amazing ordering system is paperless... like on a small tablet. Very cool! My friend and I shared the fresh strawberry whipped cream waffle (which I won on Instagram) and the Crabcakes Egg Benedict. I didn't find any lumps of crab meat in the Benedict. However, the fresh strawberries on the waffle were a treat! My friend even commented on how the waffle had a perfect crispness on the outside and was still soft on the inside! First time here for brunch! We did the waitlist on yelp, and we were able to get seated right away when we arrived. If you plan on dining here, highly recommend the waitlist or reservation because tables get filled quickly. We got the Hawaiian Loco Moco and Signature Belgian Waffles with fresh strawberries, nutella, and whipped cream. I usually don't like waffles/pancakes but these waffles were so tasty! I love that I can customize them to meet my taste. I hope I'll be able to visit all of their locations in Hawaii some day!! read more

Came to Eggs N Things at the recommendation of the restaurant's owners- they recommended we try the breakfast burrito. The restaurant itself was super cute, the staff were friendly and quick, and the breakfast burrito was delicious. You get to pick type of meat and cheese (I got Ham and a pepper jack). Will definitely come here again the next time we're in Oahu, the whole menu looks amazing and can't wait to try the rest of it! read more

The location is busy, the service was good, and the food was 8 out of 10 (in my opinion) I had my first visit on a Saturday morning, so breakfast is the meal being reviewed. We arrived and had about a 15 minute wait to be seated. Parking was ample which was a surprise seeing as how the restaurant was very busy. Once seated it took only a few minutes to be greeted my our server with utensils and water. He gave us just enough time to look over the menu and came back to take our order. He was knowledgable of the menu and was able to answer our questions regarding the dishes we wanted. I ordered the eggs benedict with coffee and my husband ordered the breakfast burrito with soda. Food came out quick and was nice and hot! My eggs benedict was delicious. Eggs poached to perfection, English muffin toasted just right, ham just the right flavor of sweet and salty and the hollandaise sauce was creamy and delicious. I would definitely come back again for this dish. Not mention you get a choice of pancakes, rice, or potatoes with your meal. My husband's breakfast burrito came with a choice of meat, bacon, ham, or portuguese sausage and included eggs, potatoe and green onion. He opted for the bacon and omitted the green onion. I thought the burrito was a little too potatoe heavy and didn't have much flavor. About the coffee...yes please! It was hot, strong, and unlimited refills. A definite plus. Last but not least they give a 5% discount to military and Kaimaaina, so you can't go wrong. If you haven't already tries them what are you waiting for!? read more

Little bit of a wait this morning but nothing to crazy. Wife and I came here the morning after we got married which was 2014 and not sure why took us so long to come back which was today, but with a two year pandemic I'm going to go with that...lol... Our go to is the Hawaiian style local Moco hers with white rice and mines with fried rice. Always so delicious! We also tried the malasada pancakes with cinnamon and sugar. Was ok my wife enjoyed it, I would of liked a more malasada type dough but was still good with the coconut syrup! read more

We came here because pretty much everyone and their momma (tourists and locals) told us that we had to eat here. We were told that people line up at 4/5am to eat here (although I think that may have been in reference to the Waikiki location). This might be best location because there wasn't much of a line. We had about a five-minute (if that) wait to grab a couple of stools at the bar. The food was decent, but it was not out of the world amazing. I honestly didn't see all the hype, but that's just me (perhaps, I was missing something). I will say that the staff was absolutely amazing. We really did not need to wait for anything. Also, our waitress pretty much explained all of the restaurant deals. I went for an omelette with a stack of pancakes and had no major complaints. I would visit Eggs N Things again, but I probably would not venture too far to eat here. read more

We were offered a free Bogo menu item from Fivestars. Buy any one entree and get the second one free. We ordered their delicious Fresh Furikake Ahi and Eggs. I ordered the Pancakes as my side dish. All for $15. The wasabi dip was very creamy and whipped. My fresh Furikake Ahi had a macadamia nut sprinkled on top along with the Furikake. When the Ahi is in your mouth it just melts in. I ordered scrambled eggs. We are definitely coming back. Eggs and Things have 3 different Fresh Ahi and Eggs prepared. The first one is Cajun Fresh Ahi and Eggs. The second one is Furikake Fresh Ahi (Macadamia Nuts and Furikake sprinkled on top) and Eggs and the third one is Sautéed Fresh Ahi and Eggs. read more

Had a take out order, the food tasted like bleach, could not get in touch with a manager as their phone system wasn't working-at first it didn't even ring, then when it did, I dialed the extension for a manager but that said "this extension is not assigned". Had to call a different store to get in touch with that manager and all they did was say that they'll text the other store to tell them to answer the phone. Update: I ended up in the ER. They diagnosed me with acute food poisoning. No response from Eggs N Things. Horrible company. Update 2: they like gaslighting. Wish yelp would let you reply to their replies. I'm not going to engage in this conversation-we told them OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT WE HAD THE FOOD AND WE WANTED TO RETURN IT BUT THE MANAGER ON DUTY LAUGHED AT US AND REFUSED IT. IT WAS NOT US WHO DIDN'T WANT TO BRING THE FOOD BACK. So tell me, just how do you take these accusations seriously when your own manager refused to take the food back and all you refused a refund and offered 20% off-as if we would even consider eating at this place ever again? And I get this gaslighting reply about two weeks later??? ONCE AGAIN, YOUR MANAGER REFUSED WHEN WE WERE GOING TO RETURN THE FOOD. Update 3: they told the BBB that this review was is false and that it is a "low blow". I have the urgent care report that diagnoses it as acute food poisoning. I can't believe the level of unprofessionalism that is happening here. They also are now putting words into our mouths. See attached pic. We never threatened them. I'm not even sure how these guys are PR or HR people, this is unreal. read more

Came here last week during my family's vacation. Saw the reviews on yelp and thought to give the place a try. We were not disappointed! The fresh fruit rainbow pancakes was great just maybe a little overwhelming on the whipped cream but it was delicious. My family also enjoyed their dishes also. Service was friendly and food came out in a decent amount of time. We will definitely be back when we visit Hawaii! read more

We ordered takeout to our hotel room and were pleasantly surprised. The price was incredibly reasonable. The smoked salmon Benedict was delicious with beautifully runny eggs and it even came with a side of pancakes. My boyfriend got the fresh fruit rainbow pancakes which were generously piled with fruit. The POG juice was also delicious! 3.5 stars for Eggs 'n Things. My sister and I took my mom here for lunch for her birthday. She's been wanting to go to Eggs n Things for a while. Last year my other sister had an Easter breakfast that Eggs n Things catered and she's been wanting to go there ever since. Eggs n Things is located outside of Ala Moana. It's in a small complex that has Nijiya Market, Payless Shoe, Taiyo ramen, and Cho Dang. They were surprisingly very very busy. We just thought that we would go there and get seated. Nope, there were tons of tourists out there waiting for a seat. The hostess said that it would be a 30 minute wait. I winced when she said that but we said okay because my mom wanted to eat there. We got in a little before they said and were serviced right away. They have a kids menu but the lunch isn't served until 12 pm. My daughter isn't into so much breakfast foods so I wanted to order off the Keiki lunch menu for her. The waiter said I had to wait 4 minutes which I was okay with. When it came time to order, I got my daughter the sautéed ahi with rice, my mom got corned beef hash with eggs, my sister got corn chowder bread bowl, my other sister got smoked salmon Benedict, and I got the Hawaiian loco moco. They have about four different loco moco on their menu but the waiter recommended the Hawaiian loco moco and said that it's their most popular one. The Hawaiian loco moco is a hamburger patty, seared onions, and Portuguese sausage topped with brown gravy and eggs. My loco moco was okay. I think next time I'd like to try their other loco moco. It's called the Paniolo and it's different because the patty is covered with a white gravy instead of brown. I think I prefer my loco moco without the Portuguese sausage. I think I still prefer BCD loco moco. I was able to taste some of my other family members meals. The smoked salmon Benedict was pretty good. I told my sister that it tasted healthy. But I guess anything is healthier than eating what I ate. My mom also has some left over pancakes from her corned beef hash meal. Those were really good. Very fluffy and tasty. I tried getting a taste of my other sister's soup but by the time I tried to dip my spoon in her bread bowl, everything was gone. I guess that was good. I'd definitely try this place again. They have a lot of different choices for food. On my next visit I'd like to have their pancakes and their paniolo loco moco. read more

We ordered eggs Benedict w/ pork, pancakes, and steak & eggs. POG juice was good, plantation ice tea was trash. Start off there was hair in benedict, and it just didn't taste good at all. Could eat more than a bite. Left a full plate, when asked how it was we said not good at all. Nothing was done to rectify the situation. Steak was supposed to be prepared medium, it was cooked well done. Why ask how I'd like it if not going to comply? No taste in it at all. No time to get a new one, so once again, stuck with an unsatisfactory plate. Waited to see if there was anything that would be done about the bill. Nothing at all. Pancakes were the best thing. I'm a foodie, oped to enjoy this place, but can't say I'd ever come back, which is a shame. I alway support local establishments. read more

First time here. Was put on a waitlist for about 1 hour. Wondered if this place was worth a 1 hour wait. When we finally went in, place was very clean and tables spread apart for social distance. Wait staff was very very friendly and service was great. We ordered the Hawaiian loco moco, special Portuguese sausage omelette with cheese and a regular Portuguese sausage omelette. I would have to say the burger in the loco moco was not home made and it was burnt but other than that it was good. The other 2 omelettes were good too. Great place overall! Service was amazing, and the morning wrap (with turkey bacon) was so good. The Nutella strawberry waffle was a great way to end the meal with something sweet. Just note the strawberries weren't fresh (probably preserved) and the whipped cream was a little too much read more

It's been a minute since I visited Egg's n Things. With all the new brunch spots all over I wanted to try I totally forgot about this oldie but goodie. Seriously! My husband and I visited this past weekend. We used the handy, dandy Yelp app to get on the waitlist. We were on the waitlist for 45 mins. As I scoped the menu out I noticed the price points were nice! Most items were priced below $15! That's hard to find lately. My husband ordered the Hawaiian Loco Moco and I ordered the spinach ,bacon, cheese omelet. The food was delicious. I don't remember the last time I found a loco moco with onions AND mushrooms DROOL!! The omelet was full of bacon and had a good amount of spinach. I got pepper jacks cheese and it tasted perfect! The potatoes looked boring but they actually were tasty. it was crisp on the outside while soft and warm on the inside. read more

I believe it's first come first serve. You put your name on the list if it's full. I normally go early to beat the breakfast rush if I plan to eat there on a weekend. Because covid restrictions remember seating is limited.
