Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at about 9am. I feel like we just missed a big breakfast rush so it was good timing, I'd say. They have daily breakfast specials like for crepes, French toast, omelettes, etc. so be sure to check the screens or ask a wait staff. We ordered the corned beef hash & eggs, and the blueberry coconut French toast (on special). The corned beef hash was ono and came with two eggs done your way. I would definitely recommend it! The blueberry French coconut French toast was alright. It was a little more on the dry side for French toast, but still sweet. What Eggs & Things has though that makes their French toast, pancakes, waffles, and crepes more special is their guava and coconut syrups. Put that on everything! Service was great and food came out in 10-15 minutes. The parking lot is small and shared with 2 other restaurants, a market, and Payless Shoes. I'm sorry to say but this location of Eggs n' Things was pretty bad. We arrived just before they opened. Our server was really good but he needed help. Two girls who greeted us (did just that), stood around the entire time and the only other guy who was not taking orders was delivering the food. Potatoes felt like leftover potatoes and so greasy could not eat them. Never got a refill of coffee (coffee $4,00), and cup very small. Then bill came - charged a kitchen service fee (3%), and a credit card fee. Just felt bad for our server who was then working on 7 tables and no one was helping him. I think the eggs are microwaved too - scramble eggs came in a very weird round, circular shape - so weird. The day after we landed my mom and I wanted to try something different (outside of the hotel where the only brunch option was $35 a plate) with good reviews. Let me tell you, this food did NOT disappoint. We got WAY too much food (all incredible) because the portions are extremely large. I highly recommend the fresh pineapple, plantation iced tea, and eggs benedict. The only reason I gave it 4-stars was because the service was subpar. Our waiter didn't come to check on us once except for to ask what we wanted and collect our plates long after we were done. I dropped my fork on the ground at one point and had to walk to the cash register to ask for a new one. The quality of the food and cheap prices more than make up for this though. Wish I could give more stars because the women in here were very nice including manager. It took one man -Randy- to bring this rating down to 2 stars for me. I'm going to flat out say it Randy came off very racist towards us. 4 African Americans brought out his truth I guess. We woke up starving and picked a place but a quick turn accidentally put us here (around 8am). We were so hungry we decided to park and go in. On entry we're greeted by the ladies and seated Went straight to viewing the menu ,barely said a word to each other we were focused lol. Randy appears We start ordering drinks he says ok and literally walks away as we're still talking he had to turn back to us to answer "Kona coffee". We think wow he's in a rush. Now for food, we all know what we want so we're going around the table , he takes 2 orders and starts walking away again! says ok he'll be back for other 2. We say no way we're all ready now. At this point we start to feel it's personal because the place wasn't crowded where is he running to? Food arrives we ask for ketchup packets (the bottle on table was dirty) Randy says we don't have those & we're thinking what do they give for take out? As we're about start to eating more patrons enter, Randy now has 4 tables us, a hawiian family behind us, 2 tables both white families in front of us. We see and hear him greet all those tables with a smile, actually stood at every one having conversations and laughs. Randy has checked on the 3 tables multiple times, NEVER came back to us even tho we were there first. Just imagine your waiter passing you by going to table behind and in front of you. We flagged down a waitress and inform her of what's going on with randy & ask for someone else she apologized and helps us with more coffee, we then ask her about ketchup packets she says they have them and brings us a bunch from a basket at the front desk where they all stand!! Geesh were not even worth ketchup packets? Anyway the whole experience was such a turn off we all ate due to hunger but definitely lost our appetite. We explain entire situation to manager she apologized multiple times. We PAID our BILL with tip to new waitress and left. You can usually find parking in their lot outside easily. Went there on a Sunday morning at 10am and the wait was about 20 minutes. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I got a breakfast burrito and hot chocolate. I love that the hot chocolate came with sprinkles. I couldn't decide on spam or Portuguese sausage so got both for an extra charge ($1.50-$2?) The burrito was tasty and huge! There were potatoes in the burrito, not as crazy about potatoes so I probably will ask for less if I get that again. It comes with a side of salsa which I liked. Only ate half and took half home. Asked them for take out salsa which she happily provided. Prices were fair. For a basic, no fuss breakfast, this place holds up. read more

The omelette was thin and flat sprinkled with about a small handful of potatoes. Nothing special. Daughter ordered turkey bacon, white rice and easy over eggs. ....again nothing special. Food and service is good here but as often as I come here the one thing they could improve for seating capacity is opening up the bar area for those that dine here with parties of 1. There is absolutely no reason to wait 45mins to 1 hour to be seated when the bar area is wide open. There's no pandemic, take down those useless pieces of plastic on the bar area and open it up!!! We arrived around 10am and noticed a gathering waiting outside for a table. A group of us were famished after walking around the Collector's Show at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall all day. This place was open later and affordable since our wallets took huge hits during the sun up hours. First off, customer service is TOP. NOTCH. Brittany was our hostess, server and Assistant Manager. The other wait staff also pitched in and service was fast, our food came out quickly and we were all very satisfied. Those chocolate overflow pancakes were more like a dessert and friggin' *chef's kiss*. Your usual breakfast fare, local grinds and some plate lunch meals are all found here. Their parking lot can get full depending on the time of day since it's not very large and is shared with other businesses and restaurants. You can troll a bit and wait. This place is loud!! Alot of chatter and sounds of people enjoying breakfast ....definetely a community place. The insides (pic) is of course airconditioned...its comfortable with padded booths...wooden chairs and tables. The staff is efficient and cool and the wait for food wasnt bad considering it was pretty busy. There was a sizable line of families and people waiting to get in throughout the entire time we was there. Dont know exactly the average wait time but I would guess about half and hour minimum at the breakfast hour. The menu (pic) has a pretty good selections ( even beyond burger patties). I went with their adobo fried rice...mostly lean pieces of tasty (not over seasoned) adobo ...some small pieces of fishcake....imo fried rice was a little bit bland (needed alot of shoyu) Eggs surprisingly bright and not very runny (prob sat on hot rice too long) ..others ordered the beyond burger patty alacarte (slightly burnt) But I guess thats acceptable (it aint meat) potatoes was good...another ordered eggs and bacon extra crispy (if asked dont say extra crispy for bacon here) can you say bacon crackers yikes!! Got here a little after 7:10am and got my table in less than a minute. I ordered the turkey locomoco substitute white rice for the fried rice, side order of assorted fruit bowls and a lilikoi iced tea beverage. Placed my order at about 7:17am. My order arrived at 7:39am. At first bite my meal was salty. Had to dash some pepper and tobasco to make it subtle. No one has checked on me until 7:53am when the waiter swung back to my table. At about 8:13am the waiter came by to hand over my check: $46.96. My meal was medium alright and the service was bland at best. I remember their very first hole-in-the-wall facility on Ena Rd. with lines winding around the corner. Somehow, Eggs dropped off from our radar, weary of too crowded a place which then morphed into too touristy/commercial... next thing you know years have flown by. Until now. We walked into their Ala Moana location to check out a generous promotion you don't see too often in today's high priced reality. As a thank you, Eggs 'n Things is celebrating 50 years in business by offering their original 1973 prices for 3 breakfast options at ($2.50 each!) for a limited period. Let's try THAT?!?! Our new post Covid attitude is to NEVER have high expectations for anyone. We have been so disappointed in all facets of goods and services, we can all share stories. We were wrong today! From opening their doors at 7:00am, they were efficient, organized and quick to seat the long line forming out front. We had the portuguese sausage, eggs, and rice for $2.50 each!! Side order keiki banana pancakes for $7.95. It was fresh quality, not overly greasy and promptly served. Did I mention the delicious coconut syrup that tasted like coconut and not chemicals? Went back this Christmas. Food was as good as ever BUT they seem to have a shortage of help or something. Place seemed less then 1/2 full but still had to wait over a half an hour to be seated. Not sure why we had to wait outside with so many empty tables. Some of the tables needed to be cleared. Place seemed so laid back. Service was very good once seated. Ease of online ordering was great, and my order was ready when I arrived. I enjoyed the strawberry Nutella mochi waffle when I had it at the Ko Olina location and wanted it again! Unfortunately my fault, I didn't check my bag before leaving. But it didn't come with whipped cream. My Ko Olina order did though.
