Well this has changed and only with a restaurant where every other people with M 45 minutes with 90 year old Intel but which was really weird like if it's Covid and they want to put separation by the service was complete trash the old me I didn't check on us I was there food was horrible. The eggs plastic service itself from the waiter was incomprehensible. He didn't check on his no napkins, no utensils we had asked multiple times for anything to drink and then at the end it was all in all army was $80. We gave a tip and he came running and left it on the table because we didn't know we had to pay at the at the front desk and he came running out so embarrassing to my car acting like we didn't pay why because we're local and Hawaiian I'm not sure but it was just ridiculous and completely embarrassing. Service was good, food was not. I haven't been to Eggs 'n Things since their original location. I remember the food being great, things have changed. I wanted Eggs Benedict so before ordering I asked the waiter how was their hollandaise? He said he recommended their special of the day which was something I didn't want. When the Benedict arrived before even tasting it I could tell it was a mix. When I shared with the waiter if he had told me it was a mix I wouldn't have ordered it. He said he didn't know. I sent it back and got the Kalbi and eggs scrambled soft. When that came the eggs were scrambled hard and the Kalbi had a lot of gristle although the sauce was good. Then the check came and I was charged for the Benedict. After talking with the manager it was taken off. read more

I really wanted to love this place, but it was just ok. It was a difficult decision, because the menu is large, with many choices, but with the waiter's recommendation, I chose the pork chop, and upgraded my side to fried rice. When my food arrived, it just felt like a small portion. I guess I expected more rice than 1 small scoop. The appearance was nice, with the grilled pineapple, but the pork chop IMO was dry and bland. Luckily, I used whatever sauce it was topped with, but nevertheless, DRY. The Tabasco came in little hard to open packets, which I suppose is more sanitary than a bottle, but it seemed to cheapen the experience. The iced tea was okay, but I wasn't offered any refill, so I just poured my water in to make my own "refill". I like their check in system, I could sit in my car while I waited for my text, then I was seated promptly. The waiter was efficient and attentive. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience, just not worth the price. I could have done AYCE lunch at Gen for less. read more

I have visited a couple of locations of Eggs 'n Things. This one is fine, I think a bit better than the express location on the Waikiki beach but not as good as the flagship location next to the post office. The service was attentive enough but not superlatively attentive. I tried a special of the day, crepes with dark cherries and cheesecake (that was how it was listed). I also asked to add whipped cream because that's one of the best things about Eggs 'n Things--the giant mound of whipped cream! However, I received crepes without cream and the"cheesecake" was just a vanilla sauce, not very cheesecake flavored at all. I will say there were many cherries in the crepe and that was tasty, but I think next time I'd just get my usual pancakes. My husband got an omelet and he said it was fine. I feel duped :( I was so excited for the crab cake benedict only to bite into it and find kamaboko/fish cake/imitation crab. It was super gummy and bland. PLEASE put on the menu if it is not real crab. I feel even more annoyed that it was so expensive $14 when imitation crab is so cheap. I will say they did the eggs and hollandaise good, which is why I have 3 stars, but the bland gummy mush underneath killed it. I came around 7:55am and although my friend was 2minutes away with lots of seating, I would not be seated until she arrived. There is a sign at the bottom of the podium, but who looks there. The hostess apologized and said it was policy. I had the special: mango waffle $12.99 with light whip. I was so excited for a light but crispy waffle, but alas, it was somewhat soggy. The mango was chopped and super cold making my waffle cold as well. It also did not taste fresh. The mango had a frozen, thawed taste. I was sorely disappointed. I ordered a side of house potatoes. They were inconsistent in size, with many burnt and too crisp to eat. My friend had the apple cinnamon for the same price. She had the apples on the side. It looked familiar like apple pie filling. Luckily, our waitress came often to refill the coffee that again was meh, but I was grateful she replenished. Overall the breakfast was a disappointment, not getting seated despite many tables open was a disappointment but the service was great. I'll stick to Café Kaila for waffles. read more

Wanted breakfast for dinner and I was so glad I stopped by because I was fully happy with the food and service I got from Eggs 'n Things. Located near the Ala Moana center next to Nijiya Market for Japanese products, Eggs n Things did not disappoint. I got the Ribeye Steak with the House Onion Rub seasoning, (I should've gotten sautéed onions and garlic) along with my Ribeye steak, over easy eggs and rice. But the flavoring of everything was so well balanced, I also ordered the Adobo fried rice with it to share. That was a kicker and the filler. I ate too much lol. But the fried rice was crunchy and flavorful, the adobo was pulled and tender, everything went well together. Breakfast for dinner did not disappoint, and the waiting staff was very quick and warming to our presence, made me think of coming back for dinner here again, and have breakfast. :) thumbs up. The place serves breakfast anytime of the day but also have lunch and dinner items like burgers and noodles, oxtail soup, salads, etc. but I love eating breakfast for dinner sometimes. Pleasantly surprised. Finally, after 10 years we finally had chance to try this place! We drove slowly to see if 1- there was parking and 2-was there a line. No wait! Maybe a little bit more rice would be appropriate for me, personally. *Blueberry pancakes. These were great, not typical. They had an almost crisp texture and lots of big lovely berries. Oddly plated though (see picture). *Iced tea. It was slightly flavored and delicious *Coffee. Horrible. Junk. I was desperate though, so I drank 2 cups. Come on guys, this is an easy fix. Our server just.....couldn't be bothered. I watched as they interacted with other tables. Sometimes cracking a smile, but mostly not. It was our first time visiting Hawaii and actually staying In Waikiki as we are usually on cruise ships since we love cruising. Our Local shuttle driver recommended we eat here for breakfast since we let her know we are big on food more then our actual vacation activities. We came here 5 out of 7 mornings on our trip each morning greeted by The very nice employees who we absolutely grew a bond with in no time. Reni, Ryan and Mi were just absolutely amazing and welcoming each time to us and the service is exceptional. The food is beyond a 5 star rating it is just so many amazing options to choose from so you really need to review the menu before hand so you can have a better idea of what to order go with what your guy tells you and you won't be let down. I personally loved the Loco Moco, Asian fried rice and eggs and oh my gosh the pancakes here are phenomenal. All the flavors are out of this world and the serving sizes are always enough for two people to share so you can both pick something different and try each other's foods out. Our whole entire experience here in hawaii and staying at the Hilton village we realized if you want to have amazing food you will have to leave the hotel and try out local spots were the Service is spectacular and the food is no comparison to anything you've had. We're huge breakfast fans...so right before work my husband & I had a breakfast date...without the kids of course. We were greeted with a friendly smile when we walked in and was seated right away. Which looked really good. But when I took my first bite into my omelette, it was really bland. The kalua tasted more like turkey than pig & it didn't have much of a smokey taste to it. The eggs were were sort of rubbery. I had to add salt, pepper & Tabasco. Unfortunately, it still tasted watery. As I manuevered through my omelette, I realized it was more spinach & tomato with a pinch, just a pinch of Kalua. Needless to say...my husband Crab Cake Benedict was phenomenal! The pancakes (which we shared) were fluffy & tasty. My husband loved the guava syrup & I went for the good old maple syrup. Overall, just because it's a special, it doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna be phenomenal. I should have stuck to my normal of spinach & bacon omelette instead. Our server was very attentive, consistently refilled our water & coffee cups. Not too fond of the phone in hand. Not sure if that's how they put their orders in...but it surely didn't look to professional, a tablet would be looked a little more legit. I honestly crave the macadamia pancakes. I also wanted to plantation pork chops so luckily you can get pancakes as a side! The pancakes were nice and fluffy and the pork chop was juicy and flavorful. Looking for something not to much for breakfast and within walking distance from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Surprised it wasn't a restaurant with wait service but we stayed anyway.
