This is one of my favorite traditional breakfast places. It is a pretty big tourist spot, but the food is good. It is hard to tell which days are going to be super crowded, but if you go early during the week you can probably get a table for breakfast. They aren't too big with dinner crowds that I've seen so you also have breakfast for dinner or regular dinner food. I have only had traditional breakfast foods here. The french toast is rich with a nice cinnamon flavor on thick, sweet Hawaiian bread. So good every time, and keep an eye out for their special french toasts as it changes daily. The veggie omelet is also really good and comes with potatoes, toast, or pancakes. The pancakes are always good! Their potatoes are also soooo good. They are nice and crisp and very flavorful. It can be a tough choice between the pancakes and the potatoes so I say just get both. You won't be disappointed. Maybe one day I will try food other than breakfast food, but why? There is a decent sized lot and the mall is right there so there is plenty of parking. Go early or after noon to avoid the tourist crowds as it can get quite loud. If you can't wait, there are usually a couple a spots at the bar to grab food quickly. read more

I usually get the crab eggs Benedict but I wanted to try something different. My husband got the omelette special which was perfect! This was my first time at Eggs 'n Things after it being popular for years. There was a wait so it took awhile to get in. I went here after surgery so I just opted for their acai bowl. I love acai bowls so I wanted to see how theirs would turn out. It was actually pretty good. I wouldn't mind ordering it again. They were pretty fast and the customer service was good. Delicious place for breakfast that's affordable! I came here with a party of 3 and was sat about 10-15 minutes upon arriving to Eggs 'n Things. It's usually busy during the weekend so I would take that in consideration. Once sat, our server was there to take our drink and food order. Since it's EGGS 'n things, I got the special they listed on the white board: Special Omelette with bacon, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and choice of cheese. It came with a side which I preferred getting the macadamia nut pancakes. Other entrees that were ordered: ham & eggs (delicious ham btw!), a huge tiki style bowl of fresh fruits (highly recommend) and a similar omelette minus the mushrooms. This place reminds me of a diner style vibe with booth seating, families, a bar area and just a lively atmosphere in the morning. They also sell coconut syrup, jams, etc on a shelf against the front window that you can purchase.Overall, good service, fresh fruits, delicious hearty omelette and a full belly. read more

Now, I'm not sure where your manager heard that I was "threatening to make horrible social media reviews" as when I called on 7/10/2021 that exchange did not happen, nor was I going to make that review had your management team done a better job of hearing me out. Can you tell me when she heard this? Was it during that phone call she was supposed to make to me on 7/12/2021 but never did? If that really happened you should have thrown that in during your initial response. Makes it a little more believable not like you're reaching. Not sure what investigation was done considering no one reached out to me until after my review was made and I had to reach out after being told I would be contacted within a couple day time period. Your arguments fall apart when you attempted to cover your tracks by defending your company in its lack of chlorine in its premises. During no time did I use the word chlorine so I fail to see how your investigation is accurate when you can make up accusations. Your phone records would also indicate that when I was contacted again by your company, it would show 3 days later 7/13/2021. Please explain why food in any instance would be kept for that long, especially when it was exhibiting signs of contamination? Your investigation has shown itself to be mediocre at best. read more

In-laws are locals and this is a place they go to so often, the wait staff greets them by asking if they are ordering the usual: ahi rare and veggie omelette with zucchini. They give both a 5. My Minnesota family, however, ordered Saimin with noodles (5), mango and macadamia nuts french toast (5), fried min (4) and portagese omelette (3). No crushed red pepper or siracha sauce, only Tabasco. I was tempted to knock my Saimin down to a 3 for that. Coffee mediocre, which is surprising for Hawaii and an established place like this. 30 min wait for a table.of six at noon. Waiter a 5, constant water and coffee refills. Lots of seating. Have been here scores of times over 25 years of my visiting Hawaii at least annually. In laws and my wife have been devouts since the mid-70's. Came here second time this trip for breakfast this morning. My family got different items, but my inlaws ordered the same thing as last time. Still awesome. I also love that the waiter used a smartphone to take our order, and repeated the entire thing correctly for our party of 7. read more

This place was pretty good. We came on a Sunday morning around 8:30 am. The line was not that bad, but we had to wait 20 minutes. When you look around the restaurant there were a lot of open tables. I don't know why they can't seat people a little faster is they are that popular. They also have a no outside drink rule. The food was good, and it came out pretty fast. We ordered the kalua pork Benedict and a side of pancakes and the breakfast wrap. They were both really good, and the portion was great! If the line was longer than 20 minutes though I don't know if I would wait. Would I go back here again? If there was no line definitely. If there was a wait then no thanks. You have to have a huge appetite to eat here. Prices are really reasonable. I had the corn beef hash with 2 eggs and comes with 3 pancakes (or rice, fried potatoes). The strawberry pancakes are 5 huge pieces with fresh strawberries covered with powdered sugar. Did not have the whip cream. Syrups are maple, coconut or guava. Tried all three. Yummy! read more

I have to eat a bit of crow here. When I originally tried it when they first opened this location, I was NOT a fan. I thought the food was mediocre at best and that it was a complete aural assault on one's ears. I could not understand the lines for this place. We actually stopped here out of necessity. I had foolishly thought that the stores at Ala Moana opened at 9. Wrong. So we decided to get some breakfast first. This place was close by and open so reluctantly, I agreed. We did have to wait about 15 minutes, which is right on the borderline for me. While it was still a cacophony of clanging silverware and loud conversations, it wasn't completely packed so the volume was tolerable. I ordered the Vegetarian Omelette with egg whites and pancakes. The food arrived quickly and I was surprised by the clean flavors and authenticity of the food. The veggies were lightly sauteed and the egg whites seemed to be fresh egg whites rather than from a carton. Now I could be wrong about the egg whites. But the egg whites I use at home come from Costco and by themselves, taste like white sponges soaked in water. These here had the taste and consistency of fresh egg whites. I really enjoyed that. I also enjoyed my side of pancakes. It was a large stack of 3 pancakes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Just the way I like my pancakes. So here I am, with my mouthful of crow saying I would definitely come back. Would I wait an hour? No. But I would wait 15 minutes...dare I say, 20 even? read more

We went here last week Saturday night and we waited outside to be turned away and treated badly because 1 of our 14 guests were not present. Scrambled eggs looked like cow patties. Very unappealing and didn't taste good. I could only manage one bite. Couldn't eat such unappealing food. This used to be a good place for breakfast.
