We placed our order and the person behind the counter yelled out to let us know that it was ready. She put the bag on the counter by the check out because we were making coffee. A few minutes later the server passed us the second half of our order missing a side of butter. We asked for it and he argued that he had already set it in the counter with the first bagel and that we already had it, which we did not. We went and sat down and gave up on getting our side of butter. The manager came out and inspected our table to make sure were went hiding the side of butter before he remade it. The food was good but the service wasn't great. Impersonal and unfriendly. For the prices charged, you expect great, friendly service. This place doesn't deliver. Also forgot to mention, we were there for an hour, they never wiped down tables or tidied up. I have attached a photo of a mess left on a table and chair that was there the whole time we were there. Ordered To-Go off the app, pay $7 for a drink to have the toppings left off. When ask for them, the manager on the bagel side asked the "manager" (Kristi) at the register to put them on for me. This "manager" (Kristi) brings a can of whipped cream, puts it INSIDE the lid and proceeds to fill the entire lid with it. When I ask for the caramel sauce that should be on top also, she proceeds to tell me "we don't do that here" getting short and incredibly snippy with me. This being the FIRST interaction I have had with her, I pull up THEIR app and show her exactly what I ordered. Then...she asks even more snippy and rude how do I want her to put it in there and WALKS OFF!! The employee who heard the whole thing comes over, takes my drink, looks at it shaking her head throwing it away, and makes it correctly. I asked her to speak to the manager, come to find out - she is one of the managers and the other snippy and rude employee - KRISTI is one also. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, this interaction was extremely unacceptable to have with a "manager" and the WORST customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. Sure, the manager who made it right was great, the other snippy rude "manager" sadly overshadows the good she did. From other reviews I read, I am not alone with being treated poorly by the same manager. All the responses have been from a rep who clearly hasn't made the location any better form months/year of bad reviews on this same manager. This horrible manager needs to be replaced! Extremely rude staff, very unwelcoming environment- I have never experienced such an insulting interaction at a restaurant. There were 2 people with my name and I got the wrong bagel, when I realized it wasn't mine and returned back to the store to get my correct order they were so annoyed and outdone that I took the wrong bagel- THEN the employee who had to "redo" my $8 bagel screamed my name at the top of her lungs. Came to the Windward Parkway location specifically to get seasonal type of bagels and cream cheese (pumpkin). Were advised that they were not yet available, which was fine and fully understood. Decided to order a coffee while we were there. Approximately 10 minutes after ordering the coffee and while waiting for it, we were rudely asked to move away from the counter and on to the carpet so that we weren't holding up the line. There were literally 2 people behind us who had not even made their way to the register. 15 minutes after ordering we did finally get our coffee. While waiting for our one coffee, I did observe two other parties who had to engage staff as there were problems with their order. Have been to other Einstein locations that offer better service and with less attitude. Stay away from this one. read more

This place is just not worth stopping. Their bagels are mediocre and their service is last in class. I have only been here twice, once about a year ago where we waited for around 10 minutes for literally a toasted bagel with cream cheese. This visit was to see if things had changed and they seemed to be even worse. I walked in, should have noticed the crowd of people waiting on their orders but didnt and went ahead and ordered a couple bagels and a breakfast bagel sandwich. Proceeded to wait for 10-15 minutes for the order, got down the road and realized that the bfast sandwich was missing the meat but could not stomach the idea of going back in there and waiting even longer for this type of food. I ordered a bagel and a cold brew shake. The lady taking my order made a regular cold brew and upon receiving it I told her I ordered the shake. She proceeded to tell me that that wasn't what I ordered (I have never had a cold brew and never intended on having one). I expected her to make the drink I originally ordered as this was not what I asked for nor paid for. She told me again that it wasn't what I ordered and told me I would have to pay for the shake that I wanted the first time. I was shocked that she would make me pay an additional $5 instead of taking the difference from the drink she made incorrectly the first time. I don't write reviews, I think it's usually just dramatic. but people need to know how freaking terrible this Einstein's Bros location is. We LOVE Eisnsteins. Always have, always happy with our food and coffee. Our food took probably 15-20 minutes to be ready and they weren't busy. We ordered egg bagel sandwiches and they were legitimately cold, the cheese wasn't melted, and my bagel was falling apart and soaked from the shmear. Our boys ordered simple bagels toasted with cream cheese and they were also cold and hard from being toasted and then cooled by the time we received them. It was actually impressive how terrible our food tasted, considering how much we know we love it from all of our previous experiences over the years. I'm sorry to write such harsh things but I would have liked to know before hand considering we were really looking forward to our food because we hadn't had Einstein's in a long time. So maybe this review will save someone from the same disappointment we experienced. read more

The only reason why they are getting 3 stars from me and not 0 is because the bagels are decent (for a southerner) and the customer service is normally friendly and very nice. The morning crowd doesn't really bother anyone, and the staff normally remembers your name if you come in often. Today I came in and this girl with long hair that had blue in it was insanely rude. I walked to the bathroom and the door said vacant which means its not locked (the bathroom is single stalled). This girl is in the bathroom in the mirror and turns around and gave me a look like I was insane. She than walks out five minuets later never washing her hands ( I was outside the door, I listened, it didnt happen)..... GROSS! She proceeds to be clocking herself in as I am checking my food out at the second counter and her coworker who says hi to her she just glares at right in front of me and a group of other customers. Toasting a bagel shouldn't be hard but at this location it's apparently rocket science. There was no one else in line and it took 10 mins to cut and put a bagel in the toaster and the amount of spread was an insult. After biting into it, I realized half of the spread came out because the bagel was so chewy, I had to rip at it like a hungry animal. And the service was laughable. It must be nice to work in a a place when you can tell customers you are closed before your posted hours. There were bagels in the bins and was told when I talked in that they were already closed. It was 1:52 and they close at 2 pm. Remind you-there were bagels in the bins and people in there eating. They turned away me and two others. I'm sure management would love to know they turn away customer before their stated closed hours as well as not selling the bagels that are in the bins that will go to waste. My wife and I dropped in for a quick breakfast. The bagels were average and they have decent toppings. My wife wanted a churro type of sweet which she had gotten here in the past. The only item they had was slobbered in frosting. The cinnamon cupcake she got was so sweet it was almost inedible. But, the reason I won't be back is that they no longer offer sweet tea. I asked for it and was given the option of three flavored teas. And, was told they could put honey in them. I said, I'll just go with a Coke, but recommend that they change their policy. Every time I go in there they seem to be unbelievably disorganized. It takes an excessive amount of time for them to get around to taking your router and then to prepare your order. Had a dad and daughter breakfast here. I had the Green chilies bagel with Jalapeno Salsa cream cheese, my 10 year old had a plain with strawberry cream cheese. Service is always okay here.
