Yeah disgusting bathrooms. The women's restroom light was out I proceeded to notify the staff and they proceeded to ignore it. The bagels are good. The service not so much. They need to work on their customer service and their sanitation. Those restrooms are not kept well and pretty dirty. Would give zero stars if possible. Got home with my Bagel Dog only to see the bagel was moldy. How the manager, who put this order together, did not see it is impossible to fathom. He must have. Raises many questions about how long they keep these things around. Also, no bananas for a bananna/strawberry smoothie. No bagel poppers. Saw the cashier yell at a preganant woman and her kid for not ordering their drink correctly. Have been coming here off and on for 8 years. Service and food has had its ups and downs. Personally I love the coffee, but the food is not edible. All processed in some plant somewhere in the us and shipped around the county. Heated up and served to you here. Awful. Fist of all the bagel here is not a bagel. This is a roll with toppings on it. A real bagel is water boiled first and then placed in a oven for cooking. These are just flour which comes to each store and is heated up and served to you. Awful. The toppings as well are mass produced and don't taste good. I know a lot of you like this place and all I can think is that you have not had a real bagel. If you want to try a real NY style bagel read my review of The Hot Bagel Shop and then drive there and enjoy. You wont go back to this place ever again. I came here to this location yesterday at 4pm and the doors were locked and saw time sign and saw that they put a 3 over the 5 because online it said they closed at 5pm and I remembered always that they closed at 5p so was disappointed when I drove all the way over there. By the way I have already done that and to this day received no response. But thanks once again for. Blowing me off and showing 0 concern. It's obvious this location has changed ownership and lost its ability to care about its customers. Next time might I suggest you just not respond or if you choose to respond contact the customer yourself and not refer them to another unmanaged nationwide website that does not even respond except with generic responses saying they received your concern and then hear from them again doing so just shows you could give a crappy and don't want to deal with any issues at your location . I'm only giving this location a 2 star because I really like their smears. But what really gets me is that they only have 2 workers in the front in the morning! Now when you have breakfast menu in the morning especially bagels in the morning of course there is bound to have a lot customers. There was a line out the door waiting for someone to take the orders, to pay, and waiting for the food but no one there. There were only two employees heating up food and toasting the bagels. Now I've been to this location at 2:30 pm right before it closes and there are no people but lot of employees doing nothing. Does that make sense?? They need to think about switching the employees to come in the morning rather than in the afternoon so the line can go by fast. In the end after waiting for 8 mins with the line not moving and employees still heating the food up I just left. They need to do better here read more

So first time bagel tryer, and have to say I was not disappointed. The people were courteous and kind, and didn't mind that I was totally confused on what to get. I decided on the turkey lunch bagel and let the gentlemen choose my bagel and have to say the sesame one is amazing :). The broccoli cheddar soup was good and chai latte delightful. I had to get on Yelp just to write about this Einstein location. I agree, the people are not friendly....they use to be when I started eating here 10 years ago. Now it has changed. It always feels dirty. This morning I was in there at 6:00am....trash all over the floor. Every time I go in, there is trash on the floor and the tables have crumbs. Me and my friend had been wanting to try this place for the longest time and it was great! I wasn't sure if i wanted to put filling in my bagel or not, so the lady just gave it to me for free! The manager also gave us one of their new kinds of bagel for free! We tried the honey vanilla latte and i definitely recommend. Choose this for breakfast!! The chorizo sunrise is the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. Each time I go in the staff is very friendly and the food never disappoints. Coffee is great, vanilla latte is just as good (if not better) than Starbucks. I have to commend the management as well, today when I went after I ordered they told me their computer system was down and they weren't accepting credit cards. As I freaked out inside because I never carry cash she proceeded to let me know that it was their issue and there was no charge for my meal. Being a city girl every morning my breakfast would consist of a bagel with cream cheese and a hot chocolate (not the healthiest breakfast but so yummy!)bought either from a street vendor or from one of the many bakeries in NYC. I was talking to a friend the other day of how much I missed NY bagels and he told me I should try Einstein's. Well this morning on my way to work I decided to go in and finally give Einstein's a try, boy was I happy I did! As soon as I walked in the door I felt I was in bagel heaven. Even though it was early and the place was very crowded, the girl at the counter was very friendly, she had a big smile on her face and greeted me as if she was truly happy I had decided to walk in :-) I wanted to try everything in the menu, but unfortunately I didn't think my stomach could take so much in one sitting. I finally settled, thanks to the girl's (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) suggestion on a toasted bagel with melted mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, and ham,, and a small fruit salad (I said no to the pickle!). To say that it was delicious is an understatement! I had been to Panera Bead and some other bakeries here in Houston, but as of today I'm an Einstein's bagel kinda girl! read more

WORST. CATERING EXPERIENCE. EVER. My company ordered EBB catering for a breakfast meeting. I handle our catering decisions, so I've dealt with tons of different caterers prior to this. I realize we're not getting waiter service, etc. when ordering from a place within this price range, but nonetheless, we are still paying for some sort of service. Typically, caterers enter our 25 story building, come to the security desk on the 1st floor and have the guard call the orderer to come down and meet the caterer to head to the meeting location. On the day we ordered EBB, I got the call and immediately headed to the elevator. The trip down took me maybe 1.5-2 minutes. I arrive downstairs and see someone who I assumed to be the caterer heading towards the entrance of our building from a car out front with a dish in hand, so I head to the door to open it for them. I asked if they were from EBB (WARNING: be careful when asking this seemingly innocent question, as it invoked much eye rolling and lip smacking...still trying to figure that part out) and got an "mmhmm" and the dish got handed off to me right there outside. Without so much as a thank you, the caterer got back in his car and left (but not before a few more eye rolls...). I stood there in front of the building holding a fruit salad and wondering what the hell just happened. I went back inside and discovered the rest of our very large order piled on the floor in front of the security desk. The meeting was on the bsaement level of our building, and I actually had to get help from our meeting attendees in carrying and setting up our order. There were several boxes and bags (unmarked), and since the caterer couldn't be bothered to stay another second to even review the order with me, we had to figure out where everything was and sort it out ourselves. Like I said, I've dealt with lots of caterers before, and I know what to expect. We are paying for a service, not coming into your personal home and inconveniencing you, so don't act like it! This was all really unfortunate, especially seeing as how I've had nothing but positive experiences with EBB prior to this. From now on, I will stick to my friendly neighborhood Montrose location where the folks are always welcoming and the food is always on point....shame on you, Memorial! read more

I hate to give Einsteins 2 stars but the service is underwhelming at best. I admit the service has improved over the past month, but still isn't the best. I come here quite frequently, a couple times a month, and I always feel unwelcome when I walk in the door. There's never a line around the time I come, the longest has been 3 people in front of me. Yet somehow they always seem to take their time for a simple order of bagel with cream cheese. One time I literally was the only person in line waiting to order and there were FOUR people behind the counter. It seemed as if they were trying to see how long they could get away without taking my order. I'm sorry I bothered you with my money.. Terrible terrible service. Only had 3 people working..2 making the bagles/putting the order together and 1 person who was the cashier AND making the drinks. You don't put in your order under the sign that says 'order here'..you wait until you get to the cashier and they will take your order. If anyone orders a drink the cashier will stop taking orders/payments to make the drinks..Usually, in the morning when people come in to grab breakfast they need/want quick service..they need to be in/out so they can get to work or wherever they need to be! read more

Agree with David who left a review about an hour ago -this was my worst experience here ever -they are disorganized and its chaos. people are standing around waiting for 30 or more for two bagels- not bagel sandwiches -just bagels to go. it's ridiculous. I paid over $7 for my breakfast sandwich, waited 30 minutes and it arrived with have like two minuscule pieces of bacon and a tiny slice of cheese. The eggs were delicious on my sandwich and the bagel was fresh but the other ingredients were skimped on. Taking David's lead I think I will contact the district manager to see if they can get some more/ better employees in here -it's overrun with customers and the servers/ workers can't handle it.
