It had been awhile since I ate Einstein and decided to visit this location since my son was hungry. The parking lot has plenty of space and a small dining area with a lot of stool and high table tops. The employees were busy and the cashier was very friendly. There were people coming in consistently but the wait time was short. I got a cinnamon muffin and Nova Lox on an Asiago bagel. My son didn't enjoy the muffin as much as I thought he would but did like my bagel with the cream cheese filling. I ended up taking out the tomato and onion because it was way too thick. It was double the thickness of the lox. The sandwich toppings just didn't blend well together. Unfortunately, it wasn't as enjoyable as I remember from years ago.

I hadn't been to this Einstein Bagel location in years since I don't frequent the Rice Village area as much as I used to (because they jacked up the parking and charge for almost every surface lot parking spot). I was in the mood for a solid breakfast bagel and happened to pick up the Texas Brisket Breakfast Bagel around lunch time on a Saturday. I must say - it was quite delicious. Einstein has always been a top bagel joint, so adding brisket and egg to that made for an exciting party in my mouth. But the $10 price tag was a bit steep. The parking can be tight at times but it wasn't bad when I visited. And while the service was a bit slow (we did a mobile order ahead of time and waited an additional 5 minutes after arriving), the staff was pleasant. We dined in and had he seated was generally empty and relatively clean. The worst part of the experience was getting back on Kirby Dr to get to 59, but that's not really the restaurant's fault. Just too many cars on a Saturday afternoon and unnecessarily long red lights. Give Einstein Bagel a try if it's been a while. And splurge on a breakfast bagel meal to see what you've been missing.

Honestly, Einstein Bagel's has some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Each sandwich is packed with flavor, and I'm always satisfied This location is a little older, but it's conveniently located near Rice Village and not too far from Greenway, just off Kirby. The space is relatively clean, and the staff were friendly. I put in a to go order, and my order was ready upon arrival sitting in the pick up area Some tips: Join their rewards to get special deals in the app. Every birthday I redeem my birthday breakfast sandwich. You have to make a purchase but a bagel (a la cart), a coffee, or doggy bagels are inexpensive and you could just purchase those. I recommend the chorizo sunrise sandwich, and my dog definitely recommends the doggy bagels Cheers!!

I was getting my hair done at a salon in Houston, so of course I had to leave 2 hours to get there. The gps said it was going to be an hour to get there ... but what about the horrible Houston traffic at 9:00 am????? Needless to say I made it this time with little difficulty and right around the corner from the salon was this place and... who doesn't love bagels??? I got the farmhouse bagel. It was an egg, Thick-Cut Bacon, Smoked Ham, Cheddar Cheese with Country Pepper Shmear on a Cheesy Hash Brown Gourmet Bagel. It had great flavor and was very filling. The country pepper shmear was a bit much. There was so much on it that all of the stuff inside the bagel fell out and it made it hard to eat. With that being said it was still good. I sat outside and watched the wonderful Houston traffic while I finished my Caramel macchiato.

Bagels overdone and hard. I had to throw them out as no one would eat them. Stuff unfriendly.

06APR2025: after delivering my much better half to Hobby Airport, I took a "shortcut" back toward our apartment, but enjoyed a delicious brekkie at this GREAT ADA-compliant Einstein Brothers Bagel shop [5300 Kirby, HoustonTX 77005 USA; 713.322.2097; einsteinbros.com] immediately before settling back into a few days bachelorhood. It was so fantastic to feel so warmly welcomed--fantastic staff and the heady scent of superior coffee! While there wasn't any question about the lovely dark liquid, I did have a small quandary concerning the brekkie bagel--the numerous choices meant another early morning decision [my "shortcut" was confused by too many same-named streets ("Rice", "College") often distant from each other!], but was quickly decided upon the chorizo bagel! The dark roast coffee for me was a no-brainer, but the value was exponentially increased when I added some ice, making the HOT fluid instantly drinkable! Yea, this was the PERFECT way to continue my Sunday early morning, and it definitely has my coveted "iWheel of Approval!" I highly recommend this coffeehouse for everybody‼

This location is not the cleanest, I think mostly since most people come and go through the location but the staff was nice and my lox bagel came out quickly. Much like many others, I got my food and left. I was planning on eating there until I saw the state of their dining area. Tables were dirty and it just looked a bit run down. My bagel was very good and would recommend their lox bagel!

I loveeee this place! so much!! i've stopped by here in the morning and doordash from here all the time! the bagels are always delicious, decadent, warm, toasty, perfect. supper quick and nice service too! maybe one weekend i hope to actually sit and eat here, not just go inside to order to go because it is sooooo cozy and clean inside from what i've seen

    Ham and Swiss Egg Sandwich
    Ethan T.

Needed a quick bite for breakfast after the gym and this place was nearby! Placed a takeout order on the app and it was ready by the time we arrived only a few minutes later. The ham and Swiss bagel sandwich I got was pretty good. The bagel was toasted nicely but the insides of the sandwich themself felt a little artificial or low quality to me. It was still a very satisfying decent breakfast and is very consistent with the other times I have gotten einsteins. If you need a quick, decent breakfast that will be super consistent then Einstein Bros. Bagels is a solid option.

    Iced Coffee
    Annie B.

Decent coffee and food, the line can get pretty long on the weekends and the seating area is crowded, cramped, and a bit dirty though which is unfortunate. Be prepared to have to clean your table from others trash and crumbs if you want to sit down and eat. The other con is the parking, it's pretty small and crowded so navigating in and out can get difficult when it's busy.

The worst bagel bacon and egg breakfast sandwich in Houston. Bacon was 2" long and you could read the news paper thru it.

Wow! Just... wow…read more Loved this place from the moment I walked in! Ambiance was super fun and welcoming. The tubs of ice filled with cold drinks all around as you approach the counter was casual and fun. And the staff was welcoming and friendly. The menu had so much variety, without being overwhelming. Anything from a good pazole, to a brisket Rueben, to an American Italian sandwich! I got the báhn mì sandwich, which was bursting with flavor! The pork was seasoned well and had good flavor from the marinade. The cilantro, pickled onions, jalapeno, all were so fresh and vibrant! And I was able to get homemade chips and fresh strawberries as my side - such a refreshing bite the strawberries after a rich, porky, spicy bite from the sandwich. Can't say enough good! Loved this place and would go back in a heartbeat!

Before their recent expansions to Austin, it all began here in Rice Village exactly 15 years ago. The vibes are contemporary and casual, with the kind of space that fits for just about any scenario. Whether it's a solo meal, a lunch date, or a group led affair, the experience is almost always an excellent one. Start by ordering at the counter and find a seat where the food will brought directly to the table. So much of their variety caters to all sorts of dietary restrictions from vegan to gluten free to nut free. Their spicy crispy brussels sprouts ($10) are a nice starter, as is the squash "onion" rings ($12). The local power bowl ($16) is a classic and I've always enjoyed the brown rice and quinoa combo. Their chicken "posolé" is solid, and I love the large hominy bits along with the clear but green tint of a broth. The chicken shawarma bowl ($20) is an interesting mix that includes pickled beets and strawberries, along with their market cheddar burger ($17) and fabulous twice cooked fries. The carrot cupcake is strangely addicting, and I think their gluten free brownie is a bit of a sleeper. Some of their items didn't jive with me previously, such as an underwhelming cashew queso ($9), a semi-laughable Vietnamese steak bowl ($22), and their semi-gringo version of a banh mi ($15). It's not that these items are bad per se, but they definitely don't live up to the same standard that I feel their other dishes do best. Where they hit the biggest home run is their customer service. Everyone working behind the counter does their best to deliver and they almost always do by staying on top of refills, cleanups, and customer greets. I've always enjoyed my experiences here and look forward to every visit.

It was middle of week and a group of friends and I had a movie we were headed to, but wanted to eat first. We decided to come here, and walked in to what felt like a very cool little shop in a town somewhere in Italy! Wine decorates the walls, and you can smell all the fresh dough and breads that's bein made. We grabbed a table and perused the menu. One of my friends and I decided that we would get two sandwiches and split, so that we could try more than one item. We went with the the Crudo (prosciutto sandwich), Nonna (mortadella sandwich), and the Pollo Milanese (chicken cutlet). They were both delicious, but I think the Nonna was my fave bc the cutlet was crispy and seaonsed well, and even when I ate my leftovers the next day, it was super good. The dough was fresh and delicious, light, and airy, and I just couldn't stop eating it. Some of our other friends ordered a pizza and the arancetti, and both of those were good as well. The pizza, whatever they're doing with their dough just works! IT was super tasty, quite big servings, and easy to share with 2-3 people. As we were wrapping oup our meal, since it is World Cup, they pulled out a huge tv to turn on, so that was fun to watch the game, eat, and feel like we were having an italian style meal. Looking forward to coming back and trying some other sandos, pizza and their pasta!
