I was in a time crunch and Einstein Bagels happened to be my closest breakfast option, so I decided to go in and give there lox and bagel a try. I have been to Einstein in the past and my experience has been ok - slow service is what makes my prior opinions more negative than positive. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience at all. First, the order line was not moving efficiently at all, particularly compared to other local competition in which I have been in far longer lines. Secondly, there bagel selection was very picked over - they were out of just about everything at 9:30am on a Sunday. Thirdly, after I placed my order, I waited for about 20mins before my food was served to me and they messed up my order (at this point I was just ready to get out of here, so I just took what I got and left). I might have cut them some slack if it was extremely busy, but honestly, it wasn't. On a positive note, the Lox was actually very good quality and for this type of bagel "sandwich," I liked that the bagel itself had a softer and lighter texture. With that said, service does matter to me and Einstein Bagels really failed in that area. read more

Tasty, but I cannot understand why they cannot deliver on their product quantity. You have to get to the stores when they open to get your choice of bagels. No sense even going since they run out of most bagels in the middle of the day. With so many choices to eat in Houston, I would rather go elsewhere if I am expected to be on their watch; and they aren't all that. Do not come to this Einstein's. They are very slow and not friendly. The woman taking our order was very rude. In addition, they were out of hash browns and almost every bagel. When our order was finally ready, our bagels and eggs were cold. This Einstein's needs to do better with their customer service and ensuring they're stocked for a Saturday morning. Usually patronize the Montrose location but decided to give this place a try for the last 3 months because it's closer to my gym and nothing has changed. I usually give a place a few tries just to make sure it's not an "off" day but unfortunately this place gets a . 50% of the time I have to go back home immediately after leaving this place to heat up my own bagels, orders come out with the wrong schmear and the morning staff seems to fall short of understanding and communicating accuracy. Even in the past when I have constantly repeated my small simple orders of 1-2 items, I get attitude back like I am the one who doesn't get the order correct?!?!? i called ahead for gift card and they said they have available. i came in to make a purchase but their system cannot ring up the any gift card purchase. they refer me to another store on weslayan but that store ran out of physical gift card. i then want to purchase a blueberries bagel. which s there is none on hand. this is lunch time they barely had any bagel for sale. so sad read more

This place is kind of go in between, One time you have a very nice cashier with a great service, other time you have a grumpy cashier with one of the worst service ever, there bagels are always my favorite, even though sometimes they run out of a lot of things and you have a very minimal options. I went here randomly this morning because I was so tired of stopping at my traditional breakfast places. I ordered the cinnamon toast egg and bacon bagel it was delicious. Fresh made to order they were slightly busy but I didn't wait long. There is no drive thru for all of you in a rush but it's worth going inside. Plenty of drink options too which I am a fan of. Iced coffee, 4 types of brewed coffee, juice, lemonade, and also green tee! Definitely will be stopping here again. read more

Location: super small parking lot that is very awkward to get into and is off of Kirby which is very busy. Ambience: 50/50 for to go and staying to eat. Restroom: not very clean and the toilets do not flush properly. Agree with Linda N.'s review, not really that clean. Service: Not really friendly but was pretty prompt. I get coupons via e-mail and I had to explain what the coupons meant because the associate wasn't going to honor the coupon I had. He refused before he even read the coupon. I made him read it and then he honored it because he was wrong. Low points for that. Fairly fast for as much traffic as they get. Food: bagels were expensive...I think that panera and hot bagel shop have better bagels, plus panera has a frequent buyer card that you can earn goodies with. I had the Turkey Green Chili Panini which was a decent size and tasted okay. The green chili was needed to spice up the flavor as the egg tasted like fake eggs. read more

Two stars because the bagels are really good -- fresh and just right mixture of chewy and soft, with a little bit of a crust and great flavor. ONLY two stars because the place is very poorly run. Slow, inefficient, dirty-looking. Crumbs and dust and little bits of trash scattered throughout. Often there are four people behind the counter, yet it always takes too long. First time coming to this location. This was probably the worst and slowest customer service I have ever experienced at Einstein. The person behind the counter didn't even tell me to go to the cashier to order under the sign "pay here". Usually we order with the person handling the food then go pay at the cashier... Well that's from my previous experience at another location. Next up, the cashier with long fake nails was grumpy and had a slight attitude. Customers would say thank you but they would just ignore the comments. I get it, it's early in the morning but why you gotta be so rude? Horrible experience there this morning! I downloaded the app for the first time today and was pleased to see that through the app I could receive my order curbside. I pulled into the curbside space and Called the restaurant at 11:27 to get my order. I cleaned my car out and don't have a mask, I also had 3 small children in the car. The rude lady who answered the phone let me know that it would be completely fine for me to come in with no mask on and grab my own food. I informed her that i didn't have a mask and asked politely if it could be walked out the 10 feet to my car for safety. "Ma'am it's right here by the door, just come grab it!" Yeah. I did. And never again will I be back. The company just lost a patron that fast! Disgusted! Deleting the app and letting everyone know that this employee was willing to risk everyone's health in the establishment because she didn't want to take the extra step to ask anyone to run out the food to the curbside spot because I ordered online. Our recent visit here reminded me that it's the employees who can take a busy crazy rush spell and make the most of it. The attitudes of the employees were ones that made us not want to be there. I got in the long line again because the cashier told me they just had new plain fresh bagels that came out of the oven and it would be a few minutes for them to be ready. When I got back to the register, another employee told her no. I don't get it. When I asked why, she kept muttering something and then finally snapped and told me just pick something else. When I asked what they had, she kept muttering. I gave up and just said a random kind and then she nodded and put it in the toaster. The pretzel dog was stale and the coffee ran out. The lady didn't even call a name when our bagel was ready. I just guessed. I'm sure it might be better on a different day, but new employees are needed. More like a different manager. read more
