My friend and I stopped in for a quick bite. We both ordered the California lox. I had an everything bagel with my lox bagel. The bagel itself was good, soft not doughy. The lox was interesting, with not much flavor. The cream cheese was.. oh was there cream cheese? The spread was so thin, practically a smear. The CA lox comes with pickled cucumber that was so overpowering, I couldn't taste the seasons on everything bagel or the avocado. There was avocado, right? The place is small with both inside seating and outside patio. It's also open to Peet's coffee. Parking is 90 mins free w/ validation in their shared lot. Staff are nice, and friendly. Maybe come for the coffee and bagels, but not for specialty sandwiches. read more

I've been coming here for years. But it's only been in recent months that I feel like I have to double check or pay attention to how they are charging me. Especially with the new rewards system that rolled out. Free coffee rewards? Not if they order it in the system as part of a meal. Have a reward for any size drop coffee for $1.00? Oh well. Still charged $2.69. And when I pointed that out, I was refunded $1.00. I ordered hash browns and at the second register decided to confirm to make both sandwiches a meal with the coffee and OJ.. Nope. Out of hashbrowns. Wait. Why didn't he say that at the other register? Ok.. One rep suggested to offer a different side, but they didn't hear him. And so the initial person who input the order in had to be the one to change it. So he did. But the register didn't show any changes. So the manager came over and put in a $2.00 discount, ($1.00 for each of the 2 hashbrowns). So no meal with a different side offered. No savings with the sides I had already had in my order that could have substituted as a side, and therefore could have saved at least a little on my order. So I opted to use some of my rewards to use for a free sandwhich to help lower my bill, which thankfully deducted $7.79... So the 2 croissant sandwiches with 2 eggs, a large coffee that should have only been $1.00, 2 yogurt parfaits, a fruit cup and an OJ, would have been $28 and some change. But the free sandwich rewards brought it down to $21.35, and the refund that should have been $1.69, but was only given $1.00, after all that, brought it to a grand total of $20.35. Honestly, I'm not sure I'm coming back here again after all this. At least for awhile. Especially when it obviously doesn't matter if I can catch mistakes as they happen or even relatively quickly after. As a customer, I feel like I received the short end of the stick. And benefits and rewards are like Russian roulette, I keep dodging the rewards like bullets. So that's the last time I come here for awhile. Since my rewards haven't been rewards and the added stress of feeling like it just be easier for me to order it myself than to double and triple check what they do and how they do it, knowing it's not going to get fixed even if I do catch it anyway... There are so many other options available in the area to choose from. Many other small local businesses that go out of their way to provide the customer with the ultimate patronage experience, that when they walk away, they truly feel appreciated, and the service received was not just great quality but of over all great value in general. There's nothing like supporting small businesses. I'm skipping thiscorporate production line for awhile. 7/2/2019: update. Ok. I just had to go back. And I've gone back twice since the negative review above.. And I'm happy to say it went much better. Staff was attentive and paid good attention to the order. Nothing was left out, mixed up or over charged. I was actually very pleased this time around. I'm still not adding another star though. The problem now is that they always run out of their hash brown bites, fresh squeezed OJ, fruit cups and yogurt. And I've yet to try those hash brown bites. Not real stocked some days. I got half dozen bagels plus one shmear for $6 coupon. I went in on Friday to purchase 6 bagels. The labels were placed incorrectly so I pointed out to old multigrain bagel when I tried to order honey wheat. When I realized I got the "wrong" kind bagels, manager got involved. I was going to just take the "wrong" kind. Mgr offered three extra, the right kind, and said it's on her. I ended up getting 9 bagels + cream cheese for just six bucks. Good customer service here and this is house all business should run! The lady running this place is such a rude frustrated old hag...1st, she is blocking the line carrying on with some grandpa she is making time with - keeping the customers blocked from the register. Then when the snickerdoodle I ordered was hard as a rock, I told them to take it off the bill which she rolled her eyes and was talking crap and snatched the cookie off the counter as if to throw it. Came here on New Year's day, there's parking in the back lot. I ordered the lox and jalapeno bagel. It was delish, the bagel was fresh and perfect, it was fluffy and chewy and crisp from the toasted edges. They added red onions, capers, cream cheese and lox. The lox was so amazing not too salty and everything was a perfect combination. Got the hazel vanilla coffee and it was fresh and hot. The store was clean and the staff were friendly and quick. read more

Second, I gave up on purchasing "Noah's Bagels" at Costco because their quality disappeared - they're consistent - but consistently mushy and flavorless. And I am a fan of Einstein's; it shares space with Peet's Coffee - isn't this the description of heaven? The manager is a charming woman who regularly chats with customers. I went in on a Tuesday to see which was their discount day - it was Monday. But she gave me the discount anyway. Make that four and a half stars! read more

I hate writing these reviews, but this time I've had it. It's hard to pass up coming here since they're right next to Peet's, but majority of the time my order is incorrect. I usually order a bagel with plain cream cheese and one topping, sometimes cucumber slices or jalapeño slices. One time I got it without any cream cheese and just cucumber. Majority of their mistakes, they forget the topping altogether. Today, I wanted a green chile bagel with cream cheese, and extra jalapeños. I even corrected her because she thought I meant jalapeño shmear. And guess what I got, a green chile bagel with extra jalapeño shmear. I come in the midst of the morning rush and sometimes don't have the time to double check the order. But do I need to? Like, do I need to, every time? I'm there 5xs a week! Great Bagels! The order came quick, the Bagels fresh and super soft, the spread delicious, and the blueberry muffin delish!

Even though there was only one employee working on what was a terribly busy time, that employee rocked it. The manager was there, but for what ever reason, they never stopped to help and instead stopped everything to talk to what appeared to be her sister and brother-in-law... The employee, who is male with short blond hair, helped me with several cumbersome(sorry) coupons. After nearly a line started to wrap around the counter, the manager questioned the employee about the line instead of helping, even another customer asked the manager why she wasn't helping by opening the next register. After about 15 minutes, two other employees finally came in (either just clocking in, or coming off break), one of which gets on the register the manager said wasn't working. So this 4 star is for the employee rocking it, and not 5 stars only due to the unnecessary circumstance he was in. Thank you hard working and surprising composed employee, for rocking it solo for so long. read more

They don't seem to care about walkup customers and often can't even prepare the food as ordered. It doesn't seem to matter to the manager that walkup customers can be ignored for 30-40 minutes while online orders are processed. For some reason ordering sausage in a breakfast sandwich ends up being bacon. No explanation. Other places care about customers more. read more

Bagels are good but the customer service is meh. Went to pick up bagels for work and I wanted to get a variety but the girl grabbing my bagels seemed bothered because I literally was picking one of each(I work with a bunch of picky eaters).There was no line and no one was waiting behind me so I don't know what her problem was. Bagels tasted the same as if you were to grab them anywhere else but I like the variety of bagels they carry. Just like all the other locations they have good bagels, but many times the employee gets your order incorrect. The most annoying issue is after you order a bagel, they don't take the bagel out of the case until they are ready for your order; here is the problem, when the person after you orders a bagel to go they grab the bagel you just ordered and many times it's the last bagel. You end up waiting 10-15 min for your order and then you are told they are out of the bagel you ordered (that you saw sitting in the case). I filed a complaint with corporate to see if they would change their procedure and maybe take the bagel out of the case so it can't be sold to someone else. It's been a week and no call back. I mean...The bagels seem to be of the same quality...the layout's the same. I think it's even some of the same employees. They use the same computer system thingy and even carry the same type of lemonade-berry mix drinks. So, in theory, I should like this as much as Noah's. But I don't. I'm a creature of habit. I miss Noah's... but maybe it's because I grew up with it. And yes, I know that they're owned by the same company, Einstein & Noah Corp. Einstein Bros is a convenient, quick and tasty breakfast option. Their bagels are fresh, crisp on the outside, moist on the inside, and come in a wide spectrum of flavors, from savory to sweet. We recently catered breakfast sandwiches for a small conference and I couldn't have been more pleased with result. We ordered last minute by phone (at 6am) and were able to schedule a pick up time an hour later. Pick up was a breeze and they were packaged neatly and efficiently. Catered sandwich orders must be made by the half dozen. We chose a mix of sausage, bacon and spinach mushroom and all were delicious. Spicy nacho bagel and the Jalapeño bagel were very spicy. These are the most spicy bagels I can remember having. Be warned if you can't take the heat. Sure I know they're bagels and they don't need to be handled extra carefully but at least act like someone who works in the service industry. If you don't like helping customers all the time, then you don't belong in the service industry. A good employee would be smiling and masking any type of attitude, not directing it at customers.
