Came by the same day and found out that it had nothing to do with my broken washer, but a clogged pipe. Gave me a discount (referral rate) and only charged me the diagnosis fee. Alex was awesome. He took a long time figuring out the details of the issue I had with my freezer. He quoted me a price around 400-500 dollars to fix the problem. He could have quoted me way lower to get my business, but he was honest and up front about the price of parts and labor. I went with Ekrantech because of all the positive reviews. I'm glad I did. This was for a rental property. The dryer was making a loud knocking noise. During the Labor Day holiday, I realized that my favorite necklace went missing and I had a hunch that I might have thrown it in the wash. I wasn't 100% sure if it was there, but I searched my condo everywhere and couldn't find it, so I had a hunch it was probably there. I reached out to a few handymen through Yelp, but because it was the holiday, I didn't hear back from anyone, until I reached out to Alex at Ekrantech. Alex is the owner and operator of this independently owned appliance repair company. He was prompt, professional, honest and kind. I had a problem with my washing machine, and attempted to diagnose the problem myself, attempted. Called Alex on a Saturday, made appointment for the following Monday 9-10 window. Got a text at 8:50, saying the repairman was 10 minutes away and en route. "Nice" I thought. He arrived, walked into the laundry room, looked at me with a half grin and said, "you tried to fix it? That's gonna be extra." He was kidding. So he troubleshooted and conversed till he found that the machine was fine. Put all the housing back together, paid him the "coming out fee" and he was on his way. I must admit, I'm very hesitant to call appliance repair companies, because I always feel taken advantage of.
