I do not know what's going on with this place but if it's not broke don't fix it!!! I use to love this place but now it's pretty lackluster. It seems like they're so focused on their hookah lounge that they forgot they make good food. Or they used to make good food. We had our food served in what looked like a 50s TV dinner aluminum tray. There was some type of salad swimming in some sort of liquid, the rice was flavorless, and the garlic sauce was non-existent. I'm really disappointed because I absolutely loved this place and now I have to find a new Mediterranean restaurant. read more

The building is welcoming and comfortable, it seems that they are remodeling the room next door which will be a great move to expand their business. I used to be a regular here and enjoyed spending money and time here. Now it's completely different. The tall Blonde server seemed like she hated her job and gave me and my friends the worst attitude. When we asked for more garlic sauce she stayed on her phone for a 20 min until she got it for us!!! Garlic sauce!! It's not that hard! When we got our hookah after we ate she didn't even care to start a conversation she was to busy on her phone. The water was dirty and had a old hookah flavor in it so I asked her to change it and again she talked on her phone AND then got us what we needed. I hope I don't get her as a server again. I think her name was zeoy. In short she was on her phone more then anything and mine and my friends experience was ruined. read more

Oh Elbasha you treated me so good. Delicious food and all. The lamb chops are french cut, good and tasty. The presentation is usually good but this time oh it was noticeable. I can taste and see the lamb chops where lack luster, freezer burnt and dry. Keep this up and I will change my rating to two stars. The size of half the lamb chops were much smaller more than I was used to about 1 in^2 vs 2.5in^2, nowhere near what your Facebook pictures represents. False advertising. Consistency is key here. My girlfriend and I have been here numerous time when it was managed by the previous owner and we've always liked it. And when the new owner took over, we noticed the service was a lot better. Tonight we came out and the place looks absolutely amazing! They did a great job with the remodeling, it no longer looks run down. It has such a cozy feel and there are so many new options on both the shisha and food menu. We will definitely be coming here more often and for sure recommend it to everyone we know! read more

I was a loyal customer of El Basha for years. The food and service was great, along with the hookah. They remodeled recently in which they added a separate area for the hookah, which was a great idea! The downside of the hookah lounge is that they allow the patrons to smoke cigarettes. How ridiculous to inhale the disgusting cigarette while smoking hookah!! Ridiculous idea. I went back a 2nd time to eat lunch in the restaurant; disappointing. I ordered a fattoush salad and lentil soup and the waiter said they didnt have it. It was 230pm on a Saturday. I ordered a Greek salad and an order of pita bread. The Greek salad was doused in lemon and olive oil and the "pita" he brought was cold tortilla bread. Really? Of course I complained to the owner and we got warm pita bread minutes later. The 3rd insult was having to smell the cigarette smoke streaming through the vents while we were eating. Never again will I come to El Basha or recommend it. read more

We used to love Elbasha. It was one of our go to restaurants for both dining in and picking up take out. I recently heard they are under new management and had expanded the restaurant. I was very excited for the business and was hoping their new dining room would bring them lots of new business. Unfortunately both times that we've been there since the management change have been pretty bad. If you tell a customer who calls in an order that their food will be ready in 20 min and they arrive almost exactly 20 min later, the food should at least be in the works when they arrive. The person at the counter didn't really acknowledge us just ran to the back and started cooking our food. The restaurant was empty. Not like they had a bunch of orders ahead of us. We finally were able to ask what the status of our food was and the girl told us that they had our food ready earlier but we weren't there so they gave it away. I'm pretty sure that was a lie and if it wasn't you definitely don't just give away a to go order when it's been under the wait time you gave to your customer to begin with. That is essentially what happened the first time we came after the management change as well. Having years of experience in the restaurant industry, I know stuff happens and mistakes are made, and they're easy to correct. You tell the customer the truth and fix the problem. After learning about the management change we tried it yesterday and were so disappointed with the service. We ordered 3 items from their menu 2 of them came in after 30 min and they said they were making the 3'rd one . However when they came with 3'rd order after another 15 min it was not something we had ordered and they told us oh the thing that you ordered was from the old menu and we no longer serve them so this what you get. That was unbelievable they could have come and told us about it and asked if we wanted something else. Can't tell whose an employee or not cause there's no uniform. Barely anyone in the lounge and still service is horrible. I used to love this place before the new management and remolding happened . This place use to give you great quality with big portions for a good price . Now the food is very poor quality and super small portions for what they have you paying for ! . I ordered the beef kebab and I got 5 pieces of small cube looking beef , rice ,garlic sauce on the side , and humus with no damn pita bread ! And the menu says fatosh salad included and they gave me a ranch salad lmao and what's funny is I tried to eat there again and they did the same thing and the rice doesn't even taste authentic smh ! I officially gave up going here I miss how it was before they remodeled because the food used to be so good ! .. now it just seems like they care about the money more than the quality of food .. I see why it's always empty in there when I drive by . I work in management and that place is clearly unorganized And needs some work ... the inside is beautiful however but I could careless about that . I happen to love mediterranean food and this place went for 10 starts to a half a star .. they are charging 30 dollars for two full plates when two plates combined are clearly worth only 15 dollars total.
