Got the Burrito Platter with asada - pretty good. What I like about this LBJ location is that they give you a lot of chips and salsa. I got 3 red salsas, 1 green salsa and about a dozen chips with my platter. The other LBJ location that I also go to usually gives me 2 red salsas and about a 1/2 dozen chips.

I used to love this place. It was a place I could go o for quick and yummy Mexican food. I used to love their bean and cheese burritos. I recently stopped by after a day of errands and wanted a quick trustworthy meal. Well, not meal but a couple of munch items I got the bean and cheese burrito and a carne asada sope. I want to say it was about 7:30om. It was NOT delicious. The bean and cheese burrito tasted sour like the beans were spoiled. The carne asada sope tasted like it was sitting on the counter for hours. The meat was dry and the sope base was stale. Most places will deep fry the thing so you get it piping hot and crispy. This was chewier than 5 day old sourdough bread. If I had false teeth, they would have flown out. They have several locations. I probably won't go to this one again....

I had Jamaica and carbonated lemonade with aromatic oregano salsa fresca. Lovely!

Presented with chips and salsa promptly after being seated was memorable of the cantina I managed in Berkeley in my 20s.... The lively oregano in the salsa fresca was as satisfying as the warm greeting I received from the staff. The house-made aromatic red sauce "Made from the dried chilis" for my substantial, "wet" vegetable burrito is as satisfying as you're likely to find in the state.... The loaded burrito cuisine was a pleasure to consume. A nostalgic dew cast my eyes at the old fashioned familial sense of a pleasant dining experience, as the cook joined the chorus of the corridos. The couple adjacent was sharing their 40th anniversary meal.... Business was brisk and lively. Each order was carefully administered. Not your average dining shop.

Great food, huge portions. Really enjoyed the #11 Chorizo & Eggs, Rice, Beans & Tortillas. The eggs were amazing. The #25 Beef Taco, Relleno, Rice & Bean was also really nice and cheesy. The beef was dry and complemented well with the cheesy toppings.

Staff is wonderful! The beef was dry and stringy. Overall quite bland. Chili Relleno was unrecognizable. I suggest La Capilla in Torrance.

The staff is great but way too much rice in the super deluxe burritos. Salsas are great and I will try again just no rice this time.

I was luckily able to bring 2 of my friends with me to try this place out! I came on a Saturday and there was only one other table that was occupied. It was pretty empty which saddened me because once I tried the food I was BLOWN away. The chips and salsa come complimentary as a starter/table finger food. that salsa... oh my. the salsa!!!! I am soooooo PICKY with my salsa. They absolutely nailed this salsa. The flavor, spice level, texture!!! It hit every single mark in my brain and taste buds. If the house salsa is good, then you know the food is also going to smack. The menu looks so appetizing, it was honestly hard to decide what I wanted to eat. I ordered some steak nachos as an appetizer with my friends based on a photo I saw on Yelp. 12/10. beautiful!!! They put a healthy portion of meat on it! Everything was just so spot on. The tortilla chips were all crunchy, no soggy nacho chips here. The sour cream, guac, pico... please order it. The meat was so flavorful, tender and had like no fatty pieces on it. Everyone needs to try it honestly. I ended up going simple and ordered a steak torta with everything on it. The waiter offered a side of jalapenos as well, which I happily accepted. 10/10. I was only able to eat half. I gave the other half to my extremely picky father and he liked it a lot. That's how you know this place is that girl. Can't forget the dessert. I ordered the flan, the waiter convinced us.. he said its home made. Which I would hope! It was a small piece and was flavorful. Creamy, smooth, just melt into your tongue. Also melts into your heart. Not overly sweet. Just the right amount of cajeta on it. 10/10. Horchata was very tasty to me. Right amount of sweetness to it. Service was good. Drinks were always filled, salsa and chip refills were always offered and filled. He took great care of us. They gave us lollipops with the check!! Omg so cute, my heart! Parking is difficult as it is only street parking. Majority of the parking also gets taken by the customers who go to the coffee shop across the street. I am def bookmarking this place to come back. It is so delicious. I plan on bringing my family here next. Me enamore de este restaurante!

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.
