Fantastic brunch experience! The food was delicious, the mimosas were on point, and the service was warm and attentive throughout. Definitely make a reservation in advance--ours worked out perfectly and we were seated immediately with zero wait time. Highly recommend! The vibe is bright and energetic with a relaxing feel as well. Well decorated and very clean.

It's a good spot for margaritas and to be able to sit outside via the patio. The food is good. The menu may seem smaller somewhat than other Mexican restaurants. One thing is the rice was a bit dry. The salsas are great!

Came here with my wife to celebrate a recent accomplishment and I'm glad we did! We recently moved nearby and have been wanting to try their bottomless Margarita / Mimosas. Yes, I said bottomless Margarita's... how crazy. How wonderful (haha). I would say, the margaritas are pretty sweet / sour / sugary. But I still would recommend. The food was pretty good also! I got a Carne Asada omelette and it was tasty. My wife got something similar but in a skillet. It was interesting because it tasted like the steak had soy sauce / made in a Chinese restaurant. I just had to throw that out there just in case someone experienced something similar haha. If you've never been to El Mariachi, I definitely recommend. Good vibes and music all around. At minimum... test out their bottomless margarita's. Thank you El Mariachi, I'll be seeing you soon! Personal Review: 7.7/10

Great for happy hour!! Food prices are average for the portion and quality, service was great, and the drinks were amazing. Especially happy with the happy hour prices. Cute interior, and great place to go when its nice out to sit by the windows or on the patio out back.

A solid spot for some great Mexican food. The chips and salsa are some of my favorite in the city. We tried: - Taquitos - Torta De Huevo con Chorizo - Buenos Dias Skillet The Taquitos were the star of the show.

    Birria grilled cheese

I have been wanting to go here over a year. Guy Fieri reviewed them twice and finally today on a Friday afternoon, I ventured to Lake view. I am so happy I did. The food was wonderful. I had the birria grilled cheese, which is actually on the brunch menu, but it is available anytime of the day. That was the one that Guy Fieri reviewed, and it certainly exceeded my expectations. I also had the corn, rice and beans with it. Normally it comes with potatoes, as it is a brunch item. I definitely will be going back. I hope I can try the birria tacos, but I know I'll be tempted to get that grilled cheese once again. Do yourself a favor get over there. I did not get the name of my waiter, but he was wonderful. So it just doesn't get any better than this for Friday afternoon: a great cucumber, jalapeño, margarita, wonderful food, and great service. Also, there was a lot of parking on the street because it was after 2 o'clock when I went.

Suuuuch a good brunch! Our server was ON IT and our drinks were never empty. The Birria grilled cheese was SO GOOD. We will definitely be back!! My only suggestion would be to have some vegan options available as my friend is vegan and could only have the avocado toast with no cheese, which she didn't love.

Restaurant week works cause otherwise I won't be here for brunch. It's a charming spot with the expose brick painted textured wall tasteful paintings with chips and salsa at the start. The french fries are amazing. You don't almost need to ketchup up for these fries The birria grilled cheese sandwich is juicy if a little bland on the side, but believe it or not? I have no problem with that because there's so much stuff in there like melted cheese, eggs even so you can still taste the meat Horchata reduction French toast is too beautiful to consume the sauce is like bananas foster. I'm good with that and they're also generous with the portions. We also like the mimosa margaritas The Bailey shot at the end with the bits of toasted coconut flakes is excellent. Adds texture to the Baileys, which is already thick. Nice ending.

Great food, great drinks, great services for a great price! Went for a birthday brunch and did the bottomless deal. The dishes were all delicious. The service was friendly and quick. The mimosas were also good and they kept refilling them as needed. I've been here a few times before and every time it has been a memorable experience. I would definitely go again for another brunch :)

Festive colorful setting that delivers great flavors but not so great service. I love the Pollo Relleno on the days that it is cooked thoroughly. Staff is always ready to listen to any concerns.

The service was good and they were quick to refill water. This is a cute place to get food and catch up with a friend. I would say that I got the nachos and it was pricey especially considering the portion sizes and adding a protein is extra. I think this would be good for a drinking spot but for food there are much more affordable hispanic food places nearby

Birria tacos were so good! Also got the fajitas with steak and shrimp which was pretty good. We got a pitcher of the margarita which didn't seem to have much tequila after we both had 3 glasses each. Restaurant was cute though and we enjoyed the opened windows on the nice sunny day.

Very nice place! Good spot to have dinner with friends. Standard Mexican fare with good service. Nice for a lowkey gathering without a tons of bells and whistles. LOVE their open windows in the front of house. Margaritas were strong and delicious. Our server was awesome! She was attentive and conversational. Good Mexican place to keep in my back pocket

The bright aesethics of Mexican heritage and decor celebrating local artists make the space inspiring and energizing. The coffee was great. The staff were really welcoming, for an early morning. I got the hot chocolate. Honestly that's exactly what I needed that morning. It had that real Mexican chocolate taste. Thick, creamy, smooth and rich. The cinnamon came through warm but not too strong, plus a little extra on top that hit your nose before the first sip. Sweet and it almost had this slight earthy note too... hard to explain but good. It even had that little design on top, like the ones they do on cappuccinos. Didn't expect that but it was cool. I finished it slow. Didn't wanna rush it. Just sat there taking small sips and enjoying it while it was still hot.

They also have a patio, and with the weather being nice, it was easy to just sit outside and relax for a while. I was honestly too hungry to spend much time deciding, so I just ordered one of the sourdough donut ball. It was exactly what I was hoping for. The outside had a light coating of sugar that gave it just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. Once I bit into it, the inside was soft, airy, and slightly chewy from the sourdough, which made it different from a regular donut. There was a subtle tang from the sourdough that balanced the sweetness really well, so it never felt overly sugary. It had a light crispness on the outside, then a warm, pillowy center that practically melted away with each bite. I finished it way faster than I expected. The only thing I forgot was ordering something to drink with it. Looking back, a good coffee would've made it even better. Still, I'd definitely stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

Set in an old warehouse that is now an art gallery event space and restaurant nestled in an older warehouse district in Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. Beautiful decor and laid out perfectly. The natural wood floors furniture ie tables chairs etc and iron work throughout sets the ambiance for old meets new. It works. The wide spacing between tables makes for a comfortable dining experience. So many folks come in to do their work and dine here. What a super addition to the neighborhood that less than a decade ago was essentially a street that was more a run down semi-truck alley. Great menu with neighborhood favorites leaning toward the old school Italian dishes. Sandwiches, soups, salads, and breakfasts just to name a few are all excellent. The pastries are insane and a must take home deal. I love the American Breakfast. Three eggs your way, thick diced America potatoes, thick cut bacon, and sourdough toast. Accompanied by what I believe to be home made jelly and for sure homemade gardiniera. Caruso's gardiniera actually. Diced into a relish unlike most standard gardiniera it's easier to eat with many dishes. Excellent flavor and just the right kick to it. FYI Dolce Arte also sells a to go line of homemade Caruso products from their gardiniera to past and past sauces and more. Yes, their coffee is really good too. Lavazza products I believe. The service is always on point. Casual but on point. Very friendly staff from diverse backgrounds. This is the place you bring people close to you, business lunches, meetings, formal ir informal, or like me, save it for myself as my own getaway spot. It's an artists dream and sets a positive time for any gathering.

I bravely went for the latin-inspired latte flights, consisting of Mexican mocha, Coquito, horchata, and cafe de Olla. My favorite out of these four was the coquito because of the coconut pieces, which blended well with the latte. I know it sounded silly, but I enjoyed chewing these coconut flakes and they were good palate cleansers! The presentation was da bomb as well. The only reason that I couldn't give five stars to "Stockyard" was limited seating. The place was super cute, but there were only 3 tables and less than 4 high chair seating against the windows, plus some outdoor seating on the pedestrian walkway. The laptop users were respectfully directed to sit at the windows and outlets were available. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. I asked the details of the latte flight and they explained the offerings. I thought there was only one type of latte flights, but I believe the one I selected was very much suited to my preferences. "Stockyard Coffeehouse" is accessible via routes CTA 44 (Racine/Wallace) and CTA 8 (Halsted) busses. It's great to have a reliable indie coffeeshop in the neighborhood like this, so keep up the good work!
