We have NO idea why so many people bad mouth this buffet! It's an AUCE buffet that is under $10! Seriously! And it included the drink! We've been here 2x and we'll keep going back .. It's a wide variety of interesting foods, latin, asian, american, hibachi, seafood, salads, desserts! It's like going to another country without the expense :) The staff is super friendly (though most don't seem to speak much English) .. It's clean and the food is pretty well stocked .. Four of us went yesterday and we tried just about everything there .. ONLY negative is that the signs above the food aren't always correct, some aren't in English, and some have no labels at all .. But we're daring and we tried most of it!! Give them a shot! * Also FYI .. Both times we went were during the week .. One around 4pm and other around 7pm ..

These are Puerto Rican tamales called "pasteles" to the left and regular tamales to the right.

I don't understand why this place doesn't have better reviews. First, I came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, so the price for lunch on the weekends is 11.99 (outside says 8.99) so just be aware the weekend price is different. You pay before you eat just like Sweet Tomatoes or other Buffet places. They have so many food choices here and they are GOOD. It is Latin style buffet mainly so you've got malanga, plantains, yellow rice, white rice, tamales(banana wrapped and so good!), pasteles, ropa vieja, salad (they have plain shredded cabbage which i loved), etc. For dessert, I had tres leches! I noticed as well they have some sushi options and ceviche, but that was the only thing that was not good, so I wouldn't eat those. Aside from that, servers were friendly and over all we had a nice experience here. Maybe they offer better food options for the weekend? I will definitely be back.

I have seen this place turn over several times. Now it is a Spanish buffet. No one really speaks English there so when you order your hibachi you got to take it like they cook it for you. Furthermore, many time I have seen the buffet tables way under temperature and the food cold. The worst part is that everytime I go it feels like I am walking inside a church because they play religious music. If I wanted to go to church I would go to a church not a restaurant. In addition, this is not the first restaurant the owner has owned. Unfortunately, 90% of all the restaurants they have owned have closed down. IMPORTANT NOTE: Please be aware that this restaurant has nothing to do now with El Gran Palacio.

This is my mother in law's favorite restaurant. We had a crowd of 15 people for lunch. I like that the buffet has a wide variety of Hispanic food along with Chinese and American. The staff was a bit disorganized, it could have been because of the size of our table. The food was decent. Like any buffet, some dishes tasted great and others not so much. The restaurant wasn't as clean as I'd prefer and there was only one working toilet (out of 4). I also think they could have used 2 hibachi cooks, since it was backed up. Also, the dessert options were slim and the ones available were not very good.

Not worth the time or the money. They make you prepay, if they hadn't I would have left.

My wife is sad and devastated they are closing this place. It was a business decision. We are…read moreenjoying our meal before they close at the end of September 2025. They have impeccable service, super fast and always refilling the drinks and taking away the used plates. There is always some type of traditional music on in the background and the murals almost look like they are popping out at you. Sushi sushi sushi .... Galore!!!! I have not found another place like this with such a varied selection. Hibachi has meat, poultry and seafood with plenty of veggies and noodles. Then there are salad and dessert options and hot food items along with soup and rice. I am going to miss this place. If you see this review before the end of September 2025, please stop by and enjoy this place before it's gone.

We've been big fans of Mikado Buffet in Altamonte Spring and used trips to town as our reason to…read morestop in and have dinner. But here lately there has been a huge lacking in service, and quality of said service. Tonight there might have been 2, maybe 3 servers and one of those was new. There was 2.5 hours before the restaurant closes and BAM out of nowhere 2 of the 3 servers started slinging wet towels to wipe down tables and moving napkin holder and chairs like their life depended on it. The two servers even had "up to the elbow" gloves on like they were going into surgery. They started dropping the blind and shifting the little table drink signs all in one group on a table like it was a "you just walked in but hey, were closing". We couldn't get drink refills, they didn't take any used plates, but they stayed busy doing something, just not dealing with the customer tables in the restaurant. While the food was ok, there is a large question about cleanliness. After they started cleaning put our table and wanting to sweep under our table while we were still eating we decided the one plate wad enough. We went to the restrooms to wash up and that was a nightmare! Both of the men's and ladies room look liked they had been hit by a hurricane, a month ago. The stalls were.. dirty, not usable by.. the looks of.. yeah. The floors were stained, the sinks had rubber hoses attached to the faucet to force the water to exit directly into the drain giving you maybe 1"and half to put your hands between and wash. While that reduces water from splash and getting everywhere, you are also going to hit that sharp part of the hose or the bottom of the sink where everyone else has hit their hands trying to wash.. So, even through they are two different rooms, if they cannot clean the bathrooms right, then how clean is the kitchen that they are making all of this food in?
