If you don't love pollo loco $5 combo meals, then it must be a sad life for you. A perfect place to go for a cheap, quick lunch that is super filling. If you get the original pollo bowl, you could even save half of it for the next day. Always satisfied with the portions, my order is always quick to pick up if I order from the app. They are pretty accurate with the order as well, no complaints here! My food was not so good and the overstuffed quesadilla isn't really overstuffed just overpriced. Actually it wasn't even full it was flat as and about the size of a regular size pancake. This place just opened so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never eaten here before. so I'm in the drive thru, no one is behind me so I thought I'd have time to read the menu. The lady in the intercom wasn't friendly at all and made me feel really rushed. Kept saying "hello?" and "are you ready?", just because there's a timer that affects your performance reviews doesn't mean you should be rude and rush me. This place is new, shouldn't you guys have a better core management team? This isn't a mom and pop restaurant, its a chain/franchised/corporate restaurant. You guys don't even have that many locations, so when one restaurant does badly, it really lowers the overall average of the business and affects all the restaurants. A word of advice, I myself am a manager of a high end salon and I deal with entitled people all the time so I know your struggle, but the performance of your customer service will break this place. You have a great location, but remember that taco cabana is also in a convenient location. Take heed, or this place will be ran into the ground before it can even turn a profit. read more

Went for a fundraising event on Wednesday February 6. Went in around 7:45pm and they were not very crowded. Ordered our food and service was good. Went to fill my drink with Horchata and it simply dispensed water. I informed the staff and they stated, "yeah, we're out". I then filled cup with Cherry coke and waited for food. Picked up food and chicken nachos looked just like the pictures. They tasted great as well. The Guacamole we ordered had a great flavor (as we enjoy strong lime flavor). The chips that came with it were very stale. My wife's chicken was another story. She ordered the two piece meal with double mashed potatoes. The potatoes were great. The chicken must have been on a diet because it was skinny! Also, it was pretty dry and she could not finish it. Seemed like it was way over cooked. I went back to refill my Cup with Cherry coke and the dispense would not work. I inquired with the staff and was told again "yeah, we're out". Where we were sitting you could see the trash (2 depositories) that we're overflowing to the point that we couldn't place our trash in the receptacle. What's worse, we had to see it the entire meal. All in all, expectations were not met and would have serious reservations about returning. read more

I went for the first time tonight and had the most excellent experience. I was created by the nicest worker I have encountered in a long time. Samuel introduced himself and I explained I had no idea what to order. He didn't rush me but took the time to explain all the options. He didn't steer me wrong either! This is the worst El Pollo Loco I've ever been to. They messed up our order, had to charge us again, and the second order wasn't even right. I went in and they gave us a free drink and an order of chips and guacamole, but that didn't make up for the fact we each found bone in our meals. TERRIBLE SERVICE - STAY AWAY FROM THE COOPER LOCATION. Visited today (Sunday, 03062022) at about 5 pm and saw the cashier laughing with coworkers. When she decided to approach the register to take our order, she was totally rude, short with answers and overall with a bad attitude. My son paid cash and when I placed my order and gave me the total, I asked what she had down for my order as the total was too high. Again, with a bad attitude responded that I told her to order the same as my kids, and when I asked why she rang up a $0.39 and $1.19 since I had ordered a combo, she gave me some nonsense answer and that blew my top. Asked to talk the manager and she was as rude or ruder than the employee, did not apologize, inquire or try to understand what had happened. One young lady did apologize for the bad experience and the manager gave her a "shut up" look. The manager did not know how to do a refund (because Tony had not taught her that yet) , and only the nice young knew how to do it. Bad service and attitude is not new at this location. Will NOT return after this incident. Went to Cane's down the road and was a way better experience. read more

Went to the one in Grand Prairie and was pleased by the taste and flavor of the food. Decided to try the one near my home...well, I am not going back! I have gone there twice, the first time the messed up my order, no big deal, I let it slide (they did not had hot sauce, and left something off one of the burritos). I think I set the expectation too high, especially since I've been trying to get to this place for about a year. I stopped in yesterday to finally have an item that I saw on the menu that was a seasonal item. When I stepped up to the register she informed me that the double cheese queso wrap was not carried at that location. I ended up getting the street Taco with grilled chicken diced onions and cilantro. I also have the chicken taquitos. I thought the overnight marinated chicken would be more flavorful but it was not. Don't get me wrong it was definitely tender and juicy but I was looking for more flavor and spices to jump out at me. The taquitos were in my opinion overcooked. They were very tough and by the time I made it through all three I had very little chewing power to even eat the soft taco. The chips were super crunchy but I think my mouth was tired from the taquitos. The spicy salsa was the best of everything that I had tried. The medium salsa as well as the pico de gallo were average. I thought about trying some of the specialty Taco salads but was definitely concerned that I would be disappointed. read more

This place smells so yummy once you walk through the doors! It is very nice inside! I got the 3 piece dark with two sides and it was delicious! The chicken was very juicy & the skin was so crunchy and flavorful! I will definitely make this a regular spot! Only down side is they had one person working front register with like 6 hungry customers in line and there was so many people working behind the counter, plus I had to tell them about 3 different employees 4 times to wipe down the table I wanted to sit at.
