Ordered delivery, food was good my food arrived a few minutes before my scheduled time. I received texts messages with my delivery progress this was helpful as I was in the middle of a project. I can't believe I just spent $9 on a burrito/drink combo for a burrito with literally 2 small chunks of chicken! Also like another review stated, the red salsa was half full and not red. The points was great. I come here a few times a week. Corporate decided to take 60,000 points of food away. I didn't use. I explained I have more points in the last month than I have now. The management in the store has no control, nor when I called corporate. This is valued at over $100 that they took with no explanation saying it was an error. Bring a coat if you eat in the dining room. Its freezing. An older patron asked the manager why they keep it so cold and she told him because the employees in the kitchen were too hot. I love El Pollo Loco, literally one of my favorite fast food restaurants ever. However this particular location has been letting me down the last few months. For whatever reason they are SO STINGY on the salsas, particularly the green salsa. They ask if I want salsa, I always say "yes, 8 of the green please." They usually only give me four or five. I have to ask for more every single time. Since you can't go in & fill up your own salsa cups this is quite annoying. Also the salsa they do give you are usually half full, & the containers are TINY! They should be putting the salsa in the same size container as the salad dressing. I literally haven't been coming here lately because of how cheap they are being on the salsa. I will pay extra for it! But with many other food places around now I will take my business elsewhere if this continues. read more

Came 40 minutes before closing and they put things in front of the drive thru so you couldn't order. So then I was gonna go order online but I wanted to make sure they were gonna take my order. We went for lunch today and ordered, it was taking a while and my friend went up to check on it to see what the problem was.They told us they kind of lost the order so she was going to make it up right then. One of the workers then came over and asked us for a receipt to see if we actually paid for it and "I said we've been sitting here for a while why would we lie about it so I showed her my receipt (thankfully I kept it are usually throw them out) just a very weird experience today,not very good service and then we saw later while we were eating they messed up another order for some guy , probably will go the back maybe it was just a bad day We went back to that location and they seemed to make some changes for the good. I just had a negative experience at this location. I've enjoyed El Pollo Loco food for a number of years. However there have been issues with this particular store. (There once was a manager, an older lady with blonde hair, who really tried to improve things. She isn't there anymore from what I could tell.) I ordered a two piece meal, a large green salad with Ranch dressing and a small diet coke. As it frequently occurs, I was given the cilantro dressing in error. I caught that because I checked my order before leaving. However, when I arrived home and began to eat my dinner, I took a sip of my soda. Immediately I knew that it wasn't diet coke, rather it was Dr. Pepper. I really dislike Dr. Pepper. I called the store to report the error and expected a gracious response to replace the meal the next time I came in. (It's not easy taking orders from a drive through speaker and I recognize there will be mistakes on occasion.) Instead, Bianca asked me if there was anything wrong with the chicken, etc. I replied no, but I'm being inconvenienced having to come back and that other places replace the entire meal when the order is not provided as expected. She said that El Pollo Loco is not like other places. I said indeed it is not and that I would be writing about my experience on Yelp. I perused my receipt and found a customer service phone number. I called it and was provided the option to speak to a live customer rep. She was very nice and she sent me a credit to use upon a return visit to which ever El Pollo Loco store I choose. read more

This location had terrible service when it first opened until very recently. I actually stopped going there for about six months because I just couldn't stand the bad service anymore. Lately I have been craving El Pollo Loco so I gave it a try last week. The young clerk was very friendly and very helpful but I passed it off as maybe it was just him and that he probably won't last there long unfortunately. I went back today and a middle-aged woman assisted me in the drive-through and was very friendly. I ordered the chicken and shrimp avocado tostada salad and it was very good. I highly recommend it. I am giving them only three stars because of their past and I am hoping their recent improvements will continue in the future. At that point I will be happy to increase the rating. read more

We have been Pollo Loco fans for years. All of a sudden they have changed the chicken that they put in their salads. It is no longer the chopped chicken- it's SHREDDED. For me El Polo has Great Flavorful Chicken with No Grease at All. I find that it is Consistently the Best Quality and Value. Horrible experience here today. We went through the drive thru and we were the only car so there was no rush, but the cashier wouldn't let me complete my order. She kept telling me to drive up, made me feel like I was putting her out for wanting more than one item. I told her I had a coupon and she huffed at me. Then told me to wait for the second time like it was so busy in there. I pulled up to the window and saw her throw down her hands and say " you deal with her!" To another worker. I think it's been at least five years since I went to an El Pollo Loco. Since they'd been advertising their new menu, I thought I'd check it out on a trip back from Palm Springs. We ordered three items to split, tacos al carbon, chicken and shrimp tostada, and wet burrito. The chicken on all the dishes was solid - flavorful, moist and lean. Tacos were my favorite - nice grilled corn tortilla, cabbage and sour cream. Wet burrito was good, but I think it needs some lettuce and beans - it's a plain mix of chicken, cheese, tortilla and red sauce. The tostada was pretty limp - literally. It was supposed to be grilled and crispy but was just a soft whole wheat tortilla, which the black beans quickly made soggy as they had too much liquid. The shrimp did have great flavor though. Finally, the passion fruit mango ice tea was awesome!! Great flavor without being overbearing. With some liberal amounts of lemon from the salsa bar, maybe the best I've ever had! Now I'm wishing there was a crazy chicken close to me in the Marina. read more

Absolutely fine. No complaints from me. Ordered chicken tenders and classic chicken burrito. I enjoyed both of these items. I didn't know what to expect from the chicken tenders since el pollo loco grills their chicken. The chicken tenders were good! Thick chicken pieces with a layer of crispy batter. They were not greasy either. I had mine with BBQ sauce. Yummy! Chicken burrito was the same as it always is. I can say a couple words about the cleanliness of the place: tables needed to be wiped down, salsa bar needed to be wiped down and paper towels were out in the men's restroom. read more
