A new location for me today. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is very clean inside and has a nice big parking lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Use the app of course, ordered a digital deal as I normally do, used $5 off as well from the app. Recommended you download it and use it, worth it. My go to has been 3 taco Al carbons with chips and a drink, at this location, currently $6.89, which is almost $1.00 more than other locations LA, which is a negative in my opinion. Even with the higher price, still a good deal and I still enjoy eating at El Pollo Loco and using the deals when I am able. They have many employees here and it got busy during lunch, but they got people through quickly and were friendly as well. Enjoy!

Shoutout to Mariya at El Pollo Loco! She gave outstanding customer service so kind, welcoming, and professional. She made sure everything was perfect with my order and the food was fresh, hot, and tasted amazing. You can tell she really cares about customers and takes pride in her work. Mariya made my visit a great experience. Thank you!

Avoid the salsas, specially Pico de Gallo. Terrible hygene. :/ This place will send you to the doctor in pain and with mad diarrhea.

Overpriced, small portions, crowded, noisy. Nothing spectacular. Better elsewhere. Not for me.

The chicken avocado burrito is good here. Should try it, or get something else from their menu.

I did not feel my lips, let alone body, for the next 30 minutes. Like pure capsaicin straight to my blood. Thank you Landon for saving us from future Pain and Agony. I got the #2 in medium and felt pretty happy with that spice level, we also got the Angry Mac in hot. I could not enjoy the angry Mac until much much after the burn of Angry rubbed off. But man were those good leftovers a few hours later. All amazingly good, and really hit the spice fix, my mouth is watering just remembering it.

Guess I can report that I'm not a fan. The quality of the chicken was quite good - plump, juicy,…read moreand tender. Unfortunately, "Mild" was not so mild for my tastebuds. I ended up with a burning mouth, and a runny nose from the level of spice. It even came down to scraping off the skin and spices to try to manage enjoying the center part of the chicken piece. Dear Hubby and I shared the #3 plate, which was one sandwich and one open-faced piece of chicken on a piece of Texas-style toast with a few pickle slices. It also came with a side of fries. We also added a side of rice (mistake - it was extremely bland and tasteless). Cole slaw might have been a better choice, and would have balanced the heat of the chicken. There were zero fountain beverages that I could enjoy. I don't drink caffeinated drinks, and I try to avoid copious amounts of sugar. I had water, and Dear Hubby got some root beer. The fries were quite delicious, and the amount provided was generous. That was a highlight of the meal, plus the dipping sauce for the chicken. The cashier was very friendly, so that was a plus and a good first impression. The interior restaurant space is really odd. They've laid it out so that two-tops are shoved up against one wall, and four-tops are shoved against the opposite wall, with an excessively large open space in the middle of the room. Seems like wasted space to me, and not visually interesting or welcoming. Farther across the room, away from the ordering stand and the kitchen, are several raised counters with barstools. DH and I ended up sitting at the end of one of those counter spots. We noted that there are other chicken spots very close by - Chick Fil-A, Zankou Chicken, Wing Stop, El Pollo Loco, this Angry Chickz place, and a Raising Cane's is going in to the spot previously occupied by Amy's. It's going to be chicken wars on two blocks of Moorpark Road!

He was very professional with a polite tone in asking what would you like to order, he also was not aggressive in asking for any additional food choices, in which I can really appreciate. And he was very consistent with every other customer as I waited patiently, for my food. You got a great young man, representing Popeyes, in Simi Valley, California! Great Job, NATE Mr.D.

Me and my cousin decided to treat ourselves to some Popeyes and honestly the food itself wasn't bad…read more-- but the bill? That was a whole experience on its own. I ordered an 8-piece mixed (half spicy, half regular), a side, four biscuits, and a chicken sandwich. With a $6.99 coleslaw, I'm looking at $41 for a fast food run. I had to stare at that total for a second. Now the food -- let me be honest. The chicken was really good, crispy and seasoned well, solid 8/10. The coleslaw was fresh and topped up nicely, I'd give it a 7/10. The mashed potatoes were just okay, nothing special, 6/10. But those biscuits with the butter and honey? 9/10 easily -- absolute favorite thing on the menu, don't let anyone take that from you. Here's where it went left though. My cousin ordered her own 8-piece and asked for gravy. They told her it was included. She gets her order -- no gravy anywhere in the bag. She ends up paying $8.99 for a small container of gravy, when my coleslaw was only $6.99. That math is not mathing and it really left a bad taste for both of us. The food has its moments for sure, but the pricing feels like a lot for what you're getting, and the mix-up with the gravy was just frustrating. Hopefully they do better. However service at this location is good for the most part, they offered condiments and were not skimpy. I can't blame them for corporate prices.
