Food is always great here. Probably top 3 in Clovis. Friendly owners, helps if you speak spanish for sure. Good portions, taco Tuesday and Fridays - $2.50 asada tacos, and they're loaded fat! i I eat here AT LEAST 3x a week.

    Camarones a la diabla

I just picked up camarones a la diabla. It was packed with shrimp in the pic I had already ate 5 and there was still few more left which I like. The rice and beans were good. The avacado salad mixed with the red sauce also was delicious. The homemade tortillas brought the plate together. If you like spicy shrimp this is the plate for you. I'm happy I came here for lunch today. Price is reasonable.

    Chili Verde Burrito

In my quest to find the best Al Pastor, was told that they have it (Adobado is not the same). My wife got Carnitas and I got Verde burritos. Burritos are massive! Gave us sauces without having to ask. Verde was great with just the right amount of kick. The carnitas had a great flavor! I would definitely would recommend the carnitas.

The food here is super authentic. They care about your experience as the customer here. Perfect place to eat any time of the day at.

Overcharged me for breakfast burrito with no meat. The burrito itself was pretty good though. The potatoes are fresh and so were the eggs. No fake eggs here. The cheese they used actually melted and it wasn't cheddar. I'm pleased.

a plate of bacon and potatoes

We usually try mom n pops shops to help local. The breakfast burrito was so bulky it fell apart. The bacon was semi raw along with the potatoes. Which they left some skin on some potatoes. Spent 22$ with sodas and 2 breakfast burrito. Let's pray we don't get sick.

Taco de tripa that has been fried way too many times and lengua tacos.. lengua that has been marinating in the skillet for days

If you want to leave with a stomach ache and spend your money just to take two bites and spit it out, come here! Worst Mexican food I've tasted! We were thinking we found a hidden gem and based on the "good reviews" we decided to give this place a try. Either the good reviews are from people that eat garbage and don't know the taste of real authentic Mexican food or single drunks that come here to cure a hangover! Since it's next to a liquor store. We were seated with chips and salsa and both were good! So we thought the food was going to be as good.. well we were WRONG! We ordered menudo, 2 tacos de lengua 1 tripa and a huarache. The menudo was thick and slimy with a lingering taste of a menudo that has been sitting there and reheated way too many times. The lengua tacos were packed, I was excited to take the first bite and could not swallow it do to the spoiled taste the lengua had! Either it was well seasoned which I've never had red lengua before! We figured they seasoned it with achieote, paprika and vinegar cuz that how it tasted! I guess to make it taste fresh or it was spoiled!! cuz the way it tasted, tasted like old blood! The asada too! The tripas were so crispy almost burnt and tasted like they've been refried. . Flat Diet Coke and returned it for a regular. We left all the food there! Not to mention my husband had a stomach ache after! If you want the taste of spoiled blood and meat that has been cooked and seating there for God knows how long and reseasoned come here!! This is GARBAGE!!! -0 stars!

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

My sister introduced me to this place, and I'm actually waiting on her to come back to visit so that we can take another trip back together (it's been a minute)! It's got diner vibes to me. Booths, seats at the front counter facing the kitchen, and a few more tables in the center. It's not the most aesthetic restaurant but... it's on the corner of Blackstone & Dakota-- lol I didn't expect it to be. Friendly staff. Great chefs. Service is always good/quick. We've never waited long to have our orders taken or to receive our food. Now... those enchiladas! They're the closest thing to the type of enchiladas my best friend's mama makes (she's from Michoacan)-- she makes the best, most authentic Mexican food! SO, when I can't get them from her... I know where to go. They are cheese enchiladas-- served with lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, and sour cream.. sprinkled with cotija cheese. They also come with some bomb potatoes and your choice of chicken or steak-- we always go steak. Sooo good and the flavors are always on point! + They give complimentary chips and salsa-- very good. We use that same salsa for the enchis. Pair it with a crisp coke, chef's kiss! If it wasn't obvious, it's a yes from me. This little hole-in-the-wall family-run business needs more recognition!
