My reviews are always about my personal experience from food to service. Service was great, that's why they get 2 stars but the food was not great. We ended up here because I wanted some tacos last week and when we walked by, I wasn't impressed so we ended up at the Cuban place next door - which was great. We came back to the Cuban place but because It was raining and a slow night, the Cuban place had closed their kitchen so we gave this place a try. Sat outside and saw a few roaches - in fact, my husband killed one and they just left it there Because we were outside we let it go. Like I said, service was great but the food and drinks were alright - nothing to write home about. I'm glad we didn't come here last week, would have missed the Cuban place next door, which was great, I had steak tacos, lots of fat and no taste. My husband had the Cochinita pibil - the onions were the only good thing from that taco and he also had the Mexican chicken wings - lacked flavor. Guac was mediocre, I've made better at home with less ingredients and the pico de Gallo was mostly onions. They charge more for paying with credit card...who uses cash anymore?? Glad we tried it to know we won't be back. It's a tourist place, not a local spot. Locals know better food and expect more. If you go, know you will see roaches and the food will lack flavor, mostly salt. read more

Delicious Mexican food. Churrasco tacos are just simply amazing perfectly cooked and seasoned. Delivery and ordering service was quick. Only thing is they only speak Spanish at the restaurant may be difficult to order if you only speak english. But don't let that keep you from coming or ordering from here. Good option for fast food late night. Small and casual authentic Mexican restaurant. I tried the Steak, Al Pastor and Carnitas tacos and recommend all three options. The service was fast and the food very fresh! read more

I like this venue better than the one in the Grove. More comfy Mexican vibes. Guacamole is very fresh and I am very picky with guac! I had three different tacos and all were fabulous. Michelada was decent...rice and beans were pretty tex-Mex but still good. I can't wait to go back to try the chilaquiles! read more

Food was good and service was pleasant, but there are many additional fees that don't show up until the bill comes. The meal I ordered was $13, but the bill turned out to be a little over $18. We had asked for a cup of water, and they had automatically brought us a bottle of water (already opened, so we couldn't give it back). They did ask if we wanted salsa with our chips, but neglected to mention that it was an additional $2 for the salsa. On top of all that, there was a $1 charge for using a credit card, however, there were no clear signs or notices warning us that there would be an extra fee to use a card. read more

This is a cute little place nearby the beach I went to. I came across it after trying another place that was apparently closed. There's only a few stools to sit at, so it's nice and intimate. And the doors are open, so it makes the atmosphere relaxing. Their tacos are delicious!!! They're 3 tacos for I think $4. Super cheap but amazing quality. I loved it. And everything came out pretty quickly, which was awesome cause we were starving. Definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area. read more

My husband and I are originally from Arizona so we were dying for some quality Mexican food... This place hit the spot! The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for Miami. The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. We will definitely be coming back! I got the carnitas and pollo pastor tacos and they were amazing. read more

Ok, this is a taco joint. You don't really expect alot of hygiene, and if you can get past the roaches ( big Florida ones, which are hard to keep away from open air areas) the food was good. Had the service been as attentive as the roaches, I would have given it 4 stars. I was ready to leave when i saw the first roach on a far wall, my husband talked me into staying and i must admit the tacos were good, the hot sauces and the Michelada were great. read more

This place is the best. Food is delicious. Beer is 2 for $6 margaritas are $6. Go home very happy and satisfied for under $20.

The "flautas" are an abomination and it's clear that they didn't consult with a Mexican person before creating their list of foods on the menu. secondly, there are no refills or discounted prices on the agua frescas drinks. Each little mason cup of agua Fresca will run you a cool $2.50. Perhaps if were homemade versus machine made I'd be willing to pay for it, but for machine made agua no thanks. read more

I was excited to check out this place in calle Ocho. Prices are behind reasonable. Food comes out quick. Margaritas as disappointing but the enchiladas and el pastor tacos are great! They have a nice outdoor cover patio with good airflow if you want to sit, have a quick bite and a beer. If you're in the area- stop by! read more

Best mexican on calle ocho. The fresh chips and sauces are delectable, the four served include pickled onion with jalepeno, and the hot sauce of the 4 is actually hot. My regular is the 12" burrito with fresh chicken, and avocado. This place is cute, along with the wait staff. The only downside is it isn't open past midnight-ish. read more

After several positive trips here, I'm surprised I never wrote a review. Too bad for them, it's going to based on tonight's experience. All I can say is if the manager and staff don't want to be there and want to sit around and talk or go out and drink, then go do it. Don't keep the place open a give the kind of service my family and I got tonight. First off, if I order you signature nachos and salsa, don't look at me like you have no clue what I just said. If i'm sitting at your bar top, they should just appear like they do every other time I come. Oh, and they shouldn't be stale. Second, if we ask for water, could you get around to giving it to us in a timely matter? We waited for about 7 minutes from when we asked for water until we got it. I know, because the young lady who got the water was taking her sweet time pouring it while she was on the phone, so I thought I would time her. Once she served us the water, we were a bit disappointed at how very warm the water was. I figured it took so long, because she was making sure we were served ice cold water with our spicy salsa. My girlfriend asked for a glass of ice. The girl looked at us like she had never heard that ice can be served with water. Next problem was the food. I was going to order the steak tacos and the churrasco tacos, but when I mentioned the churrasco, the cook screwed up his face like he didn't want to cook them, I figured I would do better not to order them then. The steak tacos were clearly made earlier and tasted dry as hell. My girlfriend ordered another water when she was down and the girl threw out her cup with the ice and poured her another warm cup. Finally,( I should have put this first), the music was too loud. If I have to repeat myself twice for you to hear me, there is an issue. All in all I guess this team is not their "A" team. This people clearly didn't want to be there or have customers. If you don't want me there, then don't open the freaking doors. read more

This place is very small. When I saw that there were no tables I decided to order carry out. However, when I saw that some seats by the bar cleared up I mentioned that I would rather eat there. I like most taco spots I go to. This place was not very good. Food is cheap and that's about the only good thing I could say. Service was terrible and it takes forever to get anything. If I could give this location anything less than 1 star I would. The absolute worse service I have ever experienced in Miami. We came to this location by recommendation and brought a large party to what looked like an a cool hole in the wall Mexican hip spot. The guacamole was probably the only thing that held us at the table. Our waitress came to our table twice, 1st to take our drink orders and 2nd to get our food order, after that she was never seen. When our food came out, all but one arrived. We questioned the waitress whom we had to go look for and she simply stated that the cook had forgotten that order and that he was in break and that she wasn't sure when he would return. After about 15 minutes we questioned it again, this time to the cook. He became very verbally aggressive and began to state that it wasn't his problem. No manager was on site and no one to provide proper customer service was available. On the way out we encountered a massive roach crawling in the kitchen. Needless to say, we will never be back and will not be recommending it to any of our friends and family. There are too many amazing food spots nearby that I would much rather spend my money and enjoy my time in. read more
