So me and my girlfriend have been going to El Taquito since they had the old location and we must admit, we are pretty disappointed with the service at this new location. The food tastes the same and is good! However, they have very poor service. While it's busy, the place looks like a shit show. Servers have no sense of urgency, people that walk in after us get sat before us, the wait for the food is additionally disappointing and long after already waiting forever to be sat. Management needs to be better or try hiring more experienced employees to run this place more efficiently. read more

El Taquito food is simple but great. Me and my family are becoming regulars for weekend breakfast or lunch. Staff is very friendly, food is good solid Mexican style, salsas and great. My only complaint is space.... They need to expand !! I find very uncomfortable waiting for my order on a super crowded place... Other than that, fantastic food. read more

Ok this place has been getting the food out faster so they get another 2 stars. They still have the best Unique Specialty Breakfast Tacos in all the area. I mean they can build your standard Tex-Mex Bacon Potato egg and cheese taco really well. But what makes them stand out are the specialty authentic Mexican taco recipes. And their hot sauce bar is frigging amazing. Still the hands down best Barbacoa and Carne Guisada (sp) tacos in all of Pflugerville. The coffee here has a hint of cinnamon to it so if that's not your thing buy your coffee at the gas station next door. I personally like the coffee here but others have mentioned they don't like the hint of cinnamon. This is not a place to take large groups of people as the facility is just too small. If your only 2-4 people you can probably find a table. The TV plays the Spanish channel all day as any Taqaria should. I'm not crazy about the lunch menu but this is definitely my go to breakfast taco place. read more

I tried their breakfast yesterday. We bought a total of five tacos and paid somewhere around $13, so not super expensive but also not really cheap. My tacos were a little greasy but pretty tasty. I really enjoyed the salsa bar too. Several different types and different levels of heat with a serve yourself kind of buffet set up. I've heard good things about their lunch so I plan on heading back to try it eventually. read more

First time here....and my 7 yr old and I like it! It's a small spot, but the food is good. They have a salsa bar and the salsa is pretty good. The "mild" is spicy but we can tolerate it. We will definitely be back! read more

I used to love this place and their famoso tacos de bistek but recently their meat has been extremely chewy which makes the bistek so difficult to eat, I love all their food and aguas frescas but please change your bistek meat :( read more

Love the new building, but they need to bring back the salsa they used to have at the old location. Also, get rid of the fancy tortilla chip buckets. Go back to a basket or some simple way to add salt to the chips. Sometimes fancier is not better...... Keep it simple. read more

I placed an order online they said 20-25 minutes. I show up 25 min later and my order is not ready. Everyone is running around the place it's notipacked so not sure what the deal was. Kitchen going crazy, no customer service skills. An action plan has to be in place yet it didn't seem like it. What's the point on ordering to go if you still have to wait and your order is not ready! Food is over prize for the portions that they serve, I don't believe the tortillas are fresh made there they taste store bought. A real Mexican place makes the tortillas. Orchata water was from previous day. We will not return to this place, we gave it two shots and both failed. read more

This place is small but the breakfast tacos big time flavor make up for it.... I would recommend you call in your orders to speed things up for ya. They make their own salsa and sauces. Make sure you pay attention to the salsa and sauce labels if the label says very hot they mean it. I have not had any lunch or dinner menu items ill keep you all posted. read more

This is the slowest restaurant service in town. Food maybe be ok but when you wait 1 hr and 25 minutes for 2 meals and when others are getting thier food after you have been there 1 hour and 20 minutes then OWNER says too many take outs. Save your time and go to Rosa's. read more

Authentic Mexican food. Very tasty breakfast tacos. Kind of small. The Barbacoa is great here. Menudo is on point. Stocked with all the Jarritos flavors and horchata. This is my go to place in the mornings on the weekends; although there is usually a bit of a wait due to everyone else having the same idea of calling in first and picking up the order, it is totally worth it(location)! Husband and I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, we went todaY on a Sunday and the place was packed so we thought this is good. Turns out wasn't really that great. Food is way over priced for what it actually is, salsa seems like it came out of a jar, enchiladas plate was almost $13 for 3 and I got the cremas enchiladas, cheese, they were ok but not worth the money. Husband got enchiladas verde beef and one taco al pastor. He said is enchiladas were ok but he agreed that they were way over priced. The taco was good though, food came out at a decent time, waitress was very friendly and staff very helpful. All in all I'd say the food is decent but not worth it if you're better off going to Taco Cabana or Rosa's for the same quality read more

got the order to go and when i said i wanted queso with tortillas the guy asked me which queso i wanted. then when i proceeded to tell him i just wanted queso with tortillas, he suggested the queso fondue which i had no clue what that was. i get home with my order and i open a block of cheese....absolutely horrible decision. how the heck was i supposed to use this on my tortillas. my stomach already hurts. read more

Very disappointed in this place. Every time we have ordered take out something was wrong. The last time I didn't check the bag before I left. I had waited forever for my order and was in a hurry. I got home and almost our entire order was wrong. I called them back and the girl on the phone asked me to bring everything back. I went back and she tried to have me keep the two tacos that were correct while they made everything else. I explained that they were already cold and it would be at least another 15 minutes of waiting and they would not be good anymore. They agreed to make those again as well. When everything was ready she came up to make and assured me she checked everything herself and it was all correct. I got home and two tacos were still wrong. My mistake for not checking myself. When I called she tried to argue with me and I told her I would send a picture of the two tacos. I said I don't have time to come back. I would just like the two tacos refunded. They told me only owners could do the refund and it would be done as soon as the owner got there. They assured me the owner would call me and take the two tacos off my card. I never got a call or the refund. We always had great food and service until they moved to this location. We won't be returning. read more

I recently went with 2 other individuals on 12/28/19 and I was seated by the wall next to bar. We ordered three meals with out waiter the bartender a short Hispanic black hair man. The waiter took awhile to take our orders and got two of three orders wrong. I decided to have him fix them. After that we decided to wait again awhile for my credit card to get charged. I had to finally Approach him to get my card back, a day later I realized he had charged my credit card our meal and someone else's meal too as I later found out from bank transactions online. This was even After I gave him 18.5 percent cash tip with bad customer service since I felt it wasn't cooks fault. Not ever going back I advised my bank two times as they tryed to take unauthorized money from me both on same day 12/28/19 Food was okay, but I feel this fraudulent activity on my card is no joke and if someone does it once then how many other times has he done it. I could not believe my luck when I realized this "El Taquito" was the same one as the one in Round Rock! And this one is in my neighborhood! I am originally from Mexico so I am picky when it comes to Mexican food. Well, this is the authentic thing! You can also just buy a bunch of their delicious handmade flour tortillas to have at home! Wife and I stopped in after a 5k. Great tortillas and very fresh ingredients. I was ravenous after the run so I may be l little biased but these were the best breakfast tacos I've had anywhere around the ATX area. Not huge but that's a plus for me- I can get a few different varieties. The staff is super nice so I'll give them a star. However, the salsa...all 3 different ones were awful. Green one is sour, the regular one taste like a smokey paste pecante, and their hot one is tomato sauce with red pepper flakes. Didn't like the menu so asked for a bean burrito and couldn't even get that. Friend had 2 different types of tacos and they were bland. I should've known, if the salsa's aren't good chances the food isn't either and it was true. Maybe their breakfast burritos are better but again w/o great tasting salsa it all falls flat. Worst experience I have had trying to get breakfast. Don't know how their food is because i could never get my order. Couldn't even get a cup of coffee while I waited for my order. 2 different people said they would bring one but never did. Finally noticed the manager was what appeared to be taking food from completed plates to complete other orders. Checked on my order for the second time and again was told I was next and again asked for the cup of coffee I had already paid for. Again nothing. After what felt like forever I finally gave up and asked to cancel my order. Manager had an attitude and stated it wasn't his fault his workers don't show up. When enough workers don't show up to make your business fail then it is the managers fault. I don't think I would want to work for this guy either. read more

Pulled up to the pick up window only to sit there for another 10min with no one ever coming to window even though multiple employees saw us sitting there, eventually had to call them on phone for them to come to window. By far the SLOWEST and most unorganized taco place in Pflugerville. read more
