I was in a frantic hurry to find low-key happy hour (HH) places in Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena past the usual 7 p.m. HH-cut off mark that also served relatively healthy food and found this place via Yelp. Kirstin is such an awesome server/person and even brought a sampling of two alternative beer options since they were out of the one that was ordered We went around 8 p.m. on a Wednesday night and it was super chill and low-key and a great place to have some beer, sausages and good conversations We ordered (jumbo) sausages, deviled eggs, and spinach dip with chips and they were all really good. Highly recommend these if you want to share and have "light" food instead of a full-blown meal with your beer. They do only serve beer - so if you want a glass of wine or to bring your own wine, you can't. My friend, Jack, and I met at Thee Elbow Room today at Noon. Crystal, the pleasant and pretty Owner/Executive Chef, was behind the bar offering samples of the wide variety of craft beers. After settling on a Swami IPA (for myself) and a pale ale (for Jack), we moved outside to the partially-shaded, sub-street level patio. Within moments, Jack had his corned beef sandwich, and I was tearing into the special of the day, a tri-tip sandwich with pico de gallo. Both sandwiches came with a lightly dressed green salad. Delightful ownership. A variety of great beer. Delicious food. What's not to like? Any concerns? You bet! Not enough people know about this place. Gotta say, was happy i stumbled upon this little gem. I work in the area and was going thru the daily struggle of where to eat lunch. I went with a few of my friends from work (Beer Connoisseurs). Love this place! A true hidden gem! Cool staff, great food, reasonable prices: what more could you ask for?! I haven't tried their beers yet so I can't vouch for those but every food item I've tried has been above and beyond delicious. I've never paid anything above $10 and am always full and satisfied. Went there for St. Patrick's Day, we got there pretty late so it was half empty but they have excellent customer service we still got a chance to order the yummy giant pretzel after the kitchen closed. Not only that they did it for all the other drunks too. The beer had a lot of flavor very good I got a nice buzz w/ just the Dirty Bastard. My brother-in-law told me that their menu changes often which is pretty cool plus they have beer tasting 4 flights. Definitely, will go back for that. read more

First off I need to be clear, we had our little kids with us. So they have a kids menu, but were sold out of the chicken, leaving only the other two items my son doesn't eat (grilled cheese or pbj). They were also out of the tomato soup that my daughter wanted with her grilled cheese. We had already started drinking our beverages before our server informed us of this, so we felt sort of stuck. My son ate an $8 pretzel for dinner. The other food we had (corned beef sandwich and beet salad) was tasty but nothing phenomenal. So here we are, finally making some ground away from 2020 and knowing what it's done for small businesses and restaurants we had to seize the opportunity to try it out. The ambiance was perfect, mellow chill vibes from all the patrons. They've made great use of out door dining and the scenery is pleasant. This downtown location is absolutely adorable, like something out of a hallmark movie. So we dined on a Sunday evening with my family. My picky "a5$" younger kids who rarely eat...loved it! We dined on a couple of subs a charcuterie board and some appetizers while enjoying a beer. The heat on the Italian sub was money! My mouth is still watering thinking about it. The paired flavors of the charcuterie board had all of us hooked. My family wanted to order a second one. They made great use of the cutlery options due to covid. I've seen so many restaurants struggling to make the covid restraints still work for them and I was pleased with everything especially considering the circumstances. We were pleased overall with the setting, the service and the food! We are thankful we had the opportunity to dine here and that this gem survived the rough year. There is little social distancing and some goofball without a mask was walking through the bar and kitchen chatting up the staff. Not just once , but ongoing. The staff is very friendly and understanding, yet deliver heads-down excellent service. The selection of beers is always great and cover good variety from Blondes to Stouts. The salad was literally dripping with dressing. She sent it back and askedfor the dressing in the side. No I will not be going back.
