Solid vanilla latte -- not overly sweet. Perfect space for remote work or chilling. Plenty of seating and fast wifi!

100% recommend this business! I first found out about Electric Coffee from instagram when I was browsing the best coffee shops in Portland. Located in an industrial neighborhood (literally in an Electrical Supply building) you will have to pay close attention to scoping out where this is. There is usually a little easel with Electrica Coffee on it. To my surprise, it is MORE than a little coffee company in an industrial building. There is also a home decor company to your right which sells some pretty cool things and a large, open shared work space area to study/work. I ordered the Miso Caramel Sesame Latte which was amazing. You can never go wrong with the salty/sweet combo. The drink itself has inspired me to use miso caramel when baking desserts.

Cool Spot, Decent Drinks, Pricey but Nice Vibes Drinks -My mom got the Chocolate Hojicha, and she really liked it. She's said it had a stronger, earthier taste kind of like matcha's bolder cousin. I went for their Saikaya Latte since they're known for it. It was good, but I wouldn't say it tasted like the "salted caramel" they described. It was more on the subtle side, definitely not a sweet latte. Solid 7/10, but nothing mind-blowing. Atmosphere & Vibes The space is super aesthetic, cozy, and they play great music. It's connected to this high-end home showroom. Parking & Location Parking wasn't too bad, which was nice. The shop is near the Willamette River, so if you're in the mood for a little walk after, the views are so pretty! Overall It's a little pricey, and while the drinks were good, I wouldn't go out of my way for them. But if you're in the area and want a cool spot to chill, it's worth checking out.

This is a cute and spacious coffee shop. The service is fast and the prices are decent, especially for the tasty seasonal lattes.

Lots of space to do your work, music was a tad loud but with headphones it's fine. Coffee was amazing we got 1. Ice Saikyo latte - so good very milk, but oaty and rich if that makes sense 2. Hot - Blake seasme latte - very good could definitely taste the black seasme 3. Hot - Cafe de olle- - super good was well. I'd rate all three drinks 10/10!

The coffee is delicious - had a soy milk cappuccino and almost wanted to order another. A friend said the same thing and loved their specialty latte. Very cute inside, and music is always appropriate volume for working. They were out of several things, like almond milk, by 11:40 on a Sunday, but what I had was so good that it didn't matter.

A beautifully clean, airy, and comfortable industrial space. It's modern and cozy-a great place to sit and read solo, or come chat with a friend. Service is friendly and everything feels curated with great attention to detail. Pour over menu is extensive. I had coffee (they have fun fusion lattes to explore), and will want to come back to make my way through their equally extensive tea menu. Food is limited to a few mochi sweet pastries-I wouldn't have minded a bit more selection. The stoneware elevates the drinking experience. I recommend getting your drinks "for here"; sit, and enjoy for a moment.

    Cool space.

Electrica takes the craft of coffee and tea to another level. The 2 owners bring a passion and expertise to their Mexican coffee and Japanese tea program that comes through in every sip. Each item on the menu has been thoughtfully crafted and they've gone out of their way to feature a variety of coffees and teas that are truly unique. I went with a signature pour-over coffee and it was one of the best ones I've ever had. Perfectly balanced, not acidic at all, and some of the most dynamic flavors I've had in a cup of coffee. The space is industrial, stylish and chill. It's not crowded and since it's inside Schoolhouse Electric, you can peruse a bit while you're well-caffeinated. Definitely make the trip to NW Portland to experience Electrica's new approach to coffee and tea - in one of Portland's oldest buildings.

Haven't tried the coffee but has some of the best matcha in Portland! The location is also really cool and unique.

I needed somewhere to study today and after seeing photos of Electrica online I thought it looked like a nice spot to get some work done. I didn't realize this before I got here but it seems they specialize in green tea and matcha drinks. There was only one barista working at the time but he was super friendly. He enthusiastically explained what all the drinks were which I really appreciated. Some cons- they were out of coffee when I came lol. I thought this was a bit odd because they are a coffee shop. But that was fine I decided to get a green tea. It was good, you could tell it was high quality. But 4$ for a tiny little cup was a bit ridiculous. At the end of the day, this spot has great ambiance and I'm sure if you're into matcha this would be a good place for you. I personally wouldn't recommend though.

This place has so much light in the desserts are delicious. Do not let the rice flour ingredients fool you I honestly wanted to eat two of those little donuts. this is definitely a place I would come and hang out if I was looking for something more intimate being that it's in the industrial area. It's not really lively so you're not gonna get that kind of vibe. I like that there was one employee working the register and making drinks...which were made before servicing another customer that way you didn't have a long wait.

Love the space! Their coffee and tea drinks are delish as well. Special shoutout to the Seikyo Latte. The savoriness and saltiness of the miso worked so well in the coffee! Their Hojicha Chocolate Latte was also decent, quite unique but I don't think it hits as much as the Seikyo. Great spot to work. Open and modern with many table and seatings.

Honestly love this place from the atmosphere to the drinks to the wonderful service. I've dropped by a couple of times and hope to return at least a handful more in the near future. First time I drove up, I was not prepared for the unique corner where this coffee spot is nestled. Parking nearby was a bit of a bust but I took a side street hike and just ended up walking a bit. The 2nd time a spot opened up right in front so woohoo! I walked right in and was immediately hit with how cute this spot was - the coffee bar in itself is pretty charming but the Schoolhouse Electric Co Supply items and plants and furniture are amazing as well. I usually gravitate towards the matcha latte, but the coffee is solid as well. I am dying to try the saikyo latte next time since it sounds pretty amazing. I was able to slide in during their bday drink specials so I did get my fave fave fave which is a strawberry match -- of course, given that description you know I loved it. I also love their pastry case with mochi donuts and brownies and other little baked goods. All in all, I adore this spot and hope to swing by more frequently in the future. If you're hesitant about checking it out, wait no longer and head over there!

This reminds me of the Korean cafes that are sprinkled all over Southern California. We were delighted to see it here! I ordered a black sesame late and a black sesame mochi donut. Being only one barista, right after you order, he makes your drink immediately. You can hear and see the espresso shots being made and the ice filling your cups. Dependent on your order, he pulls out the cream for the top. I can see the black sesame cream top being very thick and full. A lot of patrons were ordering their tiramisu latte, and I don't blame them! It's what is very popular here. Personally, I enjoyed the black sesame latte very much. It was the perfect amount of cream and sweetness. The taste didn't overpower the coffee, which is nice. Their mochi donuts were good, too, with the consistency of mochi dough. They are located outdoors within a repurposed trimet station, which add such a a unique Portland touch to their vibe. Although usually a 1-2 person operation, drinks always come out relatively quick! I tried the tiramisu latte and the black sesame latte. The tiramisu latte was easily my favorite. The cream top is rich and delicious, and when mixed into the coffee it really tastes like a classic tiramisu dessert. It's sweet, smooth, and feels like a treat without being overwhelming. The black sesame latte was also great, especially if you like nutty flavors. It has a natural sweetness with a deep roasted sesame taste that almost reminds me of peanut butter, making it both comforting and unique. I've also had their regular latte before and really appreciate the quality of their espresso. The coffee itself has a smooth, balanced flavor that stands out even without added syrups or toppings. A great spot to visit if you enjoy creative specialty drinks but still want genuinely good coffee underneath it all.
