What I'd like to point out first, is that the super kind human who took our order was absolutely that: super kind. My partner and I felt good about our research and choice of NextGen, and the wire rack piled to the top with comforters, mattress pads and other bedding only furthered our confidence. Sadly, once we removed the bed from the bag, I felt confused that perhaps the wrong item had been picked up. It looked nearly identical to when we'd first brought it to NextGen, but with quite a few more strands of (different lengths) of hair stuck to it throughout. Secondly, almost every quilted square of the bed had faux filling bunched up in a variety of balls--I had originally purchased the square patterned bed to avoid this problem once cleaned. :( I wanted to bring my item back immediately, however, my health at the time did not allow it. I gave two stars for the kind atmosphere. P.s. I am attaching a very faded receipt, with the word, "wait" written at the top, because I felt it so important to write a review. Especially if it helps future costly mishaps occur.

She was so friendly and knowledgeable. She happily accommodated all of my requests. She even did more complicated and minor things that made a world of difference in how I felt in the dress. She minimized the bust size (which required her to purchase new cups and rebuild that section of the dress). She also added additional lace to the bust section to make the dress what I had in my mind when shopping but never found. She also had suggestions of her own that really saved the day like trimming internal layers down to length while still leaving the outermost layer as a train. That change really made my wedding day so much more comfortable (and my ability to fluff the train out for photos so much easier) while still letting me feel so beautiful all day. Overall I love how it turned out - and she did it all so quickly and at a reasonable price.

I messaged them through yelp before going in, and David the owner was very quick to respond and gave me assurance that he would take good care of my dress. I took the dress in and they started with dry cleaning first, but that didn't get the stains out. They suggested a method to get the stains out that was outside of the suggested care label, and David took his time to talk to me on the phone to walk me through the process. He was very upfront with the risks and cared enough to ask me my comfort level on how far to push to get the stains out. They successfully got the stains out and my dress looks good as new! The whole process only lasted 2 days!!! I dropped off the dress on Tuesday afternoon, and the dress had gone through dry cleaning, stain removal and finishing touches by Thursday afternoon. All the staff I have interacted with have also been so nice and friendly - David, Irene, Lisa. They also have a neat system that you can use to track your progress. I dropped off my dress yesterday morning, went to brunch, ran some errands, and my dress was ready for pick-up before the store closed at 4pm. I can't tell you how happy and impressed I am with Linh's work! Not to mention that she is so nice and easy to work with. I purchased a very expensive wedding gown that was made up of very delicate alencon lace overlay. I was very nervous about having it altered and so took my dress to 3 places to get a qoute. I did have a bridesmaids dress altered by Linh some years ago and remembered being very happy with it. But still.....I wanted to be 100% certain about where to take my bridal gown. Of the 3 places, Linh's price was best and she seemed the most knowledgeable about how to get what I wanted done. I can be very particular and it wasn't long before I could tell what a perfectionist she is. She is also very honest and will tell you if something you're requested will compromise the integrity of the dress and material. My dress ended up fitting better than I could have ever imagined. Also, with only a couple days before I left for my destination wedding I decided that I wanted to change the width of my sash. She knocked it out in no time. I also decided last minute that I needed a replacement flower for my sash as I did not like the one my dress came with. I ran around to local salons (even up in SF) and didn't find any I liked. Linh fixed my wedding dress disaster literally 1 week before my wedding date. I originally had another alteration lady who completely butchered my dress (she took my dress in from one side instead of having it taken in evenly from the left and right side; result was lopsided dress). The lady also had an upcoming flight out so was unable to fix my dress. I was super worried and rushed to Linh to ask if she could help (my friend referred me). Linh literally saved me. She worked throughout the weekend to undo the seams and take in my dress evenly. I'm also a small person so it was really hard getting the dress to fit right (I think originally my dress size was an 8 and Linh had to get it down to a 0/2). I cannot thank Linh enough. I'm getting married and will need to wear a red Chinese style dress for my Tea Ceremony. Since I'm not a size 0, it took me forever to find a dress big enough for me. I was really worried because these dresses are very form fitting and I do not have that kind of svelte figure. So I found a dress close to my size and figured I would just get it taken in. I made an appointment online and received a call from Linh not long after. I came in that day and Linh was patient with me and realistic. She is knowledgeable about what the dress can do, and what it will need to do for a Tea Ceremony. The price was very reasonable for what I wanted her to alter. I came back to pick it up and had her take it in a little bit more, for which she did at no extra charge. I just had my (HUGE) wedding gown altered by Linh, and I couldn't be happier. I fell in love all over again with my dress when I tried it on after she finished with it. Rick F. I umpire baseball and it is critical my pants, shirts and jackets always fit well and I look professional on the field all time. I have been coming to Linh for over 6 years to have my pants altered and my shirts and jackets sized. She does a great job and I always receive compliments from my fellow umpires. She always meets her deadlines- which is important to me. I bought my Casablanca wedding dress here, with the best price quote of all the places I visited. Unlike the other big bridal stores, she honestly told me that I could save money by ordering a custom sized dress directly from the designer versus buying the "closest size" and spending hundreds on tailoring costs (which is particularly useful and cost-effective if you're petite). The dress arrived in a timely manner (4-5 months) and fit perfectly :) I was very happy with the product and service and would definitely come back (the owners are very nice too!). read more

This is an awesome place. Linh, the owner/tailor was a great person to work with. We took a bridal dress we bought from David's Bridal to her for alteration. David's Bridal wanted too much and would not alter the dress the way we requested. Linh altered the dress exactly the way we requested for less than we expected. We added boning to the sides of the dress per her excellent recommendation (an option not offered by David's Bridal). The dress turned out beautiful. I would not recommend working with Cassie if you're looking for a positive and respectful environment. Update: I ended up purchasing my dress at Trudy's in a size 4, and it still needs alterations to be taken in further. If I had ordered from Elegant Lace and trusted Cassie's judgment, I would have ended up with a dress that was way too big and required significantly more alterations.

Fairly straightforward, but I did indeed feel slightly uneasy with the communication at first since I'm not used to non-face to face communication for decision making. 1) make appointment to try on dress, 2) send a msg to owner letting them know the dress you want and the date, 3) sign contract - let them know if you need additional alteration and make appointment for the alteration try on, 4) choose/finalize veil, 5) finalize pickup date after alteration try on, 6) final try on and choose jewelry/hair piece if you haven't already on the same day you pick up the dress. I don't have WeChat, so my mom had to help coordinate for a while, but the owner is very responsive through email so I ended up just continuing the communication via email. I love that the veil, jewelry, and hair piece rentals are also included in the price. I wanted to wear all of them, but it was too hectic on actual wedding day so I just let others decide which one I should wear on day of.

She states that she can rush alterations in 2 days but typically takes 7-10 days. If extensive embroidery is required for pieces, she typically has pieces sent to India (to her sister) and returned in 6-8 weeks. She was very friendly and gave me a break down of the types of materials used and the quality work put into her pieces. This is the equivalent of having pieces sent to India to have them made to the latest style, except she's in a local area! I'm excited to have found this place and thoroughly impressed! The owner is such a nice lady and has altered everything for me over the years--suits, shirts, pants, jackets, and today, for the first time, a jersey! Go niners! For the jersey, she not only shortened the length, but also moved the Nike label higher so everything looks completely natural, like it was never altered. She was even able to tighten up the arm area since jerseys naturally tend to fit big. Now it fits perfectly! She's also tailored more than a dozen of my wife's dresses and dressy jackets over the years. We've never had an issue with anything she's done.
