Still my absolute favorite! I want to take this place to Utah with me so bad. Plus, they're gluten friendly and fast! There's no where to sit inside so you have to sit outside. A nice refreshing treat on a hot day! The shaved ice is made with a creamier base, and it reminded me of Taiwanese shaved ice that I've had in the past. The texture just melts in your mouth, and I prefer it over normal shaved ice, which tends to get a little icy and watered down. We tried the strawberry cheesecake, which was a little too sweet, but the strawberry added a nice tartness. Service was excellent, it wasn't crowded so our shaved ice came out quickly. We were also able to get ours to go, but I would suggest eating it within 5-10 minutes since it melts fast. I did see a lot of comments in the reviews regarding price but when I compare the $7 here to a likeit size (small) at coldstone it's less expensive and a lot more flavorful. We had to eat outside in the 90 degree heat. The chocolate flavor on this was as if someone diluted chocolate pudding mix with more water, froze it, and used it for shaved ice. It was not as strong on the chocolate flavor plus it had a strange almost gummy texture too. As a lover of Korean shaved snow, Hawaiian shaved ice, and Taiwanese shaved show, this style and flavor of snow just didn't appeal to me. What a fun and creative way to enjoy ice cream! Its really delicious too! It's so soft and pillowy and instead of shave ice - its ice cream shavings into a beautiful mold with different flavors and toppings on and around the treat! I love how the ice cream melts in your mouth as you are enjoying it. I got the Tuxedo which was chocolate flavored and had more chocolate drizzle around the perimeter with chopped strawberries and chocolate pieces/cookies as well. That one was a 10 out of 10. My husband enjoyed the smores one - he likes the topping but said the vanilla lacked flavor.. he said next time he would try a different flavor that has more pop. The inside is really small and there isn't a menu posted up on a wall which was slightly confusing but if you go up to the counter there are printed menus for viewing. They do sell some merch and the customer service was really friendly. There is no inside tables available at all or any bathrooms but there is a small selection of outside tables plus there are benches along the downtown street so it should be fairly easy to find a place to enjoy. Their shaved ice desserts are simply a work of art and the 2 ladies working tonight did a top of the line job with our order! Service is excellent and friendly. Parking is as expected in Uptown Yucaipa - limited street parking, but somehow there's always a close by parking spot (for the most part). Location is fantastic as it's very near other fun stores in the heart of Uptown Yucaipa. Although this was our first time trying Element, I love that their business has a limited menu selection. What does that mean? It means that their selections were chosen very carefully and only the best shaved ice concoctions made it to their menu. It's not made of 100 varieties that hinder quality and stress out customers due to too many options. Great business model, delicious shaved ice varieties, and excellent customer service. They have a few tables out front in case you'd like to sit down and enjoy basking in their pieces of delicious art. We had the chocolate fudge brownie, morning berry, and Yucaipa sunrise. I never got a real strawberry taste from this, my first bite had a hint of coconut flavor. Possibly a synthetic flavor.
