I did a lot of research on Elevation before moving forward with them a year and half ago and have now experienced them first hand and this is what I have found / experienced: They are the largest local residential solar installer in the entire Southwest region of the US and are located in Las Vegas and Chandler (headquarter). They hold 3 of only 98 NABCEP licenses in the world for solar engineering / design. They also have their own local customer service department and their turnaround time for a service call took only 48 hrs.. very fast. My solar system took only 3 weeks from signing to install... amazing and their install was flawless. They took care of permitting, HOA approval and NVE approvals very quickly. Terrible customer service. Nearly impossible to schedule service. I have roof damage that I believe is a result of my solar installation. I contacted Elevation about the issue weeks ago. They said the next step is to have one of their service providers visit my property to evaluate the situation. Every time I speak with them, they say they will call me back to schedule a time. They never call back, and I have to call their customer service line back again. Rinse and repeat multiple times a week. From start to finish, Elevation has been the best to work with. I did a lot of research and talked to multiple companies, and Elevation by far has it put together the best. I opted to do their Energy Efficiency package to go with my solar panels, along with the Curb monitoring so I can see all my energy usage broken down by room and appliance. I curse the day I purchased my home with Elevation Solar! Their system crapped out (the inverter failed) after just a couple years. And, I did not receive any notice that the system was no longer generating power back to the grid. I only found out after receiving a couple large electric bills. To make matters worse, when I called to get the inverter replaced under warranty, though it showed up the following week, they told me it would be another month before I could get it installed! That means another month of me paying for equipment that doesn't produce any energy on top of me paying 100% for electricity!!! I am not happy with these people! Several months ago rep Daniel Dutton came out to my home and gave me a quote for solar. After looking at the pricing my partner and I decided we were going to pass. Being a new homeowner we had several companies reach out to us to try to get us to do solar. About five months later I got a call from solar elevations. They wanted to give me another estimate and when I said I believe they had already come out to my house they said that they hadn't. I agreed and scheduled a consult with them. The day of my consult Daniel showed up again and I realized it was in fact the same company that had previously quoted me. This time he showed up with his fiancé with an offer that had to be signed that day. He represented himself as vice president of elevations solar. Because the contract looked better but we weren't 100% Daniel advised us we could still cancel the contract within three days. A few days later I received a text stating that another contract had to be signed however this time we were adding a new Electrician that was not previously told to us. They told us it was just a logo change however we were told that solar Elevations was the only company doing the install. Obviously my partner and I decided to look further into it and decided after looking into reviews on the electrical company installer, and the reviews on yelp for elevations solar... that it was not a wise idea to proceed I reached out to Daniel and let him know that we no longer wished to proceed with the contract. He then told me we could put a hold for two weeks while we thought about it. Which was funny because initially he told me they could not do holds..... Next day he texted me and said that there would be a $1500 cancellation fee...... I told him I would not pay the $1500 cancellation fee because I had not signed the secondary contract of a different installer that I was not aware of initially.... So I. Reached out to elevation solar found out; 1.DANIEL IS NOT THE VICE PRESIDENT of solar elevations 2. The company will always work with you if you need time to think about it. 3. The company never forces you to make a decision on the spot as Daniel did I'm thoroughly upset and unimpressed with the sales tactics used and will not ever use daniel as a sales guy! Definitely DONT RECOMMEND this sales guy and suggest you all do thorough research. Always look at what equipment your being Given and then look into the cost of buying it yourself!!! If I could give negative stars I would. This company is horrendous. First off they lie to customers about how their program works. It was explained to me that I would be switching energy providers. The exact words were." You're not taking out a load you're just giving us permission to place panels on your roof. And for that you'll pay us for the energy service and that will just transfer from owner to owner." I specified numerous times I did not want to take a loan. I was assured there wasn't a loan. Until I got a notice from a lending company to finalize the paperwork. At this time I was angry but justified that it's much cheaper anyway so I may as well go through with it. I wish I hadn't. It took months and months before the system was up and running but I was already being charged by the loan company and by my energy company so I was paying both. Finally they got it running. Now this year the panels connected to the system stopped sending a signal that they were producing. I did not notice it because the app doesn't send you any messages that the system stopped communicating or that it's off line. So I checked my nv energy account to see if I was paying more than just a meter bill. And sure enough my bills are the exact same as they were before the solar panels were ever installed. And the company is trying to say that doesn't mean they aren't working I could just be using more energy which is bull because I looked at the trend history on my nv energy account. I've kept relatively the same usage for the five years I've had the account. And even if I was using more energy than the panels produced the bull wouldn't be nearly as high as a full months worth of energy!! It's been an additional two months of me trying to get a technician scheduled and still nothing ! Everytime I call they say okay they will be reaching out shortly to schedule a time for the service. And they never call. Please if anyone has any information on how I can take legal action against this company or if anyone else is currently pursuing that please let me know because this company should not be allowed to operate it has some of the worst customer service and business practices I've ever seen. It stopped communicating with NV Energy in November and I am still waiting for service, all while experiencing high power bills. They required payment up front of course and nothing has been done. An Elevation rep came knocking on my door and was very friendly and didn't hard sell me. I had heard stories from friends who have solar that were basically lied to, but I still decided to give them a chance. He explained to me the difference between Leasing and Purchasing, and I decided the Lease was a better fit since I was planning on moving in a few years. The lease payment is only $150 compared to the $300 bills i was getting in the summer. My NVE bill has only been $18/month for the whole year. In short; atrocious customer service and sales tactics. I waited till I had a full month of use of the system, as well as provided ample time for Elevation to get back to me in response to 2 emails and 2 phone calls that went nowhere. So here we are... When their salesman Jason pitched the system, my biggest and pretty much sole hang up was getting stuck with a solar bill and an electric bill. He assured me and my girlfriend NUMEROUS times that the proposed system would more than cover what we would use and the only bill I'd get from NVE would be for grid connection fees and whatnot. Oh how naive I was... the system he proposed wasn't based off how much my house used on average, or when the AC kicked on, but was based on winter month consumption which is very little. When my AC kicks on, the system falls very short of covering usage, and the system doesn't come close to covering the average use over a 24hr period. I've emailed them twice, and called their concierge team twice. My emails have been ignored and my phone calls went nowhere, leaving me on hold till they hung up. TL;DR They used my ignorance with power consumption averages to sell me a system that far underperforms what I was promised and now I'm paying an electric bill just as high as prior to installation, but now also paying a solar loan that's higher than my electric bill was. I had high hopes for Elevation Solar but they bungled three different installation dates that were spaced out over a period of 3 months. The original installation for panels in my backyard was supposed to have been at the end of March. Elevation Solar was a no call / no show. The customer service rep who was handling my account told me that the surveyor who had initially surveyed my property had not drawn plans to scale for these panels. I was told that the plans would have to be redrawn. Since I had put roughly 1/3rd of the total cost down at the start of this contract with the balance due upon completion, I was not happy when the accounting department for Elevation Solar began contacting me to request payment for the remaining balance. Insofar as the solar panels had not been installed, I didn't see why I should have paid the balance due. I said as much in an email which they ignored. I also complained to my customer service rep and they didn't listen to him either. A month passed. Elevation Solar finally gave me a 2nd installation date. The crew arrived at 7:30 AM. After offloading panels and parts in my backyard, THEY LEFT! They explained that they hadn't brought any tools with them. Why a solar panel installation crew would arrive without the tools needed to actually install these panels is just bizarre. I was not amused when their accounting department again began to harass me for payment for work that was never completed. Elevation Solar subsequently made a third installation appointment for the following week. They were a no call / no show. Customer service explained that they still didn't have all of the parts needed to complete the installation. I don't understand why they scheduled an installation if they were still missing parts. The customer service rep offered me a discount if I would stay with Elevation Solar. I asked him via email how much of a discount we were talking about. I also wanted to know when the installation would be completed. After five days passed without the courtesy of a reply, I requested and received a cancellation of service. The company has promised a refund less the $2000 they charged me for an upgrade to my electrical breaker box. I'm now into the 2nd week following cancellation but no refund has been received. My backyard is still cluttered with solar panel parts. The only response I've had from Elevation Solar to repeated requests to remove these parts have been, "We're working on it." As you can see from the pictures, I now have weeds growing over the panels. This project was a disaster from start to end. Part of the problem appears to be with the quality of internal communications between customer service, operations, and accounting. Operations had several issues but didn't share these issues with customer service. This resulted in customer service scheduling installation dates that operations had already decided were not feasible. This also resulted in their accounting department repeatedly billing me for work that had never been done. Edit: 5/22/2020 Although I was told by customer service that it would take WEEKS to issue a refund, after this problem was kicked up to management, my refund was expedited. Management also made arrangements to pick up the solar panel parts that had been left in my backyard for several weeks. Management subsequently asked me to edit my review. Received a telemarketing call from a guy who knew my name and address. He told me that they had been to my home "before Covid" to review information with me. This is not true. I only worked with several companies before Covid and Elevation wasn't one of them. I know this for a fact because I kept a spreadsheet outlying the good and bad points of each company that I was working with. Elevation wasn't one of them. So right off the bat, they are misleading customers into thinking they already had built up a relationship with them in the past. Everyone has different experiences with solar companies, some good and some bad but for me Elevation Solar is the best. They were my first and only solar company and I have been with them for well over 5 years. The few times I decided to call usually a person would answer the phone. If the person I needed to Talk to was not in I would a message not really expecting to get a prompt response. I was very surprised to get a call back the same day. I was even more surprised that I have received several calls over the years just them checking to see how my system was working and if everything was fine. The calls were from different Elevation folks, but all the call started off the same way, "Hello Bill this is so and so with Elevation Solar, I just want to check to make sure your system is operating fine." I feel like a person with Elevation Solar not just a number. If you are interested in Solar Panels, I think you should at least contact Elevation Solar and get your questions answered. I'm not getting any compensation for this review, Its just a great company with great equipment and customer service. And I just want to spread the word. Do not do business with Elevation Solar. If you do, you will regret it for years as I do. My $60,000 cash system was installed in 2020 and I have yet to have a complete year of service without interruption. In the first couple of years I had to deal with completely incompetent people that were very difficult to reach and did not return messages in a timely manner. Scheduling a service was nearly impossible. I believe they lied about my service being monitored for the first year because I was never notified of any problems that were occurring. I had to monitor it and try to get a response. A couple of years ago, I was without my backup battery due to needing a very small battery the size of a AA which they did not have available. It took a couple of weeks for them to locate one and then did not schedule it to be installed for a month. That was during the top production period of July and August. I lost all of my 3,000kwh credit which had been accumulated and had a large bill from the electric company on top of that. I sincerely hoped this year would be the one that I would be happy with. Unfortunately that is not so. Right now I am furious, frustrated and ready to file a lawsuit against Elevation Solar, the worst company I have ever dealt with. On March 3, 2025 I was given the name of a new person in charge after calling a service person that had worked on my system in the past. I had what I thought was a good and promising conversation with a new man in charge that informed me the incompetent people were gone and he would definitely help me. I only have 2/3 of my system working right now due to a PV Link being locked out. In the past 17 days since speaking to him, several of my texts requesting updates have been ignored, and he did not get back to me with a service appointment as he promised a week ago. It seems nothing has changed in the last five years. In the past, I have had good people come out to do repairs. They are not the problem. Management is horrible, lies and does not follow through with promises. Using Elevation Solar was a huge mistake on my part. I had a solar system in California for 11 years with only 2 service calls necessary which were done within 24 hours. I now have 5 years of documentation, phone calls, texts, and emails proving they don't give a damn once they get their money. Filing a LAWSUIT may be my only recourse. This is my third inverter and the technician swapped the inverter and never programmed it. Now I am on the phone with customer service from Columbia. The customer service reps have always been great and very helpful. The company is horrible. Not a single year goes by that I didnt have issues with my system. Either the inverter is not communicating or just not working... Its the inverter or communication or power systems. Be aware, buying solar is like buying a car.. there no get out of jail clause.. you are stuck ! Do your research before you commit. I was told when I purchased solar from this company I would get close to $5,000 tax credit. You only get the credit if you qualify. As a single, working mom who was finishing a Masters, I was on welfare most of the year, with the exception of 3 months unemployment. I did not qualify for the tax credit. This is probably pointless at this point with all the one-star reviews, but here is my story anyways. I was approached by a sales rep from Elevation Solar and I agreed to the terms of the contract. We use a lot of power at my house and I know I needed a huge grid. This process with Elevation has been a big pain in the rear. Nobody at Elevation seems to know what is going on, I have to call almost every day to see if they have anybody working on my project. Again there are no answers. I got hit with a $1,000 power bill because this project is taking so long, and the finance company started charging for the solar and I can't even use it. If you decide to use these guys beware, and make sure you read the contract and make them commit to timelines so that you don't get screwed holding a bill for something you can't use. read more

I find it challenging to believe that this company doesn't have a 1 rating on this site. The lack of integrity displayed by the Salesperson and Management is appalling. Our Sales representative, Joe Ordia, assured us that he would remain with us throughout the process and that the solar loan would not begin until after the installation was signed off. However, Joe disappeared after signing the paperwork, and two months after Elevation received the money from the Loan company, the solar loan payback started and the panels were not even on the roof. During those two months, we could not check our account to monitor payments, and we were charged interest on the loan. Once the panels were installed, the installers left out a crucial component, which would become a significant problem. The biggest problem with this company is the absence of communication. Our panels sat on our roof for almost six months because Elevation submitted inaccurate information. The company promised a "concierge" to assist with the process, but after Kassie Schy was promoted, she stopped responding to our emails. We went through twenty customer service representatives (Jeff Schoonover, Mers, Devon, Christian, Michelle Andersen, Amanda Miller, Jake, Araxy Suarez and many others that we didn't get the names written down), none of whom could solve the problem. We finally spoke to a manager named Karen Morton, who promised to address the issue, including reimbursing us for our electric bill while waiting for the panels to be operational. After a month passed with no action, we talked to Alex Langbartels, who assured us that he would take care of everything and even gave us his personal cell number. He promised to reimburse us for the loan payments, which we had to pay while waiting for the system to become operational. After over seven months, we finally received approval from the energy company, but because the component was left off in the initial installation, we had to wait another 3 weeks for an electrician to be dispatched. We requested a phone call to notify us when the electrician would arrive, but we never received it. Fortunately, electrician Skye, who had requested that we be given a call before he came out, was frustrated with the lack of communication we had been dealing with and took it upon himself to paint the parts required to meet the HOA agreement Elevation had signed. The electrician gave me Debbie Lui's name in the hope she would become the point of contact to resolve the issues we had been experiencing, and help with the so called reimbursement; but the reimbursement process has been slow to non-existent. We have made many attempts to contact the company regarding this matter with no response. In the first week of March 2023 we were told that the reimbursement was "approved" on Feb 8th and that I would be getting it "soon". As of this post (May15) we have not received a check or any information on where it is other than "I'll let the escalation team know". Debbie's supervisor, Modesto, came out to talk to me about the issues I had been having and to let me know that the reimbursement was "approved", but again, nothing has been done. It's all talk. I strongly advise everyone to steer clear of this company. They have demonstrated their incompetency time and again. Despite all the challenges, the system is now operational and functional, but the process took way too long due to the incompetence displayed by several people in the company. The entire process (without any promised reimbursement) took from May 2022 to January 2023. In that time, 3 other houses in our neighborhood had their solar installed within 3 months of them signing the contract. And the delay in all of this was simply that Elevation was unable to put in the proper paperwork to the electrical company. No other delays or problems, they just couldn't do that one thing. HOW can I trust that this company will stand by any of their "guarantees" if they can not do some of the most basic things? Most of this could have been solved by a simple SPREADSHEET that all of their employees could access and update. That and clearly communicating with the customer! read more

The WORST customer service we have ever experienced. Buyer's remorse doesn't begin to describe the feeling we feel having signed on to use a company's product/equipment when that company clearly doesn't care about us. We signed our contract in July 2019, made our first payment in December 2019, but didn't have all our equipment installed and working properly until March 2020. During this time, there were times when we had to reach out to them to spur activity/progress on our inspections or installation. We also sent multiple emails that were either never responded to or were not responded to for two weeks or more. A few months ago we connected with two different Customer Service Specialists than had previously helped us to try to get answers to questions we never received a response to. Unfortunately, our customer service experience hasn't been any better with these two specialists. On 9/9 we emailed them to report an issue with our equipment and followed up with them on 9/20. Today's 10/3 and still no response. In the meantime, our equipment isn't functioning properly and there's no hope of getting it resolved any time soon - again. In addition, we were told there was a promotion going on if we signed up during July 2019. We've asked about these items multiple times, but as of October 2020, we haven't received them. They also failed to let us know about pigeon protection, which we had an exterminator tell us earlier this week we should have been offered and would now have to pay $2300 to resolve. read more

We spent a lot of time interviewing solar installers and ended up going with Elevation Solar because of Bob and his team. They were so incredibly helpful and professional, making the design process easy and installation seamless. For a friend: Outstanding Company!!! I have wanted to get solar for years, but I never got a good feeling from any of the other solar companies. That all changed with Imperial Solar. Worst company you can ever deal with. Got the panels installed end of february,if i was not stressing them out pretty much weekly i wouldnt have my system up and runnig by the end of OCTOBER!!! Nonexistent customer service,several complaints made to the managers Sergie and then another manager called Karen (go figure....) which is supposed to be the customer satisfaction mgr They made serveral mistakes over and over,never completed the job in time (excluding installation but its noteven them so that prolly y),disgraceful customer service,they owe me almost $1000 in payments but they dont want to pay it til the system is up and running (they even lied about it and told me to my face oh ur check will be out this week...), they never call u back unless you call them a billions times (main or managers doesnt matter)! We had installation of solar panel April 2023. The panels are still not working. Elevation Solar and Alpine Electric don't respond. Buyer beware. We live in Las Vegas. Would give them 0 stars if possible. Had my solar system (with a battery backup) installed a few months ago. The primary reason I sought solar was to save a little on energy costs, help the environment and my neighborhood suffers frequent (monthly) power outages. Elevation solar seemed like a nice option. However, since the install, the battery system has yet to work during a power outage. This past weekend was the worst. There was a brief power flicker at 2pm and then I lost power to half of my house. Since it was the weekend - calling Elevation was a no go. I had to have an electrician come help and he informed me the battery and solar system was doing nothing. Called Elevation only to be told they can come look at it - "in 72 hours". Asked to escalate my call to someone higher up and was told - "in 72 hours - that's how customer support here works". Would NOT use this company for Solar. Bad products. Bad Customer support. No empathy or interest in fixing things. They got my money that's all they wanted. read more
