Happy hour is daily from open-6:30pm. You're able to make reservations. I've always walked in and got a seat. Today I got the oysters again. These are the biggest oysters I've been served at a restaurant/lounge. Can't beat the price...$2!!! The mini corn muffins ($10) were also good- yes they are small and there were only 4 or 5 of them (sorry I didn't get a pick). You can eat them in 1 bite, but it is good.

Food/Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 This place is located in Foodland Ala Moana, so you can park anywhere at the mall. I believe they have 2 entrances: a red door outside of Foodland and a wooden door if you walk inside of Foodland past the flower section. We made a reservation off OpenTable and came here for a Galentine's Day night. This place was super chill and lowkey with people coming and going. My friend and I ordered off the Valentine's Day special menu and another cocktail each from the menu. For food the lobster croquettes were delicious and looked aesthetic. We snacked on the house chips, which tasted like vinegar but the dip complemented it well. My friend and I enjoyed the Oolong Rogue cocktail since we like our cocktails on the sweeter side. I really enjoyed my time spent here. The service was amazing and staff were very friendly. I can see myself coming again since I love the lowkey vibe it gives + the cocktails are amazing!

Definitely a cool fancy bar. We came for some drinks after the Punahou Carnival. We just had some munchies after a night of crowds. I love scallops. So I tried Hokkaido Scallops and it was yummy. And the homemade chips were delightful. The server was very fun and friendly. Great night.

Elevated brunch that will have you intrigued. This place was giving speakeasy vibes while being very creative with the regular buffet style food and adding subtle flavors for taste. That restaurant is a little in the smaller side, but definitely a great place for brunch dates or a quick bite for a small group. All your fave food and more. The prime rib was excellent with delicious condiments - personal fave was the chimichurri. All the cocktails are great as well. Fave was the Bean Buzz martini (espresso martini but with cold brew). The staff there was so helpful and with choosing cocktails and being able to make some changes to drinks. When I originally made my res, I accidentally made it for 10:30pm rather than am. The waitress called to double check. I've never had someone call for my mistake. (Thank you so much Cynthia!) great bartender, and a man who kept egging me on to eat more (I'm not complaining). Great vibes, great food, and great drinks! I will be back!

This was a great treat. Who knew this was tucked away in Foodland? You need to make reservations, and when you walk in, you are treated like family. Great place for brunch. It's family friendly, and no one really leaves here hungry. They had a great selection of salads, prime rib, and desserts. I need to come back to take advantage of the other great foods I missed.

I had read about Eleven in the Honolulu magazine and had bookmarked it to try. Several attempts in the past to get a reservation didn't happen so I booked this about two months in advance. We arrived at 9:30 and it wasn't very busy. Note, there is a 90 minute time limit for your meal, which is fair. There is a really nice array of food choices, though this buffet is small. It's not like Halekulani or Kahala big, but like I said, they have some tasty options. There's even a beef roast carving. The only thing we didn't care for was the kimchee hash browns. I also didn't get a chance to try the chia seed parfait. But we sampled everything, not once, not twice, but three times! LOL! I think our saving grace was the amount of cocktails the two of us ordered. They have the best espresso martinis we've had so far in the city. They even let us stay a little over the time limit...since we had our last martini to finish. The service is warm and friendly! Thank you Jin! Also the bartender, but we didn't get his name. For the price, I felt it was a good deal! I would definitely be back and also to try their evening service. Mahalo Eleven

Happy times at Eleven! Got to catch up with friends, Terry K. and Peter C., over small bites and drinks. My friend made reservations in the early evening and the bar was quiet. It's a bit hidden in Foodland but once you check in there's a bar area plus tables with booths and high tops. Super cozy but a relaxed spot to hang out. Service by all staff was efficient and kind. They ordered House Fried Potato Chips, Popcorn, Bacon Candy, and Roasted Beets for the table. All were good snacking foods, nothing fancy or impressive but went well with the drinks. If you like creative drinks or want a place to stop and sip in Ala Moana, Eleven is a place to try! It's tucked away in Foodland, just walk through and you'll find it in the back. Plenty of parking in Ala Moana.

Eleven is located in the mall on the ground floor Ewa side. You can enter from either Foodland Farms or from the mall side. One shouldn't get the feeling as if you're inside of a grocery store, but rather a cozy bar with a great selection of bourbon, whiskies, and spirits. I've only come here for lite bites and drinks. The bartenders and servers are friendly. Service is just the way I like it with smiles.

Tucked inside the Ala Moana Mall Foodland you can find Eleven, a surprisingly great cocktail bar that's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. We stopped in for happy hour and caught the bamboocha oysters just in time, these things were huge and super fresh. Paired them with the popcorn and bacon and it all just worked. The cocktails were dialed in, balanced, clean, and clearly made by bartenders who know what they're doing. Service stood out too, our server gave us a heads up that happy hour was closing so we could get one last round in, which was appreciated. The vibe is relaxed but still feels like a step up from your typical food court stop. It's a great spot to meet friends or sit down for something a little more low-key but still quality. It does get busy, so plan ahead, but we'll definitely be back.

The variety of options here got me coming for their Winter Buffet $35 AYCE. Made a reservation early because walk in is difficult. For the price of buffet, it's pretty good. There were variety of brunch options of meat, seafood, pastry, and dessert. Refer to my photos for the food. The food was pretty good. Desserts were available like cheesecake and tarts but would need to ask them since it is in the fridge. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here.

Came here to start our foodland dinning passport and the whiskey deals! Food was great but service was mediocre. Went on a Thursday at 5:30p and got seated right away but pretty much after we got our food we hardly ever got checked on unless we made eye contact with the server for something. We ordered the candied bacon, chips, and beef & brioche. The bacon was soooo good! And the chips were warm and crispy and the aioli had a good spice to it! Drink wise my boyfriend had the yamazaki 12yr neat and I had a cocktail off the menu- I just asked for something pina colada tasting. Came out good! I appreciated they made something based on that since I prefer sweeter tasting cocktails. Overall we'd probably come back but hope we get better service next time.

Eleven is located on the ground floor of Ala Moana on the Piikoi side of the mall. It's actually connected/inside Foodland, but you can enter from the outside. Eleven is one of the Foodland restaurants and it's nicely decorated and a little bougie. They usually are open for evenings and offer a wide drink selection and a small food menu. I really love Foodland and all of this bougie new restaurants and concepts. Especially when they first came out with these fancy dining experiences, I would often go to the wine bar or et al at kahala. I've been to Eleven several times too and even came here with half of my wedding guests for drinks after our reception. It was great! I've had a few experiences recently at Foodland restaurants that are less than great. I've also ran into former employees who have quit because they said things are different now. I hope this isn't an end to my love for everything Foodland. The cocktails are interesting. I like fruity drinks and thought eleven would have fresh juice cocktails since Foodland offers like 12 different kinds of fresh juice and aqua frescas. I was wrong. When I asked the waitress for a fruity cocktail rec she said that the low alcohol pineapple cocktail or the rose cocktail are the only 2. Well I didn't want a low alcohol content beverage and the rose cocktail didn't actually have any fruit ingredients in it. So I asked if I could make the low alcohol pineapple cocktail more alcoholic and she said adding a shot would make it a $30 drink. No thanks. So I got the rose one. The waitress was right. It tasted fruity, but I was definitely skeptical because it didn't have any fruit in it. I recently came to eleven for their weekend brunch. Usually I don't think eleven is open during the day, but on weekends, they offer a weekend brunch buffet for $35 per person. The brunch included some pastries, chia seed parfaits, French toast, eggs, breakfast sausages, tater tots, fried rice, fruit, shrimp cocktail and a carving station. I actually really enjoyed the bunch because it seemed affordable and the offerings were all really good. It's not a very wide selection of foods, but everything was made really well. I liked that the carving station had precut slices of beef and it sounds crazy, but the chia seed parfait might have been my favorite part. The service was good and the brunch comes with iced tea, but at only $35 per person, I would maybe slpurge on a Bloody Mary or mimosa next time.

It's a dessert the employee gave. I was too full to eat it but my date enjoyed it

Went on a Sunday 11am. Place wasn't crowded not even noisy. Food option was good for $40 buffet. Workers were friendly always filling up our water and taking plates away. Nice to have a restaurant/buffet bidding at alamoana foodland.

Are they have more vegetarian options?

Is tank top and shorts cool? Saw a review claiming business casual but don't see any reference on their site.

Of course, they won't escort you out, but a nice t shirt is good.

Are they kid friendly? Provide high chairs? Etc

They have high chair, but I won't said they are that kids friendly even for their weekend brunch buffet.

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

It is why you've searched for EP bar, looked over various reviews, and randomly found yourself reading thru the first few lines of this review. Well, welcome Dear Reader, and I hope what I'm about to share peaks your interest to visit EP Bar. I had my 2nd visit to EP Bar earlier this month with friends for some after dinner drinks. We did make a res, but there were some walk-ins while we there, so it's probably recommended but not necessary. We perused the menu, and our 1st round consisted of: Ringo Star Strawberry Fields Forever Pho Us By Us Hail Mary Any guesses on the drink I chose? It's related to the Beatles. If you guessed Ringo Star.....take another guess. The Strawberry Fields Forever was very refreshing. Recommended. My partner ordered the Hail Mary, which (sadly) wasn't to his liking, and he happily "helped" me finish my drink before ordering his own in the next round. I chose the Ringo Star as my next drink, and I'd say if you're a fan of Mr. Star and/or apples, this drink is right up your orchard. Recommended. SERVICE The service is friendly, mixed with a splash of polite, and served with patience and knowledge. BOTTOM LINE A great place for drinks. Casual ambiance/vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Recommended.

Fifteen minutes west of Waikiki, you'll find yourself in a completely different Hawaii…read more Honolulu's Chinatown feels worlds away from the beachfront resorts and postcard-perfect sunsets. The neighborhood is vibrant, gritty, and alive--a mix of Chinese, Southeast Asian, and Native Hawaiian influences layered over historic buildings, glowing neon signs, art galleries, and hidden cocktail dens. It reminded me a bit of New Orleans: worn facades with stories to tell, creative energy around every corner, and the sense that the best experiences are often tucked behind an unassuming door. Which makes it the perfect home for EP Bar. "EP" stands for Extend Play, a fitting name for a place built around music. Long before listening bars became fashionable in Los Angeles, New York, and London, there were the jazz kissa of Japan--small cafés where people gathered not to drink or dance, but to listen. Records spun through carefully tuned sound systems while patrons sat immersed in the music. The music wasn't background noise. It was the main event. Walking into EP Bar, you can feel traces of that tradition. The room is intimate and inviting. Reservations are highly recommended because the place fills up quickly on weekend nights. Once inside, the atmosphere hits a sweet spot. The music is loud enough to create a mood and provide privacy for conversation, yet never so overpowering that it dominates the room. Loud enough to muffle the secrets being shared between old friends. Loud enough to drown out the office gossip that somehow followed everyone from the coffee machine into happy hour. The soundtrack isn't just playing--it's setting the tone. As an Old Fashioned guy, my choice was easy. I ordered a Oaxaca OF, which swaps traditional whiskey for mezcal. Smoky, balanced, and memorable, it felt like the kind of drink that rewards slow sipping between tracks. Another member of our group went with the Pho Us By Us. To nobody's surprise except perhaps her own, it tasted a little salty. Considering the ingredients--Green Chile Vodka, Sake, Pho Spice, Lemon, and Soda--it was probably the most honest cocktail description I've ever seen. The drink tasted exactly like its name suggested. That's part of the fun here. The menu doesn't hide behind clever marketing. Drinks like Thai Me Down and Candy Rain practically dare you to order them. Not every note landed perfectly. Service was a little off-beat during our visit. But like any live performance, sometimes the rhythm isn't flawless. Thankfully, the vibes, decor, music, and overall experience more than carried the set. What I appreciated most was that EP Bar doesn't feel like a gimmick. It feels like a genuine continuation of a tradition that began decades ago in Japan's listening cafés, traveled across oceans, and found a home in Honolulu's Chinatown. It's a place where music matters, conversation flows, and the pace of the evening slows down just enough to appreciate both. The place slaps for what it is--and for what it isn't. In a world increasingly filled with distractions, EP Bar invites you to do something refreshingly simple: sit down, have a great drink, listen to great music, and be present. I'll definitely be back. After all, every good record deserves another spin, and I'm curious to see how the needle lands next time.

There wasn't much of anything other than the single rickhouse area, so when we went back in 2025 it was nice to see how much they had expanded. A nice, full tasting bar, plenty of seating area (outdoor and indoor), and an expanded rickhouse. The employees are friendly and give great recommendations. Definitely loved seeing how much they've grown in the 4 years since we visited. They had more expressions to try this time around, which was great because I got to do a flight of their releases. My wife got a cocktail which she enjoyed. This place is definitely a good vibe for any whiskey lover visiting O'ahu!

Great space hidden in the back of an industrial zone (with nice landscaping FYI) this distillery…read moreoffers tours and craft cocktails with live entertainment / trivia nights plus food trucks. The night we went there were 2 musicians playing great music and taking requests. One even had a trombone! There are lounge couches, high tops and picnic style tables, some indoor, some outdoor under a tent. Nice local art on walls. We loved the craft cocktails especially the Old Fashioned. The tasting board of their different blends was great too! Taco night was some darn good home cooking ! Carlitos is a family run business and you can tell they really care about the food. We had the pork tacos and the pork was amazing! The refried beans were some of the best we ever had. This distillery is fun for couples, families, and groups of friends. There are also some games around for little kids, who were hanging in the outdoor tent. Definitely worth a visit !

Had a glass of wine and baby had watered down lemonade. Her drinks were put in plastic cups with covers and those horrible paper straws. Eyes always bigger than my stomach, we ordered: - Cornbread - when i grabbed it I thought would be super dense but really wasn't. I thought it was very corny and tasty. Lightly toasted. Honey drizzle which wasn't too sweet...or maybe I just ate the parts that didn't have. Baby ate almost 1.5 pieces and even liked the Jalapeno Butter that I just dabbed on her bread. She said wasn't spicy but think she just didn't have enough. - Bone Marrow - lit it on fire to burn off the alcohol. Pretty sure it ddin't get it all so I cut baby off once I realized it. Other than needing some salt, really good. Choke mushrooms on top. One half was scrawny, but hubs had the other half for leftovers and choke marrow. YUM. - Sunchoke and Brussels - YUM. Baby ate some but was not really thrilled about it. I loved it. - Scallop and Mushroom Risotto - YUM. Delish. Baby liked it too. So much leftovers of everything. Realized when we ate it for leftovers it was all pretty oily and needed a pinch of salt. But otherwise great. Staff really nice and helpful. Love that the place is spread out and open. Bathrooms are not assigned which I'm sure can get gross, but is great to not have to wait for just the women's. There is a big stall which was perf since baby is potty training and had to go #1 and #2! Only thing missing was a hook to hang my purse and her bag. Great dinner...but if anyone is listening...bring back the shrimp and grits!!!
