I'm not gonna totally bash them because it seems like people really like them. I went today and their waiting area is so strange. The have folks line up in the dark hallway of a shared building. There's no host desk or booth. Just a sign saying wait here to be seated. We waited for five minutes behind a couple other parties. My wife went in to ask. They said to ask the hostess at the front. We waited a little longer and didn't see anyone and left. It otherwise looked well staffed with open tables. So I just don't understand. It's not really fair to make people wait that long with no indication of how long they'll have to wait to see the hostess. And then no indication of how long they'll have to wait after that. Every other restaurant has a simple way of addressing this which they're not capable of? So strange. I went a few years ago and the food was solid. So not the worst place but not amazing either. Our first time at Eli's was a success! We decided to switch up from our typical breakfast joint and ended up at Eli's this time. The place was busy on late Saturday morning, but we did not wait long to be seated. It's bustling and full of life, but not too loud that you can't hear. I ordered the island breakfast which was two english muffins with avocado, poached egg, and house pico de gallo on top. Homefries and hot sauce came with order and I chose to add some bacon ala carte. The Mr. got the Rise n' Shine which is your typical standard breakfast, eggs your style, choice of meat, homefries, and toast. We ordered blueberry pancakes to share, and we didn't realize how big they would be! Service was quick and friendly and the portions were big for a reasonable price. The food was definitely fresh and super tasty, different types of hot sauce are also available on the shelf to choose for your liking. The pancakes were big but they were light and fluffy, which made them easy to demolish. I am so happy I found this gem of a restaurant, and I can't wait to come back again! read more

The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch and is usually crowded.The staff are pros and turn over tables at an excellent pace, without making your meal & socializing feel rushed at all The location is great, too, tucked along Washington st downtown in close proximity to some wonderful stores where you can work off your meal while flexing your shopping muscles! read more

Just down the street from the Natick T stop is Eli's. The small parking lot was full but we easily found street parking. Cozy restaurant with a breakfast and lunch menus. The Take Two breakfast was an ample serving of two eggs, two LARGE pancakes, and a choice of meat. The pastrami Ruben was a generous size with French fries and the grilled cheese with bacon and tomato was declared to be outstanding. Very good food at a reasonable price. Enjoy! read more

Wow! What a GREAT surprise!! Took a chance with El's and were we ever impressed. Ham and cheese and the Turkey Rachel both outstanding. Bread grilled to perfection with just the right amount of cheese and fillings. Flavorful and not too filling. Get the sweet potato fries and ask to have them crispy. I've been to Eli's a couple times now. A local spot close to the house this is one of my families go-to when we're thinking about going out for brunch on the weekends. Most of the times I have been we have had to wait to be seated, but no longer than 30 minutes. The inside isn't too big and sometimes you will need to stand outside if there are too many people waiting inside. But on a nice day it's no problem. I prefer savory brunch items than sweet. So I've ordered the Classic Benny and Island Breakfast on different occasions. The classic benedict was good however the hollandaise sauce tasted a little off to me. I also enjoyed the Island Breakfast, which was like a glorified avocado toast. Whenever I see Portuguese sweet muffin on the menu I gotta have it! I also love pico de gallo so this menu item was screaming at me. Brunch isn't complete with out home fries, and I love the home fries here at Eli's. My sisters love getting the pancakes and a side of tater tots. The tots are always super crunchy on the outside and potato-y on the outside. Perfect in my opinion. Defintiely recommend coming here for breakfast or brunch! read more

First, the ambiance isn't as nice as I thought it would be. The restaurant was almost full when I arrived, and was extremely noisy. The crescendo of all the people talking was deafening and not conducive at all to a casual conversation. Second, the service was good overall and I can't complain about that at all. Third, the food was virtually tasteless. I had a Patty Melt sandwich on Rye bread. The meat was cooked medium with a little pink showing in the middle, but it really didn't have all that much flavor compared to other Patty Melt sandwiches I've had. The melted Swiss cheese was "there" but hardly noticeable flavor-wise. The most disappointing aspect of this sandwich were the onions. Not only were they essentially tasteless (no onion flavor at all), but actually reminded me of having been soaked in water! While the French Fries were visually as expected, they really had no potato flavor, and were not as crispy on the outside as they should have been. This place is S'GOOD!!! Maybe one of the best breakfasts that I've had, and every item that passed me in a servers hand looked equally as delicious. I ultimately went with a dark roast iced coffee and the veggie omelet (added bacon - needed a little meat at least). The iced coffee was perfect and I'd come here just to grab a coffee. The omelet was PHAT and had an even distribution of toppings to egg and of course the cheese was perfectly distributed throughout without being overpowering. Bacon was a perfect crisp, home fries were fluffy but not floppy by any means, and the rye toast perfectly browned and buttered. Adorable little spot for breakfast. Best egg sandwich I have ever had! The biscuit it came on had to have been baked just that morning. This was not a tiny sandwich, either; and came with delicious home fries. I'm a stickler about my coffee and this passed the test! My family members also had delicious waffles and eggs. They are located right downtown and have a small free parking lot adjacent to the restaurant. Liquor is available at breakfast, but only after 11. I came in looking for some iced coffee and delicious pancakes. Eli's consists of one room with about 15 two top tables, very small (size does matter) and noisy. After the first bite I KNEW I would need to run to their non-existent bathroom. My hands were so greasy after breakfast burger but there was no sink... DO NOT get the iced coffee; even after adding cream and sugar somehow the coffee was even worse. Every sip was more and more like sewer water. The "Belgian Waffles" did not taste very German, pretty much like regular waffles at best. We used to come here very often but this place has fallen like the Berlin Wall. I couldn't tell who our server was, there was a different person for each part of the operation, who was our tip going to? Probably the owner, what a shame. We left in search of a bathroom and some real coffee as fast as we could after the check came in a binder clip with a driving school pen. Definitely worth a try :) read more

This is my first time coming here and I must say I'm very impressed. They have a nice outdoor dining area set up under a tent. I was greeted by a very friendly server named Serge. Within moments we had ice coffees. Definitely fast service even though the place was busy. For my meal I ordered the Gold Rush Omelette. It's filled with ham, bell peppers, onions, and cheese with wheat toast and home fries. It didn't take long to get our food. The omelette was HUGE and LOADED with it's ingredients! The home fries were unreal and cooked to perfection! As we sat the owner, Eli came around to all the tables to speak with the patrons. He was very friendly and it's a family run operation. Great local breakfast/brunch place located in Natick Center! My coworkers have been coming here religiously for takeout lunch here. Favorites include the salads, burgers and breakfast items. Service is also wonderful. Went here for a long Friday lunch at 1PM, and my table of 6 all chose breakfast items. We arrived just in time, as all the tables filled up soon after. Prices are reasonable, between $8 to $15 depending on what you get. For breakfast, there is pancakes, omelettes, breakfast sandwiches, and the usual big breakfast platters. For lunch, there is a good selection of salads, sandwiches and burgers. There is something for everyone! During my visit, I got the HEY CAP ($8.99) which was a great breakfast sandwhich with two over-easy eggs, capicola, baby arugula, cheddar, cajun remoulade on a Broiche bun. The home fries served as a side was amazing too - crispy on the outside and nice and fluffy inside. My coworkers enjoyed their breakfast bowl and omelettes. I'll be back! read more
