When we called for moving items to both a storage unit and an apartment, they were professional over the phone and sent three employees which was definitely appreciated. Jesse, John, and Arron were great throughout the about five hours of helping us move. All throughout the move they had a very positive attitude, and it was clear they handled all of our items with care. They made sure our furniture pieces and other fragile items were wrapped up to be transported safely. They even helped with repairing a minor furniture fix they noticed before moving the item, showing how they both inspect each item as well as look out for their customers. Moving to a fifth floor in an apartment with a far elevator was definitely a challenge so made sure to warn them in advance! They did a great job filling the elevator each time to speed up the move. Overall, we were very happy with how quickly and professionally they helped us move items to both our storage unit and apartment. Definitely appreciated their care with all of our items. They set up packing and moving my 4 BR house for 1 day. I called back and asked if they could do that in a day. They didn't know and asked me what I thought..... I said doubtful. Then they kept telling me if they go over 8 hours, by law I have to pay overtime..... finally I told them they are not my employees so by law that is BS. Elite needs to pay them overtime..... This company is a SCAM! Do not under any circumstances hire them. I didnt even take a photo of the window they broke. They were careless with our items - said our move would take 1-2 days it took 3 days - AND they didn't even finish moving us. We ended up kicking them out on the 3rd day. Entire rooms were left behind. Easily the worst move I have ever experienced of my life I dont have the space or time to go into all the details. They quoted us one price and tried to charge us double on the 3rd day for overtime???? Because they were slow and sent a truck that was too small and only 3 people to move a 5 bedroom home they wanted me to pay more? We refused to sign the paperwork and they charged us anyways which is fraud. Now they are receiving reverse charges and a lawsuit. Someone needs to shut these people down. It was awful and ugly! Be very careful because these guys will hound you to do your move and they tell you to be careful of movers who nickel and dime you to death, so you end up choosing them and then the day before your move they hit you with the nickel and dimes. We never received a notice the day before because it went to our spam folder so we were unaware of the possible charges. Then at the end we got hit for multiple charges and I told them that I only wanted the free blankets for everything and I got charged for a complete roll of bubble wrap ($95) and other rolls of bubble wrap. Then after they finished the movers added their own personal tip for the move which was $200. Never in my life have I ever seen anything like this. We then called the owner and it got ugly and he threatened me and told me that he was going to call the police on me because I wasn't going to pay for things unrelated to the move that they were demanding that I pay including an astronomical tip (20%) which is bull because we were already paying for their hourly charges. It took them all day to stop and continually try to figure out how to get my whole apartment into this truck that was too small. Ended up not being able to so they have not fulfilled the contract. Didn't get the whole place moved so I have to go back and do it with pick up trucks and friends which defeated the purpose of the movers in the first place. the owner came to find out what the problem was because The senior mover guy kept calling him and telling him that we did not have the room in the truck he told me that he would send it back again the next day but that he would charge me again I declined. He dead face and told me to my face, that I had too much stuff How dare you ! at the end of the day after every piece of furniture is damaged or completely destroyed he charged me $2300 Which I refused to pay because he charged me 13 hours which wasn't my fault since he sent too small a truck in the first place and the job is not done so he didn't fulfill his contract. and then he told me that he was going to call the police and have the police arrest me Because I wasn't going to pay his bill of course I'm not gonna pay his bill it's extortion! I gave him 1400 which is I feel reasonable for what they did considering I have to do the rest of it and replace furniture . I've included pictures, I've had to completely replace the dresser I have to repair the kitchen floor One of the bookcases I can use although shorter because the bottom broke off of it , every finish off of every piece of wood needs repair, the guys were great they were working with an inferior size truck and a Boss that just would not listen and a boss that was A ridiculous kind of human and the way he spoke to his employees in front of the client was the worst kind of human but the way that he talked to me as a client this man should not be in business at all. But he had the $300 initial That he had taken out of my card and I authorized the 1100 after that but instead of taking the 1100 straight up he took four different pulls with different amounts of money I have a feeling that he was trying to get his 2300 and my card shut him down Because why wouldn't he just take the 1100 that was authorized why would you try to put it in different amounts which I also included in the pictures This man should not be in business and his employees should go somewhere else and get a different job that they be treated not as caged animals but have the wherewithal that if their boss didn't even come out to estimate and estimated over the phone and didn't listen to the client and what the client was saying and then turned around and said you have too much stuff to the client , of course, all my stuff for storage is inside it's going to go into a new home which was a bigger than a one bedroom but it doesn't matter if I have too much stuff or not how dare you say that to a client when you are a moving company hired to move an apartment what would've happened if I had been moving out of state and didn't have the ability to come back on my own at a later date this man should not be in business . read more

They gave me a discount to give a 5 star review, but their service never sat well with me. They show up on the day of my move and said I have 2 bedrooms worth of stuff for a studio apartment. Really? How was I supposed to know that? Would have helped if they looked at what I was moving beforehand. They charged extra to wrap my furniture in plastic. Furthermore, because I lived in an apartment building, all my belongings were scattered in the hallways and the elevator until it was placed in the truck. Buyer beware they say. This management of this company is just short a scam. I received a flyer in the mail saying the hourly rate for two men was $129 which was great. However, they use false advertising and do add on's when the job is done. The flyer also said $50 off local moves and $100 for long distance moves and FREE BOXES. I spoke with Armando and asked if my mover of 74 miles was considered local or long. He said it was local so fine. $50 off. I asked if the free boxes were for any items. He said they were for wardrobe boxes. So again I said great. I hired them. What a nightmare it was. Two guys (Fernando & Richard) arrived who were actually good. Richard couldn't speak English or understand it but whatever. I had 1 bed, one rocker recliner, 1 chair with ottoman and the rest boxes that I had already packed. It took them over 5 hours to load the truck. They didn't think of loading the elevator fully like they should have. I lived in a high rise so yes the freight elevator was slow at times due to other's using it. It took 11 hours for them to complete the job. The job shouldn't have taken more then 6 or 7 hours like my previous moves which had more furniture. The worst part is with the owner Daniel. When they presented the final invoice they said I owed $1,749.50 total. They didn't discount the $50 and Daniel charged me for the 2 wardrobe boxes. I said Armando told me they were free. He said they are free if I use them to transport clothes but that if I kept them I would be charged $20 each. The only positive and good part of this so called moving company were the two guys who moved me with their attitude. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. read more

I needed an antique piano moved from the private home I purchased it from to my home, so I went to yelp and requested quotes from multiple companies. Elite was very quick to reply and provided a flat rate quote detailed with everything included since I was only having one heavy item moved. The price was fair (not the lowest or highest) and they were available at the time I needed the move. I appreciated the detailed reply, as many of the other companies gave me one sentence or a number to call with no price. I called them to confirm the information and was set to move the piano in just 2 days. Dalton and Freddie arrived right on time to the pick up address. They were polite and friendly and discussed their plan to move the piano before getting their equipment ready. Old pianos are extremely heavy and I was impressed with their strength and expertise moving the piano without damaging the piano itself or anything else they were maneuvering around. They arrived safely to my home and took the same care placing the piano where I wanted it. They took special care not to damage my wood floors as well. We hired Elite Moving after moving my wife's aunt and uncle down to San Diego from San Jose. After packing a 20 ft truck and 12 ft trailer for two days straight, and driving the whole way, we were worn out and needed help. Our bodies were just worn down and we know it would take multiple days to get everything out of the truck. We called Elite the night before and asked if they could send 3 movers the next day. Without hesitation they said sure! Next morning, right on time, Joey, Jamal, and Freddy came to our rescue. They quickly got to work and unloaded the truck at an unbelievable pace. We really felt it would take all day or maybe two to get it done by ourselves. They unloaded the truck, in under 3 hours! Including that they also moved our large and heavy items into place. I almost never write reviews, but this company and these people are the worst moving company I've had the displeasure of knowing. It was a NIGHTMARE using this moving company. Let me just give you an example of what it's like to have "Elite" movers move you... First of all, they will take their sweet time to move out your stuff. It took them 6+ hours to move about 10 pieces of furniture from an apartment to a house that was only 20 minutes away. They would take something out of the apartment, down to the trunk, and then we wouldn't see them for a half hour. Then they'd come back and take forever again with the next item. We already didn't trust these guys based on how they were milking the clock and not being very careful with my furniture when they moved it, but we didn't really have another choice at this point and had to stick it out for the unpacking part of the move. We didn't think it could get any worse, but it did. When they finally arrived at our new house, they started taking off the furniture blankets before moving the items in, which made it so dust and dirt from the garage walls got onto our couch. One of the guys went to go reassemble my bed and ripped both of the box spring fabrics while also managing to lose ALL of the screws to my bed frame. He made the decision to use part of the screws from a different piece of furniture I had to get himself out of this predicament. So now, not only do the screws not fit (they are way too small and most fell out within a week), but I am now putting up with shaky furniture because half the wood isn't even screwed in! I finally went into my bedroom to go check on the guy since he'd been in there a while and found him taking a phone call, not even acting professional like he was on a job. The guys failed to mention to us prior to starting the job that we would be charged 2x the hourly rate during driving time (which makes no sense, by the way) and also didn't tell us there was an extra "materials" charge. We ended up shelling out over $500 for the worst, longest moving job in history and are left with broken, dirty furniture after using the FARTHEST from "elite movers" I could ever imagine. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I feel like we were scammed and robbed of our $500 by using these guys. You couldn't pay ME to use this company ever again. read more

I have never written a Yelp review, but my service was so poor, I must warn other people. First off, I have a 600sf 1 bedroom apartment with no bedroom furniture and just one sofa. My total move should not have taken more than the 3 hour minimum. But because the two guys were SO SLOW and spent so much time laughing and "doing whatever" downstairs and in the truck, it took 5 HOURS!! It took 3 hours just for them to load the truck, which is completely absurd! The guys would often make trips with just one item in hand. Small items that could easily be combined with other things. Then, it would take 10 minutes for them to come back! I even tried to help because I was losing my mind with how long it was taking, but they told me I couldn't go in the truck. I was so upset and felt so cheated and taken advantage of. I honestly feel like if there was a male with me, they wouldn't have pulled this stunt. On top of all of that...... THEY LEFT BOXES in the closet!!! When I called them, first my calls kept being ignored. Then the guy tells me that they can't do it until 3 days later. Then they say they can come that day, but I will be charged the hourly rate because the workers said they did a walkthrough with me.. which was a complete LIE! The worker came to me, said they had everything, and we left. (Not before, I walk on the elevator to find one of my lamps still sitting there because they forgot it. smh) I am completely dissatisfied with their service and I hope no one makes the same mistake. Joseph and Alex did a great job with my 1 bedroom move. They were nice, polite, and enthusiastic even though it was so hot that day. They didn't give me any attitude even though I had mistakenly assumed they brought their own drinking water/beverage with them in their truck, like the other movers I hired in the past, who refused to drink ice cold water from a pitcher. Anyway, I quickly resolved the issue and bought bottled beverages. They must have thought I was an insensitive, heartless bitch. Sorry guys for the wrong assumption. To be honest, I didn't really have a lot of stuff and thought that the 2 hour minimum would be sufficient to get it done. After all, everything was packed and ready to go, with just the essential furnitures to fit a 500 square feet apartment. It took 3 hours. My rate for 2 guys and a truck was $59/hour if paying cash. I believe it costs more if you pay with credit card. It was fairly easy to schedule with them. They didn't damage any of my stuff either. $30 fuel charge, plus tip. Don't forget to tip them! Movers are really hard workers. I was extra thankful that day for the fact that I am not doing their job every single day. I was very exhausted that day, and I wasn't even the one doing the heavy lifting! My advise is to just supervise your move to ensure that everything is moving along and that no time is wasted. Make sure your things are packed to avoid any delay, which equates to more moving time, and more costs. I would hire them again in the future. They even smile at the end of the transaction! They not only moved my heavy console piano up two flights or stairs with 90 degree landings at both top and, they moved antique furniture with care, even removing the mirror from the dresser. I wanted to hire movers not help and I got help. The 2 guys they sent worked very hard and were over worked due to their bosses lack of concern for the customer.
