Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and I'm so happy I did! It was my first time here. There are tables and chairs outside. Then you step inside into a beautifully decorated cafe! Lots of windows to let the sunshine in. There are stools along the counters along the windows. We sat at a settee that and there is some more seating as well. I enjoyed a black tea iced tea and my friend had a specialty iced coffee drink. You order and pay at the counter an then when your drinks are ready they are placed on a beautiful silver tray and your name is called. I already have plans to go back soon!

Ellie & Bird Coffee Bar, a cute little cozy coffee corner in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia. I've been looking forward to trying this place since it always looked cute on the outside, but wasn't ready or open yet. Finally, it was, the other day, when I was in the area. PARKING Parking is street parking only and it can be hard to find a parking spot around here! MENU They have a lot of cool things on the menu that I'd love to try out over time. Like horchata with an option to add an espresso shot. Or the PB&B. Ultimately, I'm a sucker for lavender lattes so I decided to opt for that instead! I had their Honey Lavender Latte, a seasonal drink, but I got it iced. My sister got a regular cold brew. The sweeteners are off to the side. I won't lie I was nervous about honey in my lavender latte. I had it once before somewhere else and it was awful, but I didn't have that same experience here!! The latte was delicious! Also to note, it's quite affordable! I paid for my coffee & my sister's. I signed up for rewards because I plan on coming back, and the machine offered me a 15% off coupon for my first time there so I paid $9.34. Without 15% off it would've been $10.70 for two orders. $5.35 for one 16oz drink. That's a steal. Whenever I order from Starbucks or Wawa I pay more than that for a 16 oz! My order and my boyfriend's order often comes out to $15ish at Starbucks. Shop local when you can! Support your local small businesses. ATMOSPHERE I definitely can see myself coming back to have a drawing session. I love finding cafes I can draw in. For some reason, I get more done that way. This place is super cozy though! My eyes gravitated to all the decor. I just loved it. And WC (wash closet), I don't see that often anymore so color me impressed! OVERALL They're only open from 7:30 to 3pm Monday through Friday and 8am to 2pm on the weekends. Which is kind of a bummer because sometimes I don't roll out of my bed till late or am running errands for too long to feel like the trip is worth it. But I completely understand. The only other thing I am iffy about is parking. The cute cup sleeve in my photo is from RosyRyleighShop on Etsy! I definitely will try to be back soon.

This cute little coffee shop opened a few blocks away from my house. It has large windows that are open on nice days. Bar stool seating is available inside and outside along the windows with several tables i side. The decor is cool. The bathroom is worth a look with the green tile creating a vibe! It has plants and a swan faucet. They have a variety of coffee drinks, chai lattes, matcha lattes as well as regular coffee. I'm a tea drinker. There are a variety of teas but weren't any English breakfast or other black teas except Earl Gray which has a more perfume taste. The owner mentioned that they are adding an English breakfast yay! The pastries were very good. They're sourced from a French wholesale bakery. The vegan options are from Crust. Prices are comparable to other coffee shops. Forks weren't available. My friend asked for butter and/or jelly for her croissant but that wasn't available either. About once a month they have a Happy Hour with several cocktails available. Prices are comparable to regular priced cocktails at restaurants not happy hour pricing. The cocktails were well crafted! I had the Cherry Gin Fizz. It was made with gin and had a nice cherry flavor with a pink foam on top and a cherry garnish that gave it that flourish. The Banana Negroni was interesting with the banana flavor. The Colibri spritz was refreshing and had edible flowers.

A cozy little gem with big personality! Ellie & Bird Café is one of those places that instantly makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, it strikes that perfect balance between modern charm and neighborhood comfort. The coffee? Excellent. Smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I ordered a cold brew and a lavender latte (because why not?), and both were top-notch. The cold brew was strong but not bitter, and the lavender latte had just the right hint of floral sweetness. Their food menu is a pleasant surprise too, I tried the breakfast sandwich, and it was beautifully plated and full of flavor. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they care about quality ingredients. What really sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the vibe in the café just makes you want to stay a little longer than planned. Whether you're grabbing coffee to-go or setting up shop for a few hours with your laptop, Ellie & Bird makes it feel like time well spent.

We ordered a lavender iced latte and flat white, with a plain croissant and snickerdoodle. Excellent drinks with fresh quality food. Really cute and comfortable corner coffee shop with both inside and outside seating. We sat inside. Nice materials and space (the dark green glazed tiles with indirect uplighting in the bathroom is a nice touch). Comfy cafe tables and seating. Happy staff. Constant cycling of customers on an early Saturday summer morning. Great addition to the neighborhood.

I ordered a green iced tea which was delicious, and then sat and worked. Wi-fi is solid here, and the outlets are plentiful. I especially like having seats with backs and sizable tables at the right height... when you're working from cafes the small details make a difference. Even though the espresso machine was down, the staff were still friendly and pretty calm about the whole ordeal (although some customers were not). Appreciate a friend face, a quiet space to work, and a nice vibe to relax in for the day. Will stop by again when I'm in Old City!

The sandwiches were tasty, although the bread was a bit too crispy. I usually love crispy bread, but this was very, very crispy and slightly overdone for my preference. The biggest disappointment was the egg -- it had that pre-made/frozen egg texture and appearance, which I didn't expect from this type of establishment. Overall, I'd still return for the coffee and the cute atmosphere.

About two blocks away we opened the door to such a great aroma and we were greeted warmly by one of the very nice ladies...seemed like the manager. Idk I've never been like this before. But I enjoyed this one. I put in my own honey at the self serve station. This station is where a line naturally forms, so I'd be aware of this as I see this could be stressful for the baristas went taking/handing out orders. The matcha was smooth, a little overpowered by whatever syrup you add to it. They told me they batch make the matcha with vanilla syrup that cannot be taken out. So any add ons is too much in my opinion. The color was a good deep shade of green though. I prefer having this problem with my matcha over only being able to taste milk. A problem I've had with so many other coffee shops. Syrups are made in house!

There are a few window bar seats and one outdoor table, but it's otherwise more of a to-go type place. Clean restroom. Street parking. Mild noise level. Can get cramped when busy. As their name suggests, they offer a wide selection of macarons, all of which look delicious. They also have various sweet and savory pastries, coffees, teas, and lemonades. I've only had their hot tea, so I can't speak on the other drinks; I do appreciate the variety and uniqueness of the tea flavors offered as those aren't usually highlighted much. The pastries are flaky, delicious, and filling - definitely recommend the feta spinach croissant. Prices are fair. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!
