Very good food and drinks, nice and enthusiastic employees, decent restroom, overall a very good place to eat!

Fairly inexpensive, huge portions, American food, stays busy for a reason on the weekends. Hire another server or two. Lol

We were seated at a table that had food left on chairs and on the floor. As the waitress came to take my order I saw an earwig (bug) crawling across the table. I went ahead and killed it, didn't make a big deal, and ordered some food. We probably should have left then and there. The food was okay, not great. The coffee was decent. But I left feeling gross from the environment. The whole place just felt unclean. read more

I drove from canby to get crepes and French toast. Drove up there to get mediocre service and then get my crepes and there is no sauce on them just crepe and berry. When I went to ask why lady seemed upset to be bothered and gave me some cold sauce along with my already cold crepes. read more

It's not great. The pancakes are good if you're in the mood for dessert as a meal. But they always manage to get something wrong. The service isn't managed well, and I get the impression that doing better isn't a concern to anyone. I'll try them again in six months to see if they've improved - after all, they were good once. We prefer the pub area around back for a quieter experience. The breakfast foods are all delicious, and the service is reliably good.

It has been years since I've been to Elmers and remember the food there as being fresh and of good quality. Last night my sister took me to Elmers for my birthday and it appears that they have given up on making fresh quality food. I ordered the Seafood Feast and Chips and somehow managed to receive only 2 strips of what I can guess would be called "battered fish" (it almost had no flavor at all) and a small amount of soggy fries. The Seafood Feast and Chips is supposed to come with COD, Shrimp, Salmon and fries. I didn't see the waiter around for a few minutes, so I walked my meal back to the kitchen, calmly explained the situation and went back to my seat. Two minutes later the waiter came back with the same basket (fries and "fish" were getting cold) with 3 pieces of shrimp and one more strip of "battered fish" on it. I asked if this additional strip of fish was Salmon, he said yes. Lets just say that no Salmon were harmed in the making of this meal. Every item in this meal was clearly frozen and cooked in a deep fryer, there was nothing fresh at all. My mother's Avocado Cheese burger had an almost hard as leather burger patty (obviously not fresh and was also frozen) and the coffee tasted old and burned. When we checked out at the register and explained how disappointed we were with the food, the elderly cashier knocked a little off the total and told my sister that sometimes they have a bad day there and that we should try them again some other time. If this experience is indicative of the quality of food Elmers serves, then my family are never going back. read more

My wife and I came here for breakfast. The service was good. I was not very impressed with the Crepes. The cost for the portion size was really high. The inside of the restaurant was dingy, and the seating was uncomfortable and very crowded. read more

For the second time in the past year. I have gone to Elmer's with my Mother and we've been disappointed. We have been visiting Elmer's fr more than 55 years, and my Mother always orders the German Pancake. On our last two visits. yesterday and Mother's Day, her German Pancake came out flat, slightly yellow, and rubbery. It, of course, looked nothing like the picture, and nothing like I've come to expect these past 55+ years. The cook and waitress both saw it, knew that it was wrong and served it anyway. When asked what the problem was, the waitress said something about the weather and cold eggs, and offered to remake it or get something else. The problem with that was the time factor and that the other three of us were already eating our breakfast. My 82-year-old Mother only visits Elmer's for the German Pancakes, and because the last two have been disasters, she will no longer visit this once fine establishment. read more

I love eating at Elmers, and I have eaten there since I was a kid. But this particular Elmers really unimpressed me. The service here was less then friendly. Also, I asked for something that was a seasonal dish, that all other Elmers have had no problem making, but the waitress just kept telling me it's not corporate to make it. Elmer's in general is okay- about the only place around you can find German pancakes and they're typically good. But we will not be returning to this location. I decided to order their Cherry Apple Strusel Crepe special, without whipped cream. It came out with a giant swirl of whipped cream, and the fruit inside was still frozen and uncooked, which quickly rendered the crepe itself cold. I was able to take two bites (after scraping off the whipped cream) before I hit a frozen apple. I might also add 2 of three sausage links were undercooked. Unfortunately, I was unable to tell our waitress about the problems as we didn't see her again until we asked for the check. Further, though she expressed sympathy with my plight and confirmed the fruit should have been hot, she did not call a manager for us and brought us a check still charging us the full price of the meal. I do not like when a restaurant makes a mistake and refuses to compensate for it. read more

Ordered their organic salad with chicken breast. The salad came quick but the plate was still a little warm from just being washed and the lettuce greens were at room temp. The vinaigrette dressing had too much oil. Could only eat about half of the salad. No one asked about my meal. Waitress did keep my ice tea full without asking. Elmer's is a favorite place for breakfast. Everything we order is delicious. Absolutely great bacon! A favorite is the German pancake. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. read more

I met my friend for brunch there today at 10:00 am. The food was great as well as our service. However, we witnessed the manager, a woman, yell at a bus boy in the middle of the room for leaving a dish of creamer a the table. It was unprofessional, inappropriate and we felt terrible for the young man. If I thought there would be a manager above her on site, I would have complained when I was there. Unfortunately, If I'd said something to her, it would have fallen on deaf ears. Mean people suck. read more

For health reasons, I don't have cheeseburgers very often but every so often, I indulge. I had envisioned a plump, juicy burger with lettuce, tomatoes and purple onion. The cheeseburger I had was one of the worst I can remember. The meat patty was very thin and overcooked to the point that it was black. It was dry and tasteless. There was no lettuce. And the coffee wasn't hot. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, the order took an inordinate amount of time. The hostess and waitress were gracious and attentive. The place is dated and needs to get with the times. I would never go there again. read more

Kamay was our waitress on two successive days, and she was excellent. On both days, my wife had the German pancake, which, with lemon and powdered sugar put on it, was excellent. I tasted it both days and also liked it very much. My wife actually ordered the Combo version of the German pancake dish, which added a meat and eggs on the side. A lot of food for $11.29. Our experience was excellent. Food quality was great and service was prompt and thorough.

Went for lunch end of last week. Had german pancakes which were great, mothers salad looked great. Ate in lounge and server was very loud (deaf?). Was there with my elderly parents and was embarrassed by the servers language with others-lots of f-bombs. My wife goes in with her son and said she wont eat in lounge because of server. There is a couple great elderly servers in restaurant that will cater to you. I'd go back but only in main restaurant not the lounge. read more

You have to go just to enjoy the potato, cheese and green onion pancake. All topped with sour cream.

Enjoyed a German pancake at Elmers today. It was very good, wish I'd have taken a picture. Service was wonderful too.
