I have rented cars from Enterprise in the past (including this location) and have always had a pleasant experience. Most recently I rented a car from here to drive to Elko to attend a wedding. I made the reservation months in advance online (it seems to be very hard to get a rental if you are less than a week out from the date you need the vehicle). I requested to pick up the car on Friday at 8am and return the car on Monday. Online system would not let me return the car Sunday as the location is closed. I arrived at the office at 8am and was promptly checked in. I was told the car would be ready shortly. The staff was nice, and I appreciate a clean vehicle (I also appreciate the extra sanitation due to COVID-19 including the extra Clorox wipes they leave for you in the car). However, it was over an hour before the car was ready. Not a huge deal as I was not on a set schedule, but disappointing to sit around for an hour. I don't claim to know how to run a car rental agency, but it seems to me that if you have a reservation on the books for the next day at 8am (when they open) then someone should assure the car is ready the night before. I know things happen that can mess up plans, but this was my only complaint. They thanked me for my patience, we inspected the car, I signed the paperwork, and I was off. No issues with the car at all. As an added bonus, I was able to return the car Sunday night by using the key drop box which was very convenient as I had to be to work on Monday at 7am (before Enterprise opens) which would have made returning the vehicle on Monday tough. Staff called the next day to close out the paperwork. Definitely would rent from here again! read more

Enterprise Car Rental just lost a loyal customer. Thier advertising about how much the customer means to them is all a lie. We have been using Enterprise for over a decade, always refer people to them. Excellent!! I had to get a car due to my vehicle being in the shop. Based on my policy I was eligible for vehicle matching. They did not have a vehicle in my size and based on policy upgraded my vehicle instead of decreasing the size like I've had done elsewhere. They were kind and courteous. When I returned the vehicle the closing inspection was quick and they were prompt to drop me off at my vehicle. This is my favorite location by far! read more

I needed a car on short notice, just a few hours, and got a nice Nissan Rogue without any hassles or hiccups which I greatly appreciated after the few days I'd had. Return was also super quick and easy as well. While Enterprise is a national chain, this location is family owned and operated, so next time I need a rental in a jiffy, long term, etc., I will be coming back here! If I could give it no stars I would. Every time I have come here I have had issues and had to find a ride to go to a different car rental place. This time I get there after reserving online and I was told that they couldn't verify my address from my license if I use a debit card and need 2 utility bills in order to rent a car. I told him I did not have any as there are no bills in my name and showed him a different bill to which I was told it was "too old and they couldn't take it" even though I received the bill within 30 days. Then he told me I could just use a credit card and if not they couldn't help me. This is the last time I will be going here. There's too many hoops to jump through. If you can find somewhere else to rent a car go there instead. read more

Our family minivan was hit (other person's fault) and we needed a rental vehicle while repairs were being completed. The other person's insurance company first made a reservation with Hertz, however, the adjuster didn't know this and made us a second reservation at this Enterprise location in Sparks. Alex from Enterprise called me to get the reservation going before I had even hung up with the adjuster who scheduled it. I called Alex back and explained that the insurance company already reserved a van for us at Hertz and we were on our way to go pick it up. I won't get into all of the negative details about Hertz giving us a van with a flat tire and then telling us to deal with it on our own. The important point for this review is how incredibly responsive and accommodating Alex and the branch manager, Zach, are at this Sparks Enterprise location. I was so happy when I called Alex again to learn that our reservation was still active. It's not easy to find a vehicle for a large family on a Friday afternoon, however, Alex went right to work and called me back within minutes to let me know he was having a Ford Expedition brought to their location so we would have a reliable vehicle that would fit our family of 8. Alex and Zach waited more than 30 minutes after closing to make sure we got the vehicle. What impressed me more than anything is when I initially told Alex that we were already on our way to pick up a vehicle from Hertz, he said, "That's great! As long as you are taken care of, that's all that matters!" Alex genuinely prioritizes making sure a customer gets their needs met without any of it feeling like a sales pitch! I hope Enterprise recognizes the gem they have with Alex. I'm not sure how positions or promotions work in the car rental business, but this guy deserves to head towards the top! Definitely have to say I always use Enterprise in Sparks when needing a car to get back home to SF! In the middle of May, without knowing there was chain control getting over the pass, the temperatures were fluctuating but who would've thought. If it wasn't for the great agent Rick, giving me that heads up about these conditions and getting me into something that would make it over the pass, I would not have been able to make it to my cousin's bridal shower bachelorette festivities! We were given a rental through the insurance co. due to our truck being in the shop. The truck we were given was fine on the outside, the inside however was stained and dirty. We were given the vehicle with 1/4 tank of fuel, no windshield wiper fluid (in the winter), and a notice that the oil change was due. Had we gotten this vehicle for a trip, I would have been extremely disgruntled. I was told there was nothing they could do about the stained upholstery (clean it maybe?). It made me really not want to sit in the vehicle at all. They were nice enough, but service and maintenance of there vehicles is definitely lacking. read more

I was in desperate need for a rental while my vehicle was being worked on. When I phoned this location Carmen answered the phone. I had entered my reservation on-line but needed a pick up. This is where Carmen was awesome. She told me she would pick me up in 10 minutes! She got to my workplace in about 8 mins. (I am NOT a time Nazi, btw) We got back to the store to do paperwork and everything was handled professionally and swiftly - I was back to work in about 20 minutes r/t time. The next day, the rental would not crank (battery). They sent AAA to do a jump start. AAA was there in 15 minutes. I had to rent a car from this place. When I returned the car they found a small dent so they will process the paperwork basically making me responsible. On top of this they quoted me $25 per day. I had the car four days. On checkout the guy tells me the total is $250! Seriously?!! I questioned him on this and after "readjusting" some entries, he tells me the total is $110. Oy...one unhappy customer. I'll update once I figure out how much this dent will cost me. read more

Not again will I rent a car through Enterprise! I'm going to try and keep this short. They gave me a dirty car that had just been dropped off, I know this from the liquid of whatever it was in a Gatorade bottle that came out from under the seat, at this point I should have taken it back but I needed a car badly while mine was in the transmission shop, also, a bottle of water under the same seat (it actually had water in it), less then half tank of gas when picked up, returned with the same amount of gas and was charged for two more gallons, yep to make that a half tank. Called to drop the car off at the location I picked it up and ask for a ride to my vehicle as it was in the shop, was told that they only go as far as 5 miles (7.4 miles to the shop I needed a ride to) and that I should drop it off at another location if I wanted a ride. When I got to the other location I asked how far they will go to drop someone off, I was told "10 to 15 miles". Lastly their customer service is nonexistent, I tried at the drop off location to let them know the issues, I called an 800 number and also got the runaround. They say they are a family run business for 50 years and they care about their customers, let me tell you, THEY DO NOT!. read more

Was in town for a short meeting (3 days) and did an online reservation. They came and picked us up at the Sparks Marina RV park. Only drawback is that this location is not open on Sunday, so we had to pay an extra day because we left early Monday before they were open. But they only charged me for the gas needed (about 1/8 tank) rather than the full tank most places charge, so it ended up being a wash. Will rent from this location again if needed. read more

I have dropped off at this location once and rented from him one and NEVER again. When we dropped off after being gone for one week he made me go detail the inside of the car or he was going to charge me $300 for some dirt on the carpet. The second time we rented a car and would have the car for 3 days we got an hour away and I opened the middle console to find marijuana. I sent a message to corporate and within an hour the manager at the Prater location called me and was very rude and asking why I didn't bring the car back immediately. Well first I was now 7 hours away and when we found it we were an hour away and I was not turning around it was just as easy for me to clean it out, so he told me to take it to the nearest enterprise and exchange the car...umm I already told them we cleaned it out. He never apologized was just very rude. I will tell everyone to Go to Mill where they treat people with respect and not like a number. read more
