After extensive research, we opted to go with EOS for our move. Starting with the pros: 1) We made sure to box up EVERYTHING except for furniture, and move it all to the garage for easy transportation. They were very quick to load it all up into the truck before moving on to the furniture we had in the house. 2) They disassembled and wrapped up our furniture very quickly and efficiently. We tried to disassemble as much as we could, but some pieces (like the sofa) were difficult for us. But they handled it all with ease and put everything back together just as quickly at the new home. 3) Despite 2 flights of long stairs at our old place, they handled the narrow hallway and constant up and down without any issues our complaints. Their ability to navigate large furniture pieces down the stairs without damaging the walls was truly impressive. 4) No extra charge for driving time. And they were very quick in getting from point A to point B. In fact, they were already unloading into the new home by the time I arrived. 5) Their rates are VERY competitive. However, they do charge a % fee if you pay with anything other than cash. 6) They estimated an 8am arrival time and arrived exactly on time. They were also very communicative leading up to the move date and did not charge extra based on the day of the week. 7) No extra charge for shrink wrap, or use of blankets or boxes. 8) They were pretty good for the most part about placing boxes in the correct rooms as we had all the boxes pre-labeled and post-its labeling which room was which. Cons: 1) We had some extra moving boxes laying around that they wound up using to package some of the lamps and other "smaller" home decor/lighting items. In addition to smaller furniture items (chairs, etc..). While we were okay with them using these as they were excess boxes that we wound up not needing, it would have been nice if they had simply asked first before grabbing them. 2) They only laid down floor covering for the first flight of stairs. And nowhere else in the home. This meant that their hand dollies carrying heavy payloads were rolling through our carpeting, hardwood, and stairs without any floor protection for most of the home. 3) Furniture items were only wrapped in shrink wrap to protect. Instead of thick blankets and then shrink wrap over the top. Thankfully however, no pieces appear to have sustained any damage during transit. Overall, we were pleased with our move with EOS and the value we received. read more

We're so happy we chose EOS for our move this week. We hired three movers and a truck for our relocation across San Francisco, and we were so impressed by how professional and efficient the crew was. They arrived on time, got right to work, and not only moved our belongings but also offered to lay out rugs and position furniture to help us settle into our new home. Their pricing was competitive, which gave me some pause at first, but now that everything is done, I can honestly say this felt like a top-tier job at a discount. We also had extensive HOA guidelines, which we provided in advance, and they followed them to the letter. They had to move an upright piano as well which cost $100 extra. They recommended 3 movers to me because of the piano. 3 movers was $149/hr for a minimum of 3 hours, $69 truck fee plus the piano fee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They said we will arrive between 1-3. They texted about 30 mins in advance to let me know they'd arrive at 2:45pm which they did on the dot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Three very nice men arrived. Two did not speak English, I think they speak either Cantonese or mandarin. Anyways the one guy that did speak English helped with all the communication stuff and it went smoothly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] These guys work like a well oiled machine. They had everything in my place wrapped up in less than an hour. They disassembled my bed frame and they wrapped my mattress carefully and were very cautious with a vintage wood floor lamp. Also, when they went to take my vacuum they noticed that I had done a sloppy job of wrapping the vacuum cord, so he re-wrapped it neatly. I thought that was a nice extra thing that I didn't expect them to do. They were also polite to my dog. They loaded everything into my garage with insanely good precision, like Tetris. They were polite and efficient. They moved about a hundred boxes and tons of furniture in two hours. We paid them for 3 hours (the minimum) and tipped. Would definitely use again. They were no nonsense, enthusiastic and straight to business. read more

Between NY and SF this was my 5th, and biggest, move during my adult life. EOS Moving was the best moving company I've worked with. We had a large 2 bedroom apartment (1600 sq feet) in SF moving to a house in the east bay, and because of our toddler, were not as prepared as we could have been. I booked these guys for two different moves on consecutive weekends. Nothing but excellence. Not a single complaint. The first move I was moving my mom into assisted living. In addition to moving her important stuff into her new place, they offered (for an additional price, of course) to haul all of her junk that wasn't moving to the dump. This really saved me. I had underestimated how large of a job that would be, and it just made my life so much easier. Even when packing up the junk, they noticed and saved an old photo album that was in a closet (I had mistakenly told them everything in the closet could go). The next weekend was my girlfriend and I moving in together. They made stops at each of our apartments to load the truck and then unloaded everything into our new place. EOS was great! They were fast, super efficient, and, most importantly, think things through before moving the oversized items, such as my treadmill. The two movers we worked with were fantastic and worked very fast. I was moving locally from a second story walkup apartment - two bedroom plus a garage and storage unit. Parking in the area (near downtown San Mateo) is tricky but we figured it out no problem, they were patient and talked to me (a small female) without arguing/correcting/talking over me. I was just worried about them because they went so hard for so long without a break on a hot, sunny day. Everything expertly wrapped, grouped things and helped pack things we hadn't finished with. Pricing was the best of the quotes I got since I was paying cash and they were transparent (I booked with John) and fair about pricing - please tip them! They deserve it! My one tip to others is to keep requesting wardrobe boxes early on to make sure you get as many as you need, we messed up there and they were inaccessible for the last set of hanging clothes we had.
