We wanted someone local and small business because we love supporting small businesses. When we were referred to Epic Off road we paid them a visit. We had a cat shield installed then added a bed cover, power steps, plus an alignment. I am so happy we have found a trustworthy company that can handle all our off road needs. Your reply to my review is so far from the truth it's crazy. The reason you stayed late is because you took almost 3 days to do what you told me you have done in 1 day. I returned the light bar that you installed and left installed even though you knew it was defective. You never gave me back a new one. I am not a mechanic nor do I have the tools or know how to remove all the improperly installed items you left on my truck even when you knew they were wrong. You told me the rigid light was bad and yet you left it on the truck so I had no choice but to drive it as I couldn't leave my truck on your facility while you sorted out the issues. You told me to drive the truck and you would order the correct bumper one in. After a week you said you didn't have the money to order it you could barely pay your rent. I had to wait another week no bumper on order and another week - still no bumper. At that point I went and had someone else install the right bumper and brought it all back to you for a refund and you told me to get the fuc&?! off your property. So I promptly left and filed a poor review with yelp and the BBB. At this point o have your wrongly ordered bumper and wrongly ordered and improperly installed lights in the same box the sam pack 5 Star ford packaged them in that I tried to return. I never ordered a road armor bumper nor did I order defective lights that your team installed wrongly and voided the warranty from rigid. That is why I took it back and you said you'd swap it out - so far. No light bar and lots of false implications of me stealing. Just had discount tire rotate the tires. The tires sold to me by epic are a size too small for the wheels they installed. Really they ordered the wrong wheels then put the right tires on the wrong rim to hide the problem. read more

UNSAFE, UNTRUSTWORTHY, UNPROFESSIONAL. Epic 4x4 did not bolt down a tie rod when they installed my leveling kit. This resulted in $1,500 of damage to the front end of my vehicle and almost killed me when it came apart. Ford technicians provided a signed statement confirming this part was not bolted which directly resulted in the damages to my vehicle. I told Sam about it and he refused to do anything about it and he seems to be under the impression he is not responsible for damages that he causes to customer vehicles with improper installation. Ford confirmed that this part would have taken time to come loose and would not have happened immediately as the failure occurred 4 months after installation. My Truck has 18,000 miles on it, so it seems like quite the unlikely coincidence that after the leveling kit was installed on my new truck, the tie rod and knuckle fail. If you care about your money, your safety and your family DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Take to a reputable shop. Owner does not stand by his work and refused to reimburse me for the damages to my vehicle caused directly by Epic 4x4. I only wanted the repairs to be reimbursed and nothing else. I asked for a copy of his insurance which he refused to provide, so he likely DOES NOT CARRY INSURANCE, which is a huge red flag. The owner will respond to this review, deny any wrongdoing and say it was impossible for it to be his fault. A licensed Ford technician signed a statement advising this was specific part installed improperly, which is very rare which should show you how certain they were of what caused the damage. read more

Horrible experience. Stay away. They told me it would take 1-2 days total but then we added add'l things that needed parts; new estimate was 2-3 days which was absolutely fine. It took almost a month to get my Jeep back and was one excuse after another. Not all the additional items were completed either. Other nearby businesses helped me track them down and shared info with me to suggest similar issues going on with others. They also gave me other contact info to try which helped. Another 4x4 shop even offered to come rescue (tow) my car to their shop to fix me up. read more

Sam and his crew did a fantastic job on my Wrangler. When you're doing as much work as I was doing all at once, it's easy to be a little worried about the overall job, but these guys paid attention to every detail and kept in constant communication with me. I had to leave it with them for a day or two longer than anticipated because Sam wanted to make absolutely sure they got the gearing done the right way and he kept me updated the whole way through. Knowing he would rather have it done right instead of fast is huge for the integrity of the business. I couldn't be happier with the work done and Sam is extremely knowledgeable and understood what I was going for and was able to make suggestions to put together a package for me that was exactly what I was imagining. I've visited many off road shops, and until Epic, I have never found a staff that cares this much about doing the job right, and treating their customers like they're family. Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, but Sam goes far out of his way to deliver over the top customer service. I was on a trip from California to Texas, and had recently had a lift installed. I noticed the rear axle u bolt nuts and washers had come off on the left side, and called Epic to ask if they could help. They said come right over, we'll fix you up. As soon as I arrived, they brought the truck in the garage, and started to work on it. In addition to providing new hardware, they also diagnosed a bad ground for my airbag compressor and sorted that out as well. This experience was what everyone HOPES will be the outcome when something breaks on their car. I cannot stress how friendly, welcoming, and helpful this visit was. If I have any needs going forward, this is the only shop I'm calling. Truly great guys with incredible knowledge of everything off road related, an absolute five star experience. I hate writing this review. I like Sam but the guys he has working for him simply don't care . The tech does not know how to weld . How do i know ? I'm a certified welder . He even said he's trying to learn lol . So here's the rundown , my 100,000 dollar Jeep was having coilovers put in and epic said they could install them no problem. He said it would take two days . It took 8 and they weren't even done when i arrived . I gave up and told them to hook the coilovers up enough so it could roll . I then took it to 4 wheel parts and they are fixing it properly . Can you believe i still has to pay ? Lol ! There's only two guys working and they don't know what they are doing . The welds are so bad that 4 wheel parts has to grind all of them back out and reweld . I own and operate a business and know full well what bad reviews do . But I'm doing it cause someone could a actually get hurt or worse possibly. read more

These guys are under new ownership now. They were very courteous and accommodating in ordering and installing my tonneau cover. Chris was very helpful in the ordering process and Setup up a convenient time for me to have it installed. Installation was done great and paperwork,etc was handled professionally. If I could rate this place a zero then I would. Not only did they make us wait for hours but they messed up the truck 100% worse than what we brought it in for. HUGE headache to deal with and I would NEVER recommend someone going here for their own safety. read more

I took my 2017 Tacoma in to have a suspension job done and the guys simple adjusted the shocks I already had. They saved me a lot of money so I bought a new bumper, fog lights, and a winch from them! I will also be back for more mods soon. If you need anything for your 4x4 toys, I'd give Sam or Lucky a call! read more

Could be an amazing place sales people are awesome but had a lift kit done and truck almost fell apart said it was normal till they finally looked at it oops. Had a bed cover put on it falls apart twice. So they talk me into 750$ recon lights and an air box for my truck lights will be super bright well u can't see the road with them so had to change all that out and the air box cause trouble codes called for help see if there is a fix well your on your own for that too. My husband took some upper and lower control arms for his 1955 Chevy over to Sam at Epic 4x4 Offroad to have the ball joints and bushing pressed in. Sam said it should take about an hour and a half and would have it done the next day. No call for a week. My husband tried calling 3 times and no one answered the phone all week. He finally stopped by on Saturday and confronted them about it. They showed him the parts and showed how he bent the lower control arm a little. My husband was upset and took the parts and left. When he got home he noticed that Sam was hiding that the upper control arm was completely folded in half. He ruined these custom control arms and now won't take our phone calls or pay us back. Off to small claims court we go just like another yelper a couple weeks ago. Stay away from this shop!!!!! read more

Do not take your vehicle to this shop! I had a suspension kit installed by the crews at Epic 4x4. I had purchased all of the parts myself (shocks/springs, UCA's, and add a leaf). I had the shop install the kit and also had it aligned by the shop. I do not live near the shop and noticed that the truck was pulling bad towards to the passenger side. I had another shop align the truck and they told me whoever did it originally did a terrible job. He did say though that the truck had a pull. I called up Epic and all they told me was I voided my install since another shop aligned the truck. Not sure how they could void labor as I had brought in all of the components. Fast forward to today and I had another shop near me take a look at the truck. After discussion with the shop manager, he said whoever installed the UCA's did not do it properly. He said they were installed and over torqued in the air, where you want to do this on the ground for the suspension to droop properly. The issue with my truck on it pulling was because of the incorrectly installed UCA's. Save your money and go to another shop if you are wanting to have a lift kit installed, especially if you drive a Tacoma. I wish I would have found another one when I first had it installed as I would not be having these issues. I would NEVER recommend anyone to go to this shop read more

I paid for a BDS 4" lift for my Ram on 3/10/17 along with 4 new tires and rims, up front - $4,900+. The quickest slot they could get me in to do the work was on 3/21/17 - I agreed, even though it was close to two weeks later. Wasn't in a huge rush. Brandon and I set up a time for me to drop off my truck on the morning of 3/21, so I confirmed a day or two prior that the time was still good, which he confirmed. Dropped the truck off on the morning of 3/21 just after the shop opened, waited around for a bit then handed off my key to Brandon, confirmed who I was for the scheduled work and departed. I emailed the shop the morning of 3/22 to see what time I should pick up the truck (was estimated for 6pm on 3/22/17). Brandon said he would get back to me in a few and was just getting into the shop. Emailed again a few hours later to see where we were at with the pickup, nothing. Called the shop, no answer. Called the shop again, no answer, so I left a message. Texted Brandon's number, no response - then he finally texted me back saying "Ran into a little snag with the kit, they have not delivered it yet because there was a hold up on some of the parts. They will only ship everythimg (sic) together because it comes on a pallet. They said we should received the kit Monday morning sometime. So next Tuesday would be a good day to reschedule this. For the inconvenience I am also taking off an extra $164 off your remaining balance for the trouble." I went directly to the shop, got a refund (so I thought) and departed with my truck. **Update as of 4/10/17 - I still have not received my $4,000 refund. They did refund me $936 of the $4,936 about a week after 3/22, but are still floating the $4,000 (shady as hell - 19 days). I've called, texted and emailed the shop many times and was told they need to email their accountant to find out what's going on, when the shop actually answers. I'm not sure what kind of operation they're running over there. Stay as far away from this shop as you possibly can. read more

If you don't value your safety on the road and don't care about quality, then this shop is for you! Bottom line, these guys are nice, but don't be fooled. They do horrible work, are liars, and do not quality check any of their work. Don't be a fool. Do business somewhere else. It might just save your life. I paid this shop $6800 for parts on August 6th 2016 for Carli Suspension and tires for my 2016 Ram 2500. Said 4-5 days for parts to arrive. Scheduled me for 8/16 install. No call from them to confirm. I had to call them on 8/15. Said parts have not arrived yet. A simple call to Carli, and the parts were not ordered until 8/16. So they took my payment, and waited 10 days before placing the order to Carli. Again, I had to call them to check if parts were in on 8/19. Scheduled install for 8/23. Truck not ready after two days as quoted, and said would be ready in the morning. Was not ready until end of following day on 8/26. Four new tires, and one had a sticky plug in it from a puncture repair. Had to take truck back. Gary said he would replace and order new tire blaming it on distributor. 8/30 back to Epic for tire replacement. 9/9 noticed wheels were counterbalanced and having issues. Back to Epic. They did not match mount tires. Gary said it wasn't necessary. Toyo and Carli said it was a must. Gary agreed to remount and balance. 9/16 took truck to another shop to look over install. Said wheel balance was bad quality work. Flange nut on trac bar was rounded out. Alignment was bad. Shocks were loose (after going back to Epic for re-torque visit). Paid for new alignment and balancing at new shop. Instantly fixed my vibration issues. Decided to look over truck myself part by part. Rear end links were not set to Carli install specs. Front coil springs, that are clearly labeled as side specific, were installed on wrong side of truck. 9/17 Back to Epic to have coil springs moved to correct side. At this point I talked with Gary again about quality checks. He said they had done 40-50 Carli kits and are all about quality. A quick call to Carli, and found out that my kit was the only one they had ordered in more than a year. 9/19 picked up truck from coil side correction. 9/22 truck not riding correctly. Noticed that they did not install lock nuts on lower shock mounts, and bolts were pushed out. Back to Epic to have them fix same day. 10/6 Binding sound coming from front end. Caused from Epic not installing the trac bar spacers that came with kit. Back to Epic. Gary said he would order new spacers and call me when they get in. I called twice to check, was told on order, but never heard back from Epic. 10/26 I called Carli. You guessed it, Gary never ordered them. Carli gladly sent me the needed parts, and I completed the install myself. read more

Very disappointed with staff and with unsatisfactory work done at this shop. Went in for new tires and alignment. Had to get alignment done 3 times, still wasn't correct, and had tires re-balanced at discount tire. Took truck to different shop and they were able to get it correct the first time. As a result, I have worn down brand new tires and these guys did not stand behind their work at all. read more

Phones go unanswered, it takes hours to get a call back. Prices are a bit higher than other places. Employees try to haggle you to buy more. Poorly ran, I heard it had new management. That explains the decline perhaps. I wouldn't believe the 5 star ratings. I would certainly shop around before you try this place. read more
