I'll be completely honest I went for the strawberry smoothie I was skeptical because it's is $19 dollars but gosh it was TASTY!!! I loved it, it was sweet but not to sweet just made to perfection. This place is quite expensive but I love browsing for new and unique items here. The hot bar/deli counter foods and salads are high quality and taste like restaurant food. Be warned that a combo plate will cost you around $30 though. The smoothie bar is a must to complete the full Erewhon experience. The most bougie supermarket in LA. It's famous for their smoothies and ridiculously high prices for simple everyday items. I have heard the hot food items are pretty good, but this time around I ordered the smoothie. The line is pretty confusing because you had people in one line to order smoothies but also pay for their hot food items. In addition there was a separate line for groceries. We went around 8 pm and it was surprisingly really crowded. The staff were pretty rushed and not super patient with questions/ringing you up. Was it good? Yes, but was it worth it for the hype and the hefty price tag to get it several times a week? I take little issue with what is actually served here and the structure of the store. It's a lot nicer and bigger (although I find that there should be a restroom in the actual grocery store as opposed to tucking the only two away in the wine shop that's located next door) than some other locations in LA. The food itself is fine--just as you would expect. My main issue encompasses the service. The woman checking out my groceries looked visibly irritated and annoyed with me when I asked her how she was doing; I understand if people are having a bad day or maybe are not 100% content with their job, but that's not an incentive to be terse or dismissive if someone is trying to be polite. It also didn't help that it was my birthday that day. But anyhow...I won't come to this location anytime soon at all--the customer service at Studio City, Calabasas, and Santa Monica are immensely better. read more

For $18 you best believe that my son and I are going to share one. It is made with 11 ingredients that is suppose to make your skin glow. It was not too sweet but I would have liked to taste the strawberry more. Honestly, it was only okay. Not something I would get again but glad that I finally got to try it. I got a kick browsing around the market and getting shocked by all the prices. Oddly enough, some of the sweet treats did not have a price displayed. All their produce and fruits are blemished-free. Everything is neatly stacked on the shelves. All their hot and prepared foods looked very appetizing. Despite some reviews saying how bad customer service is, I found them to be super friendly. A few associates asked if I needed any help. It is also a dog friendly place. As for their $12 Organic Roasted Peanut Butter, TSA confiscated it in my carry-on. I keep forgetting about the liquid requirement. She opened the jar and said it looks like really good PB. I told her...IT'S THE BEST!!! I took a few spoonfuls of it the night before. Lol. Bummer because I really wanted to try it with toast. It is not artificial tasting, just natural, the way pure pb should be. Thanks to Justin L.'s review, I knew to do the FREE valet parking. This place has scams. Why the grift in a grocery store? I was sick and ordered 10 jars of soup. They charge 2/3$ deposit for a 50 cent jar on top of the 18$ soup cost. The soups are good. Great. I returned all the jars for my eighteen dollar deposit and they tell me they cannot give out more than 10$. I told her great because it's not a handout it's my money. She ended up giving me an eighteen dollar gift card seconds after telling me she'd have to give me ten dollars the remaining on a gift card. Adding insult to injury is that while placing the order there was a statement that they provide a 20dollar gift card and 15% off for your first order above 100 dollars. That was not honored. They offer complimentary valet service! So getting here is very easy and stress-free. Tipping is not required but appreciated. Take the elevator and go one floor up. From what I can recall, the left side of the store has the Tonic Bar (where they make all the famous $20 smoothies that go viral on IG and TikTok), drinks, packaged food, sushi, bread, read-to-go hot foods, a pizza bar, and the produce section. There's also an outdoor patio facing Santa Monica Boulevard if you want to stay and eat. The back of the store was mostly dairy, eggs, and more produce. I don't really remember the right side, but I saw check-out counters and refrigerated mason jars of broth/soup. The middle aisles have everything else: condiments, grains, snacks, dry goods, beauty products, kitchen supplies, etc. The wine is in a separate shop next door. Expect to pay around 40 to 60 percent more compared to your average grocery store. $12 for a dozen organic eggs. $30 for a 5 lb bag of whole grain brown rice. $16 - $24 for a 32 oz jar of soup or broth. They have a wood-burning oven to make fresh organic pizzas. You can choose from their pre-set menu or build your own. I ordered a 10" Round with olive oil, mozzarella, Pachamama bacon, mushrooms, and bell peppers. I also ordered a second one with tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, and ricotta. Their organic dough is phenomenal, with just the perfect amount of crispiness and chewiness. All the toppings tasted fresh as well. I will say the crust is on the thicker side though; I know some people prefer the opposite. Of course, I couldn't leave without getting a smoothie! The Coconut Cloud is a creamy concoction of bananas, pineapples, avocado, vanilla stevia, coconut cream, almond milk, almond butter, and vanilla collagen. The blue color comes from an algae-extract called Blue Majik. It's very natural tasting, I found it not so sweet. The aftertaste of the coconut cream is kind of funky for me, I'm personally not crazy about it. Since I work from home now, once it gets a little warmer outside I will definitely go there and work outside in the patio area. They have a nice outside patio area that is not too noisy in my opinion (on a busy street though). This location is fairly new. The parking is not the best. The customer service has always been hit or miss, but today I had a terrible experience with a person named "Mr. Dave" (wearing a coconut Hawaiian-style button down and was dealing with the cashier at the smoothies). His demeanor was cocky, and he was rude, then gaslit me when I pointed out he was being rude. I got the wrong smoothie and all I wanted was a new one, and it was like pulling teeth when the error was on the preparer. They put mint oil when it has no mint. Ultimately, a very nice lady named Bertha (with guidance from another colleague) remade my smoothie and got it right. The bathrooms here are also very poorly maintained. Each time I have come they are dirty or smell, or like today, the sinks were littered with vegetable leaves? As if people washed their produce in the sinks. As others have commented, there are only 2 stalls per gender, and they are outside the store in the wine shop. Perhaps it's the lack of proximity to the main store leads to their neglect. The food is fine. The smoothies are either really extra and only a few are good. I think the maca bomb is the best, but the calorie content is not published (and the workers don't know the content) so I hesitate to get it every time. The cold food is good, on the healthier side, but flavors of the breakfast burritos and the curry chicken salad are great. The sushi always tastes under seasoned. The sushi sandwich is overhyped and greasy. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Could it be better? Yes. Finally, the service for smoothies is very slow. I waited 25+ minutes for 3 smoothies. And they have at least 4 employees working at the smoothie/coffee bar. The wait time is pretty consistent and not worth it.
