Eric is an honest person, and he won't charge you unless he has to. I called about my boss's safe (we locked the code which was on the manual). I emailed 11 other locksmiths in the area with the same message and got estimates of $250 upwards - but Eric not only recieved the message, but gave me his number to call after reading that it wasn't a damaged safe, but something we could fix ourselves. He walked us through it and we were able to open the safe. He kept stressing that he wants to help people as much as possible. He didn't charge us or end up getting bussiness from us. An incredibly easy transaction, which is what you're looking for in a locksmith. Details: Needed a new mailbox lock as I moved into a new condo without a key to the mailbox. I called Eric and setup an appointment for 10:00am in the morning. At 10:03am, Eric calls, asking if I'd like him to start working, as I was running a bit late. I show up at 10:05am and he's already done replacing the lock with a new one. Locked myself out right before I had to be at work. Called 2 other locksmiths before, but all were too far away. Third call was to the number posted on the front gate of my building stating: 24 hour locksmith. I called the number, explained what I wanted and asked for a quote. Without any idle or unnecessary fluff, the man on the other end says "$65". He politely asks if I checked to see if the manager or anyone else could let me know, to which I respond no. He then asks where I'm located, I give him the cross streets, and he says "20 minutes." I'm watching the clock anxiously, as it was 8:19 and I was supposed to be at work at 8:30. He literally arrived in 21 minutes from the time the call ended. As he approached the building, he goes "I've been here before; it looks like management doesn't care." AMEN BROTHER. They do not. Manager doesn't return calls for sh**. Anyhow, he gets right to work and I'm in my apartment within 5 minutes. He stayed true to his price, too! I was gathering my things to take my dog on a walk on a cold, cloudy Sunday. Phone, check. Umbrella, check. Thermos with a hot beverage, check. I was rushing myself to get out before that unusually heavy winter rain started again, and I wasn't consciously thinking about it. So, of course it was right when I stepped outside and closed the locked door, almost purely out of muscle memory, that I realized my mistake: the keys were still inside.
