We got locked out of our bedroom (for some wacky reason it has an exterior door lock on it). Called Eric's a little after 8pm, the guy showed up in 20 minutes as promised. In all of 10 minutes he quickly unlocked the door then matched the lock to a door we do have keys to. Would definitely call again. read more

I called this morning for a locksmith. I had a lock on my gate that was locked by a visitor in error, and I had no way to open it (it was a combo I lock I no longer had the combo for). I had a gardner coming the same day, so I needed someone to come by the same day. I found Eric's Locksmith on Yelp, and I contacted them. The lock was removed within 45 minutes from my phone call, and I was charged a much better rate than others I received quotes from. $55 is still a lot of money to me, but it is better than the $95 others tried to charge to just cut a stupid lock! I called Eric's Locksmith yesterday when I couldn't get into an apartment due to a broken doorknob and keyhole. He answered the phone right away and it wasn't an answering machine or service. Eric was very kind, professional, and friendly. He came to meet me within 20 minutes during major traffic time. I was so happy that he was able to unlock the door right away. He replaced the doorknob and made new keys. His prices are very reasonable and what I liked most was that he is very nice and takes pride in his work. I locked myself out of my apartment last night, and I had to find a locksmith. I don't know anything about locksmiths, so I ended up on Yelp. Eric's was the best rated with the most reviews in my area, so I figured they were the place to choose. I called three times over the course of 10 or 15 minutes and never got a response, so I went to the next-best place on my list. They came over quickly -- I wish I'd tried them first. We called the locksmith two days in advance to make an appointment for 9:00 am. It was 11:15 before they finally showed up. During that two hour delay, we called them several times. Each time they answered and assured us that they would be here in 15 - 30 minutes. When they finally arrived, I complained about the delay and asked why they were so late. The man replied that they had been in a location with no cell reception, and he was "so sorry" that they could not call and update us on the delay. I called them at 4:30 on a Sunday, and they were here within 15 minutes. My key broke in the lock when I came home, and it turns out that I had a bad copy to begin with. They charge $75 flat, no matter if they are there for 5 minutes or 5 hours. He had to make a copy from the actual lock, and it was all fixed in about 30 minutes. Very friendly, fast, and efficient.
